I drove to my 2nd choice M&T branch by the University but it was closed.
After 2 years of dodging this branch like the plague (and it is my closest branch), I was forced to go to the Franklin/Madison branch, last Friday, there because I lost my debit card. Well, what a difference a few years makes!
First, the teller. Polite, professional and easily handled my cash withdrawal. After telling her I lost my debit card, she quickly walked me though the android app to file it lost and order a new one (2 years ago the teller would have said tough cookies and 18 driver's licenses for me to help you). After I logged in and the app told me to call customer support or visit a branch to order new card, the teller flagged down someone in the back to help me and asked me to have a seat.
Well, no more than 60 seconds Hunter Campbell introduced himself and took me back to finish the lost process. (last time I was at this branch I waited 20 minutes for a Manager while there was absolutely no one in the back and no one on the phone..managers were just sitting there).
Well, Mr. Campbell finished up the process within, what felt like, 2 minutes and said he would try to get my card to me tomorrow (yeah right a Saturday). Here it is Monday and FedEx just delivered my new card. Holy Customer Service!
I have visited hundreds of M & T branches across the MD, VA, PA, DE area and have never been overly impressed. That changed Friday. Great Job Mr. Campbell and the wonderful teller (sorry I didn't grab your card). M & T should have their trainers visit this branch and spread their professionalism and service skills to the rest of the Company! read more
