By chance, we lucked out and visited while the artist himself was onsite. The staff were so friendly, greeting us as soon as we stepped inside and advised that the exhibit was set up on the first floor in a loop. The building is a former home and is quite lovely on its own, and then the council has done a great job organizing their exhibits to complement the building and make it easy to move around. We enjoyed looking at the wide variety of train photos from all around the country, and getting to chat with the artist was nice - he was great with kids too and had a little game for them to find where the photo on his business card was in the gallery. Outside, the grounds are beautiful too and the backyard goes down to the river. There's a nice parking lot available outside and admission is free. We will have to watch for future exhibits!

Had an awesome evening at the Immersive Monet & The Impressionists exhibit. Featuring work of…read moreMonet, and Renoir, Degas, and some others. We went to the 7:30pm show and spent about an hour there. There was plenty of parking and a real easy guided checkin and entrance. The exhibit itself loops so it is nice that you can walk in at anytime and not miss anything. This was different than the immersive Van Gough exhibit as the Monet had some bold and more integrated transitions. We definitely felt a bit more immersed. This was the Second Immersive exhibit we have been too and it made for such a nice evening. We went for the Basic Admission and it was perfect. You can upgrade for $10 more for a rental cushion and more but we didn't think it was necessary. I would recommend checking it out, especially if you are a fan of Monet, Impressionist paintings, or these type of exhibits. It is really well done but would highlight it is not a virtual reality metaverse type of exhibit but it did not disappoint.

It was super easy to select and book a class online on their site and the owner Shannon was easy to work with. We had to change our class a few times and ended up painting at home via virtual class. Picked up our canvases and painting kits that included everything you need to create your masterpiece. We were emailed links to stream the class and the online instructor was easy to follow and fun. Definitely try a class if you want something fun to do!

I've done these type of painting classes at other studios, but Pinot's Palette in Powell was by far…read moremy favorite! My mom and I took a class recently and had the best time! The studio itself is welcoming and nicely sized. I was expecting just a few beers/wines to choose from at the bar, but was pleasantly surprised to find it was well-stocked. Everyone wore masks and participants were adequately social distanced, so we felt safe and comfortable during our class, even during the pandemic. The painting instruction was just enough to give us a great end product, but not so much that we weren't able to add our own touches and creativity to the experience. The music selection played during our class was fantastic, and touched on all genres/eras. Overall, it was a great time!

One of the volunteers explained that they MIGHT move back to the McConnell Arts Center, next to the high school, in the future. No firm decision at this time. This year's festival is June 20 & 21.

They've utilized the fence as a way to display a number of paintings and other work. A paved walkway lets you walk around and enjoy a variety of sculptures, a little neighborhood of small fairy-type houses, repurposed/upcycled pieces, and more. It was very neat to see the wide variety of art represented here. There are benches and seating set throughout, and it looks like a big project is happening near one of the main entrances. I am quite curious to see how this park evolves and what new pieces get added!

It is a city park in a fenced area with grassy areas and basketball hoops. But, even better, there is art everywhere. There are paintings hung around the fencing, a tiny village of houses with little doors to peek inside, art pieces of many mediums, and even cozy coops covered in jewels for the preschoolers to enjoy while visiting. However the local self-appointed guard is really creepy! When you enter, a man walking his black and white dog suddenly appears. It is a huge quiet park, but when you turn around, there's this guy standing one foot behind you apparently needing to pass by you. I guess he hasn't heard about social distancing.

You start with raw, unfinished wood and destress, sand, stain, put your sign together and create the art. When you walk out you will have a sign that is ready to hang (hanging wire attached), which is great! The staff was feisty but generally helpful. They have wine and beer for purchase which makes for a great night out! I love my sign and plan on coming back.

When I picked a Christmas countdown to do it was definitely one of the harder picks but the instructors helped me so much! They helped me pick out where to place certain things and they let me pick out my own painting colors and stains which the freedom with that was awesome! It was such a fun experience and I definitely want to come back and do more wood pieces ! Maybe next time I'll be brave enough to white wash... well, maybe the time after the next ;) check it out!!!
