Marcin and his wonderful group of workers have completed two projects for us, within the last twelve months. They will begin another in a few weeks. Our new bathroom has received raves from our family members. The painting, electrical, flooring and overall improvement in our downstairs from our second project is just outstanding. Had M.A.K. out to discuss a few concerns and ideas I had regarding gutters on my newly purchased home. The representative, who I learned later was the owner, went through everything with me, and even suggested that some of the things I thought about doing were not a good use of my funds. He explained the logic of why he thought I shouldn't do what I wanted to do, and suggested what he would do instead. He saved me a lot of $$$ and I learned a lot about my home. In the end I hired them only to repair a support bracket on my front gutter and to clear out any clogs from all the other gutters. A much smaller job than I thought it would be. After the April 1st 2023 hail storm that ran through a narrow geographical band of Trenton, Allentown, Cream Ridge and Jackson we needed remediation for severe damage (25 vinyl punctures). Marion Kapala (President of MAK) visited our home and quoted virtually immediately. He knew the vinyl product, knew where he could secure it and confirmed the color was still available. His quote was accepted by our insurance carrier and installation was scheduled accordingly. The team that did the full-side of the building re-install were experienced, efficient, and courteous and we even added 6 double-hung windows while we were at it. MAK's team from Aga and Wanda in the office, to the men on the job, to Marion Kapala himself were the epitome of professional from start to finish. About a year ago got a quote of $375 for a simple caulking job from Marcin. I disagreed with his price. As he walked away he said we can negotiate the price later. Within a few days a MAK worker came to my house and did a 10 minute cauling job around my two second story windows. I waited weeks for Marcin to call and negotiate. Instead, he called and screamed and yelled at me to pay up. I reminded him that he said we could negotiate. No negotiation just more yelling to pay up. With no other options I paid but in the process learned that Marcin's word to negotiate was a sham. Buyer beware! If Marcin was more honest and truthful, I would have considered him for replacing my roof. He lost a big job because of his rudeness besides not keeping his word and overcharging. read more

I had MAK redo my roof, gutters, leaf guards and lift my sloping front porch and add another post. The roof, gutters and guards look fantastic! They did make a "mistake" on the billing for the number of plywood my roof actually needed replaced, charging me for 19 when I only needed 13. That's a few hundred dollars difference and luckily for me, I had cameras that recorded them saying how many I actually needed. The carpenter that fixed my porch did an okay job lifting the sloping end of the porch but put the post in the wrong place and didn't do a good job matching the new post to the preexisting posts. I have to tear out the post and have it completely redone. When I told them how bad it was, he gave me a refund of $50, but the porch part of the job cost me over $1,000! I guess I eat the rest of it and take it as a lesson learned. read more

We used MAK 5 years ago to re do the roof on our house and the roof on our two story garage. The roof on the house was ok but the roof on the garage was never finished. The garage has a mansard roof and they only did the two lower sections. I never noticed it until recently when I was in the neighbors yard and looked up. You can't miss it when you are far away, the shingles are the old color. We paid for the whole garage to be done. I'm embarrassed that it took this long to notice, but it never occurred to that they would cut corners like this. I guess they thought I would never see it. I called them and they said someone would be coming. Never happened. Now they are ignoring me. read more

First of all, these people are all foreign and don't speak English so well. It's a little hard to communicate with them. And they ripped me off. I paid them a lot of money to put a roof on my house but the roof leaked after they did it and they said, sorry, we can't help you with this. Their guy Paul does not return calls. Their prices are cheap but you get what you pay for. Please, think twice before calling ths shady outfit. "Miscommunications occur and any problems should have been reiterated" Marion, thanks for explaining that if someone calls you 5 or 6 times and says "my house didn't leak before you put on a new roof but after you guys put on a new roof it started to leak, can you please help" and the lady who answers says ok, i'll tell Paul and and Paul never calls back it's a MISCOMMUNICATION and it's the customer who is FRAUDULENT, not the contractor. Sorry if I seem angry put I had to pay a lot of money to have another contractor fix the job you did because I don't like having the rain come into my bedroom and soak the drywall. The whole experience was a real hassle. And Tim T., could you be a relative of these guys? because apparently if you found them easy to communicate with you must be fluent in Polish. read more

We contracted MAK to replace our 28 year old leaking roof. The entire process, from getting the estimate, scheduling the work, and installing the new roof was excellent. During the estimate, all of our options were clearly explained with samples of everything needed for the job. The crew showed up as scheduled and immediately got to work. While removing the old roof, they were very careful to protect the vinyl siding, windows, and plantings surrounding the house. They worked tirelessly for two days in the blazing Summer heat. When the work was finished, they cleaned up all traces of the construction. Several months later, we noticed that a downspout had been slightly disconnected from the gutter at the top of the roof, causing a loud dripping sound in our bedroom whenever it rained. I had the same problem with this company. They put a new roof on my historic home. First, the work was sloppy, with cement splattered all over my walls and even on my windchimes. Worse, the "new" roof began leaking a year later. I ended up with severe structural damage & termites. MAK refused to acknowledge that their job was substandard. I have since had the roof redone by a reputable company, with zero resulting problems. Steer clear of these incompetents. read more

Would given them a zero if it let me.Came out 8/7/18 for estimate to repair leaking bedroom roof.Owner said could not repair today but will be out next day 8/8/18.After waiting all day for them we called at 5.30pm only to be told that he didn't say it would be today but that it would be a minimum of a couple days.Both myself and wife were there when he said next day.Evening 8/8/18 it rained had water leaking into bedroom all night.Next day we called 8/9/18 and after telling them we would never recommend them to anyone they offered to come out 8/10/18.They claimed they gave me a good price to help me out!
