    So... This review is not only to share my experience but mainly to ensure that ICG is not his "big…read morebad wolf " of lenders looking to "scam" people as some other reviews have indicated . I am trying to reach those currently, in the market or planning a future home purchase or refinance... And everyone who personally knows me can vouch that I don't do this often... After months of searching for lenders or companies ( both online and referred to me- since I myself am in the business of loan transactions , working at a settlement company) I just recently closed my loan and refinanced with Intercontinental Group ( ICG Bank), with the most AMAZING Executive Mortgage Banker, Taylor Leonard. From the beginning, Taylor knew how hesitant I was . I had already gone through the "shopping process", prior to contacting him and I had learned from my mistakes when I was working with HUGE companies like Quicken, or MTB and I could probably name a few others . He quickly showed that he understood my needs and worked with me LITERALLY every step of the way, to ensure that I was getting the BEST POSSIBLE RATE AND SCENARIO, as possible. It was only a few days before my original closing date, when he contacted me, excited that due to a rate drop within the market, my interest rate became LOWER than originally expected ( which had always originally been lower than what any other lender had offered me in the past) ... Needless to say, I was beyond excited. All said and done , NONE of the reviews on ICG Bank and bogus negative remarks turned out to be true. ICG and especially Taylor ensured me a smooth and efficient transaction and that is EXACTLY what I got. People always have this suspicion when it comes to lenders who look "iffy" or have clients who may have just gone through one minor difficulty and decide to bad mouth or ruin the reputation of the company entirely. I am living proof that this company went above and beyond and resulted in an FHA refinance that included TWO separate refunds ( one from my current mortgage company's escrow balance and one from the UFMIP FHA requires , which I had paid at settlement during my homes purchase transaction) totaling almost $5000 AND ( I kid you not) ... literally brought my interest rate down ( without any points ) resulting in saving almost $300 I am now saving in my monthly mortgage payments! PLUS THE BEST PART? I literally had ZERO to pay in closing costs! The lender gave me a $3200 credit and that basically covered all of the costs associated with any settlement company. When it came down to signing the papers, they did what was most convenient for ME and sent a certified notary TO MY HOUSE at 8:00 pm, so that I wouldn't have to inconvenience myself or my son. I am beyond grateful and so very happy to say, if you are in the market and looking for a bank or lender to use ... Please please look no further. My monthly mortgage payment is now hundreds of dollars less, I have extra money in my account from my refunds and they didn't add anything to my loan. It sounds too good to be true but this is literally what happens when you find someone who has dedicated their lives to what they do and genuinely look out for their clients best interest . So thank your Taylor Leonard, for actually following through with your promises and helping me to feel like I was in great hands the entire way through. It really meant a lot , including the main fact that I can now afford to stay in my 1st house with my son, without having to worry about how I am going to pay my previously RIDICULOUS monthly payment. You are TRUELY Amazing at what you do and I hope ICG knows what a SUPERSTAR they have on their team.

    For small businesses, Wells Fargo has been the worst imaginable banking experience…read more We own several small businesses, including a low-risk medical services provider that has banked with Wells Fargo for five years. Despite paying merchant processing fees more than 165% higher than the alternative we ultimately found, Wells Fargo abruptly terminated our credit card processing in the middle of a business day, even rejecting payments that had already been authorized. We had to contact customers and reprocess their payments through a new processor. The reason? An internal Wells Fargo audit found they had failed to collect required documentation when our account was originally opened. We promptly submitted every document they requested--weeks before the deadline--and received verbal and written confirmation from our local branch that everything had been received and uploaded. Yet Merchant Services later claimed they never received the documents and refused to communicate with our relationship manager, customer service, or local branch staff to resolve the issue. Instead, they canceled our account on the deadline. When we escalated the matter, the executive team said they would investigate and respond...within a month! For a business suddenly unable to accept credit card payments, that response was unacceptable. The silver lining is that this experience led us to a new payment processor with substantially lower fees, better technology, and excellent customer service. We were accepting payments again the next business day. We are now moving all of our business and personal banking relationships away from Wells Fargo. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Wells Fargo to any small business that depends on reliable payment processing and responsive customer support.
