It used cheap glue, perhaps because the canal was submerged in water for a long time and started to loose after two years. At the beginning there were only two or three places, but later there were more and more loose and later, bubbles began to appear in many places. It turns out that the entire new replacement was not built to standard. It's very difficult for ordinary people like us to notice. Therefore, you need to consider this before choosing them.

They did an overpriced, shoddy job installing our roof actually leaving tiles all over it including a tile glue-side down on the skylight that we had to chase them to come remove and a giant permanent black stain on the sidewalk in front of our house. The skylight leaked a month later and again we had to chase them to even get a response. Ignored our calls and would blow off set appointments with no communication whatsoever. Finally they sent two random guys, who didn't bring a ladder (roofers!) and had to use mine, and they charged us more money saying it was because of a mild storm we had. This never happened with our previous roof and was obviously to get out of honoring their fake warranty. Months later the roof leaks again, and again they're either ignoring our calls altogether or the shifty owner tells us a time then blows it off. Avoid this horrible scam of a business at all costs.

He called back very quickly to set up an appointment. He also emailed the very next morning, about 5 recent references from single customers and from sites like Angie's List etc. They were very good references and basically described the kind of reasonable - yet professional work that he had performed for them. He showed up exactly at the time we agreed on, looked at the perspective job, looked at my paint 'chips', asked me very pertinent questions, and we agreed on a price and a day to start and how long it would take etc. He and a helper showed up at the exact time agreed on the day we agreed and immediately got to work prepping and so forth. He had previously given me instructions as to what I could do to prepare my rooms to help things start smoothly, so I had done just that. Ozzie M. is the owners of this painting / drywall repair / cleaning business and has a small army of help. He had informed me that he had people doing work on another job near my area at the same time and he brought one of them along and honestly that is all he really needed to get the work done! Both of them got right to work, had all my furniture covered completely with plastic protection and everything. He then took my paint color chips and went to get paint while his assistant worked on priming and patching walls. He had previously given me the option for me to pick up the paint or he would. I just had him do it, seeing I am sure he gets a much better price than I would. He was back in no time and from 9am until around 4pm they had completed the first coat and trimmed out both rooms! He made arrangements to return the same time in the morning the following day, and did. Again, with his assistant, they finished applying the second coat in both rooms. Then his assistant left and Ozzie had the entire work completed by around 4pm. He walked around with me to be sure we both could inspect of the work to my satisfaction, and fulfillment of the written agreement. It was entirely and very, very nicely executed. I personally would have had to use painters tape, little step ladders, all kinds of drop cloths, and who knows how many frustrating hours and days to get anything nearly as close to the work he had done in roughly 14 hours. My apartment is old and all of the doors and windows have heavy duty and that old world quality trim all around them, and all the doors have somewhat fancy lentil trim above them, as well, and there are 8" floor board trim - (I don't know what it's called) in the bedroom and I think 10+" floor board trim in the living room. There is rather simple crown molding in both rooms The crown molding and all of the door and window trim was excellently trimmed and looks beautiful! He also painted the bedroom closet door as well as the bedroom entry door front AND back. The color is wonderful, and the walls look nice and smooth for old plaster. Even the electrical switch covers and light switch covers didn't get accidentally painted on or anything. I am extremely pleased with his work and I am planning on hiring him again very soon to paint my entry hall walls and the walls in my hallway to the bedroom and bathroom. He also repairs plaster ceilings, drywall work of all kinds, little of this and that as well, and most of all, he is very very professional, but also very kind and respectful too. Both of those traits I think, make a good contractor, in addition to their abilities. You can tell that his company and he has a lot of experience with this type of work and takes great pride in the completed project AND cares what his customer thinks too - and that is extremely rare in big fancy expensive corporate painters or contractors.

I learned so much about our gutters and roofs from that first meeting, he was a wealth of knowledge. Right there, I knew he was our guy. I didn't need Jay to fix the slate anymore but since I was so impressed I happily hired him to do some gutter fixes we needed done and painting a small portion of flat rubber roof white. He texted to give me a heads-up before he arrived each day and gave me a recap after each day to share progress and findings (with photos).
