Amateur photos at professional prices. I am a widow, 41 years old. I have taken family pictures…read moreevery year until my husband passed from leukemia in May 2019. After struggling through the last 19 months I decided my family was ready to brave taking family pics. The photographer I have used for years had moved so I went looking for a new photographer, which is how I found Jeni Vincent Photography. I was super excited to get these pictures done. I paid for an hour, got 45 minutes. We went to Calico Basin at Red Rock. It was a gorgeous fall day, the leaves on the trees were bright yellow and stood out beautifully against the Red Rock landscape. None of our pictures captured any of that beauty. We were told to stand in areas where the landscape background was washout greens and whites. I was hopeful of one shot where we stood on a platform between the beautiful yellow trees, but the final product you don't even see the trees we are surrounded by and the background is so overly edited that you can't even make out what we were standing in front of. When I got the final product I immediately reached out to her regarding the pics as everyone with myself in if was at such a poor angle that my double chin looked as if I had no neck. I asked if she could edit that and was told No. I then reached out to my old photographer (who shoots New York fashion week, and miss universe every year) and asked if I could pay him for edit the pics. He told me to send him the worst one. I went into Dropbox and found the worst one. Seconds after receiving it he told me so sorry there is no amount of editing that can or will fix poor lighting and poor angles and that's exactly what happened with my photos. I was advised to reach out to my Jeni and request a refund being professional photos were not what I received. When I emailed Jeni advising her I was not able to get it edited and would like a refund, she responded sighting she does not issue refunds. Then she sighted the money was for the hour she took taking my photos (which was only 45 mins) and then the 3 hours she used to edit them. She then went further to say that she had done additional edits that she normally charges $15 a photo for. Those edits can I just say are just as bad as the originals. So here I am out $250 for professional photos I can't even hang on the wall. Personally speaking, any photographer or artist should stand behind their work. I paid for professional photos, from a professional photographer. A professional photographer would know what angles and lighting to use that flatters all body types, however this photographer is not a professional, but she is charging professional prices... If you want quality photos I suggest you take your business elsewhere to a professional photographer.

We still wanted to get married as planned so we decided to do a micro wedding in town and push our large reception to what will be our 1 year anniversary. I didn't know where to start! Navigating fees and permits, outdoor rentals, decor, etc. was not something I was ready to tackle on such a tight timeline. We found Heather and after a phone call I knew we were in great hands. I told her our ideas and she designed a package for us that fit our needs perfectly- she also suggested the perfect location! I was sold.  As the months leading up to our wedding passed, 2020 continued to throw curveballs our way. My fiance's father got sick, my grandma passed, and my dad had impending open heart surgery. A hard year just kept getting harder. As time continued to pass and we were so busy with travel to be with family on top of "normal" life, Heather was always a gentle voice letting me know that everything was being handled and that we didn't need to add our wedding to the list of things to worry about. It was such a relief to have her. She was always so kind and compassionate, even when the day was getting close and I was emailing her constantly with questions!  Our big day finally came. I didn't look anything like we imagined when we first got engaged, but it was absolutely perfect. Covid ruined our plan A, but Heather took our plan B and made magic. Our ceremony space was beautiful. She went above and beyond what we had talked about and I was blown away when I arrived. Beyond the coordination, she was also an incredibly fun photographer to work with and her experience and love for what she does is palpable. We got our sneak peek photos the same day and were over the moon. We got the full album back in way less time than expected and are just so in love with the photos. We look through them often to relive the best day that 2020 gave us and our families. We can't thank Heather enough for all of the love and work she put into our wedding.

After postponing our May wedding in Tahoe, my fiancee and I decided to elope. We drove 10 hours…read morefrom SF to Vegas for a socially distanced wedding with Elvis then drove back. I wanted to have 1-2 nice photos of the ceremony, just to capture the moment. I found Ashley through a friend and reached out. She was so responsive, friendly and helpful (even giving us a few tips for planning the trip). The streets of Vegas were empty, so Ashley asked if we wanted to take some photos around town. We are NOT picture posers (we didn't even do engagement photos) but agreed because we were having so much fun and wanted it to last a little longer. She made us feel very comfortable and I was so surprised that we didn't look awkward AF in the photos ha. It really felt like we had a friend with us. She's a kind, thoughtful and generous person - she even brought us a little gift to commemorate our trip. It honestly would have been a very different experience without her. We really appreciated her willingness to shoot in a location she was not familiar with as it is one of our son's favorite places to be. She scouted the area prior to our appointment and you would never have known it was her first time photographing the area. The photos were just amazing! Truly, I knew they would be good, but the final product blew me away.
