Visited this town and came across this gem! Love that almost everything was in walking distance from our hotel. Absolutely amazing food, the line outside the door when we came into town was a clear indication of the popularity of this place. We were not disappointed, food was wonderful, came out fast, hot and delish! Staff was very friendly and even got to meet Ma who was there working. Super nice lady, hope to return soon!

Small diner with above par diner food Every time I have eaten here, it's busy. Friendly staff and good food. Eggs, toast and bacon are hard to mess up and are typically the same at most diners. The biscuits and gravy were great. Big portions and good flavor. Biscuits were cooked perfectly and the gravy was seasoned well. The Omelet was also flavorful and cooked well. We got one loaded with veggies and meat and I was concerned it wouldn't be cooked well with all the ingredients. But I was pleasantly surprised. Cons: took forever to get our food. Group of 6 approximately 40 minutes from order to table. Food -4 Price -4 Wait time -1

If you want the small town diner/cafe experience this is the place to go! Service was beyond friendly and the biscuits and gravy were to die for. The rest of our breakfast was fairly standard fare (eggs, omelette, bacon, toast, etc) but cooked very well to order and the coffee cup never got below half. If I ever make it back to Marceline I'd love to try some of their lunch options.

After visiting the Walt Disney Hometown Museum, we stopped at Ma Vic's. They had lots of cafe standard on the menu. I got the Chicken Philly, a hogue with Grilled green peppers and onions, chicken, with Mayo and Swiss, it was fantastic! Moist and full of flavor. My wife had the patty melt and she also though it was really good. I would highly recommend when visiting.

Delicious cinnamon roll - ask for it warmed with butter.

If you are in town visiting The Original Main Street USA or the Walt Disney Hometown Museum you need to stop in for a bite at Ma Vic's. Nothing fancy or pretentious but classic diner food and friendly service. Great homemade pie and their own ice cream creation, the Dusty Miller. Ask them how it got it's name. Don't forget to try a cinnamon roll, ask for it warmed with butter. You won't regret it!

For a small town diner they have a nice selection of lunch items. The staff made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Trust me we stood out like a sore thumb. The food was good, almost like going over to friends house for lunch. I cant stress how nice the people are. Even the customers engaged us like we were old friends. If you are near the area do yourself a favor and stop in for a small town diner experience.

Small town, Midwest diner. This is the poster child. Saw a good Yelp review and decided to detour off the highway. Saturday at noon. Busy. Don't be in a hurry. We were greeted by Ma Vic herself. This is the town where Walt Disney grew up. Main Street Disney is modeled after this Main Street. Everyone here knows everyone. Prices are very reasonable. Everything is cooked to order. Pepsi products Breaded tenderloin: they have 2 sizes. The small one was plenty. Breading was fairly light. Mild seasonings Hey. It's a tenderloin sandwich. What more do you need? Tater tots hot and crispy Wife had the patty melt. Another good option This place is the text book for laid back, small town diners Ma Vic, BTW, never stops moving. Cleaning, serving, greeting. She hustles.

Food made me get sick and was up all night throwing up. I got chicken strips and mozzarella sticks and they didn't taste right.

Great little cafe. Food and service was excellent. Got a free "Dusty Miller" sundae that was fabulous. Taco was very good too.

Presuming our son ends up going to Truman, we will be back. To start, the rolls are fresh baked every day and served with local honey butter. They are amazing! Easily the best bread I have ever had. They are a cross between a yeast roll and a biscuit with a hint of sweetness...incredible! My son had the chicken piccata which, though the portion was a bit small, was extremely flavorful. He ate every bit. I had the prime rib sandwich. The portion was large with plenty of provel cheese, onions and mushrooms. It was also delicious. My wife got a giant pile of roast pork served with warm apples and a sweet glaze. The pork was fall apart tender and the glaze added a punch of flavor. All 3 of us had the home fries as the side. These were the crispiest potatoes I have ever had in my life. 10/10. Out waitress/hostess had plenty to do (I think she may have bend doing kitchen prep as well) but she was friendly, welcoming and accommodating. A few tips: the restaurant is very small with few staff (like one person who is the hostess and waitress for the entire place). Reservations strongly recommend. And maybe don't come here if you're in a hurry. Service was not fast but it's clearly because they are taking great care with the food and preparing everything fresh to order. The menu changes frequently so check their Facebook for the latest. All of the food is made fresh and they do run out. Book early in the evening if there is something you have your heart set on.

My aunt called on two separate occasions to make reservations for our larger group. We walked in on the night of my cousin's graduation to celebrate a huge milestone. We walked in and the hostess stated she didn't have our reservation, another lady who was either the owner or manager came up hot and bothered and was EXTREMELY rude. On a hospitality level I give her a -50. She very rudely stated she didn't have our reservation and continued to be awful as we tried to clarify that we had made a reservation. Even if she could have been nice and apologetic about the reservation misunderstanding, I wouldn't have stayed to eat here and support this business. People need to learn how to treat other humans nicely. This lady was NOT nice, one of the rudest restaurant encounters I've ever had.
