I unfortunately lost my gate keys, and the locksmith wasn't able to make a new set of keys for me. He recommended I hire a welder to redo the whole lock. Copperhead Welding came up in my search, and his great reviews on Google were enough to convince me. I'm so glad I hired him to fix my gates. From day one, he made sure to explain every step of the job, and even pointed out potential safety concerns. He was very upfront and transparent with pricing as well. The end result was securely fastened gates, new locks, and handmade handles. He also added a fresh coat of paint to match the lock box. In the end, I love how my gates came out! They look like a whole new set of gates. I would definitely recommend Matt for any of your welding needs.

You can count on Matt to provide a fair and detailed estimate proposal. He then showed up on time on the date that was agreed upon. He finished the job in two days which was his estimated timeframe at the beginning of the job. The quality of his work was excellent and he and his team were very efficient. He patiently talked me through any issues that arose during the job. He and his team were a pleasure to deal with. He also accepts credit card payment which provides a safety net for the customer should there be a dispute. But I doubt there will be any disputes with Matt. He is a straight shooter and a man of his word.

Fortunately, Juan at Chocolat muffler repair quickly welded it back together and I was able to keep pedaling North to my favorite Cd. Juarez site, Casa de Adobe. After turning around there (I am pushing for this area to become a non-motorized POE), I pedaled East along Ruta Dos, stopping in San Agustin at the Valle de Juarez Museum and camping a bit father along. The next day I literally pedaled to the end of the road, el Porvenir, returned to the USA via FR1088. Anyway, the weld held up wonderfully until a week ago, when I was pedaling North on Yarbrough, uphill, and I felt a familiar give in the seatback. The welds had finally broken through again; after all, it is a seatback, not a muffler. Struggling home, I removed the busted up seatback and motored it to Lone Star Welding, where I met with owner Jerry Oxner. After explaining the situation, he agreed to take this on, despite already overloaded with other, much bigger commercial contracts. I picked up the newly re-built seatback a week later, and I seriously doubt I'll ever have anymore welds breaking--it is very nearly a solid piece of metal now! Of course, that makes it incredibly heavy, some 22lbs/9.9kgs. Many high end uprights weigh less! Regardless, I'm just very, very pleased to have a seatback that'll last far longer than my own back Although he rarely takes such small work, he and his crew sometimes enjoy the unique challenge my Doublevision can present. I'm very fortunate he's willing to take them on, and I for sure don't plan on anymore Doublevision challenges for him (famous last words!). One thing for sure: he & his crew are gifted welders; anybody who has a large commercial project will get only the finest quality work from him!

James Martinez recently installed a privacy fence and a roll bar on top to keep coyotes out of my backyard for me and I am thoroughly pleased with the job he and his crew did. James' word is his bond. When he tells you he is going to be at your location on a specific day and time, that's when he shows up. He doesn't leave the job until it's completed to the customer's satisfaction. James and his crew are very polite, courteous, respectful and have an exceptional customer service attitude. James constructed two beautiful gates to accompany the new height of the privacy fence, painted, installed, added decoration to my specifications and they are beautiful. When the job was completed, James completely cleaned up all debris and removed it. The project was a complete success and I would not hesitate to contract West Texas Fabrication and Welding for any project I may have in the future. I can't thank him enough for the excellent job he and his crew did on my privacy fence and agates.

DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN. He pays no attention to detail, left the place a mess (and told me to clean it myself when I said something), and every single post and the pole across the top are scratched. He made little to no attempt to paint over the scratches. He also was upset that I talked with my neighbor, an expert in the fencing business (retired due to illness) to get info and he offered to come over a couple of times during the day to check things out. He got very angry with me and was extremely ugly. I let him know that he should not use me as a reference - and he said he didn't need any references as he has plenty of large commercial jobs! OH, and he also said I was racist because I didn't offer them bottles of water during the day... I pointed out to him that I have 15 Hispanic grandchildren, 3 Hispanic great grands, and a Chinese daughter. I also told him that the professional, respectful people who re-roofed my house got a cold beer at the end of each day! He obviously couldn't handle me getting advice from someone more knowledgeable than he (who used to be his boss)... A few pictures attached. One more thing, I should have known not to hire him as he did a gate for me a little over a year ago that was sloppy at best and it was already detaching from the side of the house. I asked him to fix it while he was here and he said he would. Then he wanted to charge me $220!!! He does NOT stand behind his work! I have reported to the BBB and retained the texts he sent (and mine), as well as pictures of the poor work as proof of his shoddy work.

Since acquiring it in 2000 from Tandems Ltd with the intention that my daughter would be stoker (my son could pedal his upright) on a West Coast, Victoria-Tijuana bike tour odyssey. Unfortunately, that event got cancelled though I still owned a rather dear bicycle, which saw constant use by me over the following 15 years, including a most challenging bike tour between El PasoTX-USA & HoustonTX-USA, Summer, 2011. On 25APR2015, I pedaled a day tour to Casa de Adobe, North Juarez, Mexico; after passing Boundary Marker 1 and ascending a small gravel incline, I fell. No injury to me, but the impact broke the front lever on my Magura Hydraulic brake and kinked the handlebar. Fortunately, I was able to return to the USA though my right-turning ability was seriously difficult. Naturally, I went to Lone Star Welding/CEO Jerry for his recommendation about how to bend another handlebar; he referred me on, and finally John (Area Iron & Steel) put me onto Westside Welding. A quick phone call there gave me Mario, who expressed interest as they (Westside Welding) had never had such a request as mine. To say the least, I motored to the site and met Ramon prior to my workday. Leaving the new 'bar, I promised a lunchtime return to see how the bend went. Sadly, he had been too busy with other work to even look at mine when I returned, but he took a few minutes to expertly make the correct bend in both sides of the 'bar. Even CEO Mike took a few minutes to add his expertise; I was delighted! Tragically, the installed 'bar did not permit me to do much more than fall over--the original cause of all this problem. Undeterred, I returned the next lay lunch, where Mario was able to use a chopsaw to cut the extraneous 'bar length. How gratifying it was to pedal quite a ways once I had re-installed the doubly-modified bar. It was A-OK! I am extremely grateful to the exceptionally fine Hidden Gem of the World, Crossroads of North America (anchored by El Paso, Las CruceNM & Cd. JuarezMX) I call home. The businesses here are creative, resourceful and willing to try something new/different; Westside Welding is a great example of that entrepreneurship AND it is local! Highly recommended, one of the best around!
