There was a leak under the kitchen sink and I called David again. Because of the tenant schedule, David opened up Sat morning to help to fix the leak. He also help to check the water leak from the ceiling in the laundry room and the water heater problem for no addition cost. Robbie helped us with a bathroom remodel, ie, vanity, sink, and faucet. He went out of his way to ensure the whole setup looked good. Our new vanity is not as long as our old one, so some vinyl flooring was showing. Robbie brought a transition piece to accommodate the gap. Picture perfect now. I spent a good few months looking for a handyman service in the Tacoma area and am so glad I finally found David from Yellow Van Handyman. We moved into our Victorian Craftsman about two years ago and the to do list had been steadily piling up. I was looking for a reliable, friendly person who could come over and check out the different issues (both big and small) and explain to me what it would take to fix them, which things should be a priority based on safety or preventing further damage, and which things might be too costly to be worth fixing. I was also hoping that person could spot things I hadn't noticed so I could stay on top of issues before they got worse. Not only does David do all of those things but he is also very communicative, fast, and accommodating. Stepan Rybak installed new glass shower doors, traced the problem in my hard-wired smoke detectors circuit, repaired piping in kitchen and bathroom sinks, installed an over-the-stove microwave, and repaired holes in drywall, among other jobs. He and David installed new bathtubs, tile surrounds, and flooring in my rental condo bathrooms. Stepan is professional, friendly, neat, and reasonably priced. Stepan was punctual and pleasant. I hired this company to install an over-the-stove microwave when the installers at the big box store from which I bought it was unable to complete the job. Good thing, because they didn't bother to check the venting before they attempted to hang it. It took a little bit of doing and a trip to the hardware store for a part, and I'm delighted with the result! Stepan also fixed a folding door that has been messed up for several years. Great video and very helpful. The issue I had was they sent the wrong seal. Bearing were correct. Ok we all make mistakes. It's how a company corrects the issue is the key. In short NO GOOD! I called on a Wednesday and explained the problem. They told me a new seal would be shipped that and I assumes next day. I called the following day to follow up and was informed they do not ship next day but priory mail. ( AGAIN NOTE IT WAS THIER MISTAKE). Friday we received a call informing g us that it did not ship as stated but it did the following day. Now I won't get the correct seal till Monday. I have a washer torn apart and closing this house for the season. IT ALWAYS AMAZES WE HOW CHEAP SOME COMPANIES ARE WHEN IT COMES TO CORRECTING THIER MISTAKES. read more

We had to install a kitchen hood and duct it in the attic, and then vent it out through the roof; the home never had a kitchen vent exhausting out of the roof before. And it was so difficult to get hold of reliable contractors who can do that job confidently and even give a clear breakdown of our options. Ive been working with a lot of contractors lately as we are doing a huge remodel, and Robbie is one of a kind! Great communication, shows up a few minutes early, and despite being paid by the hour works fast, and efficient. He fixed holes in drywall, put in new front exterior door, and fixed sliding closet doors and bill was more than reasonable for time and quality of work. My husband who works with contractors can be picky on quality of work, but he was even satisfied with Robbie's drywall fix, for it was better than the actual drywall-er who did our kitchen. We hired a handyman in the past who attempted to fix our closet doors, he had to make two hardware store runs, because he couldn't find right pieces to make our sliding closet doors work, and never was able to fix them. Robbie, went to just local home depot came back and I was expecting him to also have problems, as our closet doors are old, but the next thing I knew he said he was finishing in 15 minutes and all 3 closet doors slide like they're as good as new! read more

Robby arrived on time to repair our wooden fence and got quite a bit done in a reasonable amount of time. He had the necessary equipment, good knowledge and experience. Prices were more than fair. I also had him change out all our sinks water shut off valves and install a wall mounted tv. He was excellent. I am very pleased with his workmanship. He is my Handyman of choice and I recommend him. I wish I could give 100 stars. We had a job to install crown molding in our kitchen and we had a deadline for a refinance inspection. Robbie was supposed to be our guy, but he had a family emergency. We used Robbie a couple of years ago to install a kitchen sink, and he did an outstanding job. Top-quality work backed by professional, courteous service. So, when I had a plumbing emergency this time around, he was the first person I called. Without going into too much detail, it was 5pm on a Monday, my shower needed repair that was beyond my pay grade, and I was without water.
