A few friends and I stopped in to talk to the owner about having a show there... and stayed for lunch. The owner is a dynamite lady with great ideas and execution. She just opened a couple of months ago and I am hoping the place catches on. There is so much to see/do/taste: First lunch - I had a glass of wine and a spicy italian sandwich freshly made on fresh bread from Hewn. It was so tasty and spicy... and did I say FRESH?!?! I wrapped up half of it to bring home to share with hubby. It was just as good the next day. Hubby raved as much as I did. My wine was an Oregon Pinot Nior. It held up to the spicy sandwich. Doesn't get any better! There are things to buy - I bout a bottle of gin made in Kansas. I haven't opened it yet, but the bottle was just so cool. There are other gourmet food items to buy. There are purses, jewelry, and more in the back room. All very unusual and worth a look. Games to play - The back room has a great fireplace and a TV (for movies) and GAMES! Bring your friends, get some wine and snacks, and spend a nice afternoon here! Events - The owner says she does events, such as "book club", and movie night. Sounds fun! Art on the walls - Well, I'm hoping to show here... but the curator seems fantastic. It would be an honor. I hear she teaches at the Art Institute. I'm not surprised. She did a great job on the current show we saw! So as the weather gets a bit colder, this seems like a great place to be!

give me COFFEE to change the things I can, and WINE to accept the things I can't

A cute, intimate place off the beaten path for a really good glass of wine and relaxation. We had…read morenever been here and happened to see it driving by. Reviews were good so we came in on a Monday evening. The interior is so cute! Velvety comfy green chairs at the wine bar, smaller lounge tables and couches in the rest of the place. There is a separate room for gaming. We sat at the bar and were warmly greeted by Aria L. She was so courteous and helpful, offering us suggestions on the wines and snacks. They have a great happy hour from 4-7p for $20 wine bottle which is fantastic. The house white was good, although they ran out after a glass and I went for the Simi sauvignon blanc which was so good. The parmesan truffle fries are a MUST. Just $8.99 for a nice sized bowl of crisp, tasty fries with fresh parmesan shaved on top. MM! I had the 12" cheese lovers pizza which had burrata cheese on top oh my GOSH that is gooooood. It's rich so I had plenty of leftovers for the next day. My friend got the 12" Diavola pizza which she loved. My other friend got the Italian panini ($13.99) which he said he was not that crazy about, but he did enjoy the atmosphere and the Guiness. It is a chill place to have a nice conversation without having to compete with loud music or chatter. We are planning to revisit the next time I am here, this was a very enjoyable evening.

The place was relaxing and cozy and welcoming. I do have to say I hated the slots, but that seems to be the thing in North Riverside now. They're turning into a mini Vegas. I will return and sit outside. I need to try the coffee next !

What a great meal! This was the first time that our family…read moreenjoyed Georgian food, and we really loved it. We found this restaurant through the yelp reviews, and, as usual, the yelp wisdom of crowds was correct. The meal was absolutely delicious. Sorry, I can't remember the Georgian names of the dishes but the eggplant rolls filled with walnut paste, the bread with melted cheese and egg yolk and the lamb and potato stew were all great choices. The food tasted home-made, as if a grandmother had cooked for us with love in every bite. Lots of garlic - we love that. Washed down with a glass or dry red Georgian wine, a perfect pairing. We were fully satisfied with our main dishes so were not able to try dessert. Next time. The atmosphere was nice - tablecloths on the table, friendly service, not noisy. We will definitely come back next time we are in the Evanston area.

3.5 stars because all the meat was dry…read more Very cute interior. Lots of space and they have a stage for entertainment. Service was so kind. They dont rush you at all. Large $16 or Small $9 Nigvziani Badrijani (Stuffed eggplant with walnut garlic paste) - liked this a lot! $24 Chkmeruli (Traditional Georgian - style oven backed chicken soaked in garlic creamy sauce served in a clay pan) - sauce was thinner than expected. Tasted really yummy! Yes garlicky but not overpowering. I love garlic so I wouldn't have been unhappy if it was more garlic forward. Chicken didn't soak the flavor as much as I expected so it needed sauce to get the flavor. Chicken a little dry. $25 Khinkali (Traditional Georgian dumplings with a twisted top, generously filled with your choice of spiced meat, cheese, or mushrooms, 5 Pieces) - loved these! My favorite dish. Expensive for 5 though, even though they are big. Meat was tender and flavorful. $25 Chakhokhbili (Traditional Georgian family style chicken dish with red peppers onions & herbs) - chicken was a little dry again. Flavors were mild, I was hoping for bold flavors. It was good just not what I expected. Perfect if you're looking for something more mild in flavor without any spice. $25 chicken Ojakhuri (Juicy marinated kabob pieces baked with potatoes and onions, seasoned with traditional Georgian spices and served sizzling in a rustic clay pan) - chicken a little dry again. Potato's were the winner here, garlicky and flavorful! Barely any onions. Price - expensive Portion - good portion, also keeping in mind price is high so it's good the portion is reasonable Service - great! Didn't check on us much though
