Like many in our neighborhood, the May hail storm trashed our roof and gutters. My neighbor had used M&M recently and I was impressed with the job they did on his home. Firstly - Tamara is amazing! She worked with me from the original inspection, to meeting with the insurance adjuster to monitoring the work and inspecting the final job. Her communication was thorough and timely and really helped with the process since we were out of town for some weeks between the storm and start of the replacement. The crew replaced my roof on the hottest day of the year (I felt so sorry for those guys) and did a great job, including a really thorough clean up afterward. The insurance check came through quickly and I was able to pay them today. They did the inspection for free and never asked for any upfront funds throughout the process. We've had M&M Roofing Siding & Windows out to our Clear Lake house four times in the past several years. They've repaired and replaced water damaged roof trim I found upon removal an old patio cover. A fairly extensive job. Mike McCollom and his team knocked it out of the park. A year later we suffered some hail damage to our roof and we didn't hesitate to call Mike back for that work. His crew replaced our roof and fixed a pesky chimney leak that I'd been chasing for a decade. Not long after that I found more water damage on our detached garage from another of my DIY jobs from several years ago. This past summer it was time to replace some trim around three of our windows, patch up some wood where the squirrels had scratched their way into the attic, and take care few other little items. I really had high hopes for this company. We received their contact through a neighbor who had siding replaced by them. They came out a couple months ago and I had to follow up several times to get a my first quote. Once I got that quote, I had to ask for two different ones. I ended up receiving one of the quotes, but needed the second quote to compare prices with another siding company.. I never heard back from my original contractor that came out, and then decided to call the company to reschedule another person to come and provide a quote. They ended up sending the same guy who did not give me the quote that I asked for. My husband told him I needed the quote by the end of the day in order to proceed, because we needed to fix the damages to our house from the tornado that happened in May 2024. He came two days ago and unfortunately I have yet to receive a quote. I really wanted to use them as they seemed very nice however they are not responsive. Excellent service! Sandy came out for the inspection and was super nice and explained everything. She went over and beyond reviewing our storm damage and recommending repair. I chose her because she was personable and not pushy. The company also follows the TWIA requirements, which is very important so I don't lose coverage. M&M handled everything! All I had to do was choose shingle colors and type. I got upgraded shingles so I don't have to worry about this anymore. It took a while for the guys to come out, but I blame that on the amount of work everyone needed after the storm. The day of service, the guys showed up early, ready to work! Unfortunately, it was raining, so we had to delay a day, but Sandy called and explained they'd be back the following day. The next day the workers were at my house by 6:30 am and started working as soon as we left at 6:45am! They covered the landscaping and worked so fast and efficiently that I felt lucky to have such great assistance! When I got home from work, it was like nothing happened! I had a new roof but no debris, trash, or signs that anyone had been there! I was terrified of running over nails, but no nails were to be found! WE had M&M Roofing replace a new roof that was installed by another roofing company in June 2024. The job was not installed to GAF certification for us to get a GAF warranty plus other problems.The whole job was a disaster. Not feeling confident in the workmanship we contacted several other companies to see if our concerns were warranted, they were. We decided to re-roof with M&M. Joe was M&M representative that restored our faith in roofing companies. Joe was very patient in answering all our concerns. Joe and his crew (Eppie) were very empathic regarding our previous experience. Joe assured us the the install would be to GAF certifications, to be able to get a GAF warranty, which we now have. After many quotes, I got in contact with Crystal who came out and discussed the entire process with me. She understood our situation and budget limits. She drew up our estimate that allowed us to get a new roof, giving us peace of mind about our house. Even more important, Crystal made sure that my wife was satisfied with the product and color shingles that we were getting. I have used M & M roofing for 16 years. They have always done an exceptional job. But I wanted to write this review because the last two weeks; they went beyond any person could ask. Mike Monicure has taken care of my roof needs for years. He is incredibly trustworthy and has told me not to change roof in the past because it had more years to last. So this last two weeks with the storms, I have had roof damage. Within a two day period they patched the old part of my roof on an addition that a contractor installed and didn't charge me. I am planning to have it replaced with them later this summer. Again, they fix things others do improperly. And then this week, one of my exhaust vents leaked during a storm. The roof vent was put in my another company and they didn't do it properly. Mike came the next day and that afternoon his team came and fixed it before the rain yesterday. We had really high hopes in using M&M, but unfortunately they did not complete the services per their contract or discussions before hiring them. It was frustrating because we selected them because they seemed focused and intent on providing high quality of work and good customer service (one of the reasons we were willing to pay more for them). A lot of the items that were discussed as standard, and would be done, we had to later ask for. Only about 50% of those ended up being done and the others were basically blown off and they refuse to complete. It is just very disappointing to have the service fall short of what was sold to you. In the end I wish we had gone with a different group just to avoid all this hassle and stress. Also as a final note to the women, when addressed with issues they become verbally abrasive and it leaves you feeling uncomfortable discussing further. read more

We called M&M after seeing one of their vans at a neighbor's house replacing their siding. Our experience was similar to that of Jeff as far as correspondence and professionalism. We had someone come out and quote a medium-sized job replacing some siding on our house. We wanted an entire side of the garage replaced with Hardie (with potential for the entire garage) then various spots around the house where our wood siding had rotted out. The guy who came out was nice enough, he was over an hour late but given that this was at least our second rescheduling of the appointment (because of problems on their end btw) we were just ready to have it done. He left saying that he would send a quote in a couple of days and after we knew it a week had gone by without hearing a thing. We tried calling and text messaging but all we got was radio silence. I was actually a little hesitant to write this review at first because it crossed our minds that maybe something bad had happened to him - but after reading another review on here it seems like this might be a chronic problem. We can understand if you don't want to quote the job, ok? I get it. But at least be professional and call to let us know. Even the response that the rep from M&M left on here was mostly an excuse and calling the reviewer a liar for saying he wasn't properly informed of the decision to no-quote! I will never bother to contact this company again, it was an utter waste of time. read more

I guess I am not the only one with this problem. Nathan, the sales rep, came to my house. Very polite and professional. He came to quote a siding job for the whole house. He spent an hour or so measuring everything and writing it down. Climbed on the roof and measured the second story, too. Told me he'd email an estimate within 24 hours. So far so good. However, I NEVER heard back from him. I called a few days later to ask where the estimate was---perhaps he emailed to the wrong address. No response. I called again. No return calls. In the end, I called 4 times over 3 weeks. Never got a call back. Like the other reviewer said, if they don't want the business, then why bother sending out a rep and wasting his time and mine? p.s. - The owner's not in. Everytime I called, he's not in. I cannot say enough great things about this company. We actually found them on a whim just by searching online. We had a leak in our home office that had been driving us crazy for months. Within one afternoon, Juan had the problem fixed. He was extremely professional and did not try to oversell us or misrepresent. As a result, he built trust with us and we hired him and his crew to do an inspection/maintenance servicing of our entire roof. I reiterate my response. The only communication I have ever received from these guys is the response from the owner here. When I read his response, I wasn't even sure he was talking about my place. So much of what his response was about did not even pertain to my situation. Sounds like to me his sales guy mixed up different scenarios and fabricated a situation in his head that plainly never occurred. I'm not sure what happened here, but his response is 85% incorrect. What actually did happen was, yes I wanted a turnkey pricing. I figured the quantity of water coming inside the house was large enough that the source of the leak would be easily identified. The agent was unable to find the source of the leak and therefore a turnkey bid could not have been given, which I understood. He did find some rusted nails that were contributing to some water leakage, but not necessarily in the quantity that was evidenced in the interior. The agent left saying he would send me a bid for the repairs he did notice. It was cordial and friendly when he left. What happened after he left and by the time I ever heard back from anyone (the owners response here on Yelp) is anyone's guess. I do sympathize with the owner who seems like a very helpful and genuine person based on the other reviews here. I do believe they are a good company as well. Used this company referred from our realtor after our ( my cousin and I) home purchase. On December 16, 2022 we closed on our home. They received payment on or about 12/22/22. Their guys Miguel and his helper showed up on 12/26/22 put 2 tarps and left after no work was done no phone call about what was going on nothing. My cousin contacted Jim his boss and he thought the work was done, but it wasn't. My cousin explained to him that they didn't do anything on the quote that they gave us. Jim made arrangements to then came out on 12/29/22 to see for himself that nothing had been done. He then proceeds to tell my cousin he would get a crew out there to complete the work and said he thought it was done. He advised my cousin that they were working in Conroe on another project and he need to check the crews schedule to see when they would be able to come back out,( mind you they have already been paid to do the work), but he was sure it would be the next week. (this was on 12/29/22) We had not heard from anyone until yesterday when the owner did a follow up call to my cousin thinking the job was complete not knowing we have been pushed to the back of the line. The owner then says he would have Jim contact my cousin on 1/10/23 no call. My cousin text the owner back this morning on 1/11/23 letting him know we have not heard from anyone at this time it is 8 AM 1/11/23. My cousin received a call at 11AM from Jim still with no date as to when the work will be complete. This is unacceptable for a company to take the money of a disable vet and keeps putting us on the back burner. At this point if the work can not be done we need to know NOW! Also, we need to be compensated for this inconvenience we are experiencing. A company can fail due to lack of communication with its customers. read more

Fortunately for my husband and me, our roof work was not an emergency. It was just time for a new roof. After getting a few bids, M&M offered us the best deal and seemed the most comprehensive. The work was started on the day we had scheduled and was completed the same day. Once work was completed, we had a beautiful roof that we were pleased with. I docked the company one star since I wasn't overly impressed with the professionalism of the lead contractor we worked with: Rick. We set an appointment to meet at 1PM in the afternoon to do the final walkthrough the day after work was completed. When he hadn't shown up by 1:15, I decided to call and make sure he was on his way. He didn't answer, so I left a message. I got a call back by 1:30 saying that he had completely forgotten to write down that we had scheduled an appointment for that day. He was very apologetic, but as a result of his busy schedule, we weren't able to reschedule until a couple days later. When we did meet up a couple days later, he didn't even mention the fact that he had missed our appointment two days before. I thought that was weird. To his credit though, Rick is responsive to email, which is a pretty big plus in the contractor world. Other than the minor slip up with the missed appointment and some nails left behind, I'm pleased with M&M so far. read more

We moved into our house over the summer and of course had the roof inspected with nothing bad showing. Then we started getting a leak in an odd place. First floor under bathroom. Definitely not plumbing as it only leaks when it rains hard. Called out a highly recommended company (not M&M). To make a long story short, spend $750 on repairs that didn't work. They came out again and quoted over $5k and couldn't guarantee their work would solve the problem. Decided to get another company out to look. Mike with M&M got up on roof used caulking to try too seal what appeared to be a leaking area as a temporary fix until they could get back out to apply a heavy duty sealer along with other repairs. Of course with the holidays in the middle of all this and the damp weather, the repairs took longer than we wanted. The sealer must be applied in dry weather. Repair completed this past week and voila no leak this week during heavy thunderstorms! Repairs were done correctly, Mike actually communicated with us and repairs done at a much much lower cost than other company quoted. Definitely would use again! Have used them again for two minor repairs - once after hurricane Harvey to repair leaky stack from pesky squirrels who apparently like to chew on the stacks. Who knew?? Just had them out for another leak near the chimney. They also did some repairs on our gutters and added some guttering where there was none. I had M& M Replace my entire Roof, Remove Stucco siding and install Hardie plank as well as, Installation of a Solar Vent. There were two separate crews. Those that did the siding took the time to do it right and did a great job. Mike bumped us up due to some damage cause by the Stucco removal and an incoming storm to prevent additional damage. The group was fast and efficient with getting the roof done. While there were some nails and such found in the yard I understand it is impossible to catch every thing. He used terms I didn't understand like "soffit", and when I asked him what that was, he just smiled condescendingly and kept talking. When he was going over the quote with me, he mentioned all corners would be sealed. Then he paused and said, "A corner is where 2 walls meet." Panic struck when after, a week of rain, our roof started to leak. We were getting water from our third story AND second story ceilings and out of our fireplace. Despite the heavy demand for roofers that day (Friday), Bernard from M&M assured me that they would be out as soon as the rain let up enough for them to start getting on roofs again. Sure enough, that weekend (which happened to be that of the July 4th holiday) Bernard and two others stopped by and accurately diagnosed the problem. There was a hole in our roof adjacent to our chimney stack that water was running down. They had even taken pictures while they were up there to show us. They put in a temporary patch until they could gather the materials they needed to make a permanent fix, and came by a couple days later to do the work. We were soooo grateful!.
