Our floor was, shall I say, quite messy around the walls with paint splotches. He cleaned all of that. We have two bedrooms off of this room. The flooring was terrible in the door ways with offsets also. Given the age, they look absolutely beautiful now. Our floor is so bad, that the ends of the planks and the nail holes are quite dark from considerable age, and still, they look very nice afterwards. They had to the charm of the satin finish. We even had an area about 16 inches square that was, shall I say, ugly. The area had been repaired crudely. He removed the planks and did a very nice staggered repair. The room has a baseboard heater on one wall. I removed it for the repair. I will be installing a new heater. The floor surface underneath was terrible. Allen repaired this area right down to the area around the electrical supply. Given the age of the floor it looks just great. Now, when at some future time, someone replaces the heater they will find a very nice looking floor underneath. Allen was very clean as he worked. There was very little sanding dust for his belt sander had dust collection. His other finishing equipment had vacuum capability to which he attached his supplemental vacuum system. This floor is adjacent to an oak floor. He did a very professional match up. We can't wait for us to contract Allen to finish the oak floor of one bedroom. It has never been finished since it was put down 50+ years ago. Given the "old charm of our little living room, this floor should turn out just great under Allen's expertise.

That's where Pardini Construction (Owner Joel) came in and managed to impress me. Joel really cared about what the site was going to be used for and before doing anything wanted to do a site walk to look for anything weird or problematic areas. While doing a site walk seems like a no brainer some of the other companies i reached out to didn't think it was necessary or showed up kicked some dirt and said that will be $$$$. Joel came out with laser levels, measuring equipment galore, and years of knowledge/experience. After dotting the I's and crossing the T's we got everything on the calendar to start within a couple weeks. The entire way through Joel would let me know the status of certain things and follow up with additional questions if needed. There was a point where my other building contractor documentation was a little bit confusing and Joel unprompted reached out to them and hashed out everything with them for me on my behalf.
