That part of the visit was fine the problem was with the night guard. This is a replacement and was expecting a half hour for the molds to be done. It took 5 min. The cement in both the upper and lower mold had not dried yet when removed which was just the start of the issue. Since they weren't dry they had to be shimmied off my teeth which is puzzling since the whole point of the mold is to make an accurate impression. I received my night guard in a week. The colour was what I ordered but the logo was not. This isn't a biggie but after being given a choice of pictures I would expect that to be what I get. Now for the best part... when the dentist arrived she fitted the guard into my mouth, with some effort. After using a night guard previously I am quite familiar how it's supposed to fit and what good quality work looks like. This one sucked. One final complaint, after asking if the guard was covered with my insurance before this whole process started and I was told they would check. After a few days I phoned to make sure they had confirmed coverage they said yes. I was led to believe this procedure was covered and it wasn't. All it takes is a phone call and this just wasn't done. I tried to return the night guard the same day because of not only receiving a product that wasn't of very good quality or as advertised, but also because of being mislead about the coverage. Unfortunately they closed 2 hours early so I could not return it. I returned the following day and the receptionist said she didn't know how to reverse the charge. What? This place really deserves a one but they have a children's play area with a couple of toys along with a TV in the waiting room which adds an extra. The combination of these two features is needed when waiting with a toddler. Never mind I took a star away, back down to one. The addition of features not related to the service i received shouldn't factor into the rating.

We have circulated through all of the dentists and hygienists and everyone at the clinic is genuine and welcoming. Very little up sell so it's easy to go in without being pressured to get more treatments than necessary. I recently broke a tooth and had Dr. Mike Zhou fix it and the man is a craftsman. I have broken this tooth 3 times now as well as others so I'm familiar with this procedure and he did far and away the best and most detail-oriented job I've ever had done. Immediately out of the chair the tooth felt natural and comfortable and it looks better than all its neighbours! Have to get my other (previously broken) teeth re-capped by Dr. Zhou just to get to bring everything up to this new standard of quality. Top quality service and our family will be clients for life.

I was over charged multiple times, and my plan was charged for visits that shouldn't have been charged for. I won't be too specific to keep matters confidential. After being charged incorrectly (and the rude way it was handled) and not being informed that I was not seeing my dentist, I have completely lost trust in this dental office. This is so sad because of its location in such a nice community with wonderful people.

The booking process was very easy and the receptionist I spoke to was very pleasant and helpful. Prior to our appointment, the receptionist was able to assist me with information needed to confirm that my son's potential procedure would be covered by my extended health plan. Dr Chan confirmed what my mommy instincts were telling me - that despite my son's tongue and lip tie not appearing very prominent, they were severely hindering his ability to eat. He advised that sometimes ties don't look very prominent, but can affect the baby greatly, and vice versa. He provided information for us to decide if we wanted to proceed with the procedure. There was zero pressure at all. We decided we wanted to proceed and Dr Chan was able to do it at the same visit. It was very quick and the baby had forgotten about it quickly after. We brought a bottle to get his mind off things and he slept the car ride home with no fuss. I was worried about the aftercare but Dr Chan put me at ease with his very thorough instructions. We returned 2 weeks later for a followup and were delighted to hear everything was healing perfectly. We are now 5 weeks post procedure and have been steadily seeing positive changes to our breastfeeding journey since. I highly recommend Dr Chan to anyone facing breastfeeding challenges!

My son had a laser frenectomy done by dr Chan around 1 month old. The only part causing any…read morerestriction was the lingual frenum (under the tongue). However dr Chan refused to perform the procedure on just one part and insisted he also laser the upper labial frenum despite there being no therapeutic reason for this. I hesitated and asked him if he would please only do the procedure on the effected area, he refused and said he would do it all or nothing. In desperation I agreed to the procedure but have felt sick about it ever since. I was told the procedure was a minor event however I could hear my son screaming for several minutes during the procedure which I wasn't allowed to be present for and when I returned my son had multiple burst blood vessels on his checks from screaming so hard, he whimpered for days following. This is not how the procedure was described to me. I deeply regret having this done to my son and feel violated almost two years later coming to the conclusion that the only reason he had both areas lasered was for billing purposes. Dr Chan would only make $300-400 on the lower frenectomy but by insisting on doing both the procedure cost around $900. I'm disgusted to this day and would highly discourage anyone from taking their baby or child to this dentist.
