We were then threatened with a lien on our home for additional materials for $230. As you can imagine - taking legal action would cost more than the $230...so we just paid it. Shelby was a bully and after spending $45,000 dollars with them - we did not even get a final walk through. There are definitely touch up spots and for that amount of money you would think that they would at least walk the property with us. We even had to call them because the front steps were not done correctly and they and to come back to fix them - THE FRONT STEPS - who does $45,000 worth of work and does not even come back to check that the front steps are beautiful - especially since that is the last thing that they did? We tried to fight them on the $230, but they threatened us with many things, of which I would be happy to share if asked...just be very careful because what you have on your contract does not matter. Additionally, we had Miranda and Shelby look at the inside for a quote on the paint and never received a quote from them - they do just want the big jobs, for sure. Please be forewarned.

Lukejohn avoids calls, doesn't call back, doesn't provide updates and doesn't deliver on promises. I mean, a simple google search on the guy should tell you all that you need to know when two of the first things that pop up are his mugshot and a breach of contract lawsuit. Sad excuse of a "business", so frustrating and really disappointing. The worst part is my parents are the ones dealing with this company. The kitchen and master bath were supposed to be finished by Labor Day 2024, it was then pushed back to thanksgiving 2024 and the kitchen was barely useable then. The master bath was completed may 9th and the kitchen is STILL not done. 90% of the cost of the cabinets was paid in October in preparation for delivery and they still don't have the finished cabinets. A year ago they were so excited about their new house and since then, they have been constantly let down by this company and it has turned their excitement of starting a new chapter of life in a new home into a complete nightmare. Finally, my mom asked me to call Lukejohn as a last resort after trying to get ahold of him for days/ weeks. And guess what...he answered the phone! When I told him who I was he rudely told me he was out of town and busy and someone would be reaching out that day. They then gave them a July 1st date, which has since turned into August 4th. incredibly pathetic.

Karl and Sons remodeled my two bathrooms. I could not be more pleased. The work they did is…read moreimmaculate. It took a while to complete but that was because Karl and his crew are perfectionists. More like artisans than installers. This job entailed peace by peace installation. Not pre molded, plastic parts. The crew seemed to inspect for perfection every tile and other intricate parts. To great effect, no rushing to get the job done, perfect. There is a difference between expensive and overpriced. Overpriced to me means not worth the money. Quality costs more. Karl is a little expensive but not outrageous. It costs more to have Karl do the job. You get what you pay for. I was extremely happy with the result. You will be happy with the result too. Once Karl and his crew started, they stayed on the job without interruption for a month. On time and courteous. What a great company! Five stars out of five.
