Stopped at Noon Whistle with a serious Mac and cheese craving after watching a Facebook series about cheese for over an hour yesterday. I ordered the bacon sausage Mac and cheese. I did not expect the Mac to be slightly Spicy. I guess that's their signature base flavor. I like spicy, so I was pleasantly surprised .... Dare I say that they needed to add more cheese sauce. In a matter of minutes the gooeyness was gone and it was getting thick and dry. I wish they were slightly cheaper or the serving size was larger, as I could have easily eaten 2 of their dishes. Literally the best mac and cheese I've ever had. I mean that with complete sincerity. You ever go to a fancy restaurant and get their expensive mac and cheese and it's like two tablespoons of food and also completely bland? This stuff has FLAVOR!! Oh my god. AND they do the thing where they put crispy bread crumbs on top, so good. I really can't emphasize enough. My husband and I have been to a few Mac Dynamite pop-ups in the past and let me tell you, they did not disappoint!! We have tried their OG as well as Bacon Bonanza and couldn't get enough. So creamy, cheesy and delicious - everything you want your mac and cheese to be! First off, Mac Dynamite is an independent business so right off the bat, you're helping your community and fellow Chicagoans. Second, Mac Dynamite did a pop up at a brewery near me and I made sure my family ordered three different kinds so I could try them all: OG, Mushroom, and Elote. Don't force me to pick a fave! They were all delicious (the Elote was a little spicy for my two year old). Third, Mac Dynamite catering really came through for me when a close friend of mine lost a family member.
