Framing, matting, display boxes, shadow boxes, he can do it! he's actually done 2 separate pieces for me. I had a print that i wanted to get framed for awhile now, and so glad I brought it to Dave! I could have just found a big frame and hung it up, but it wouldn't look near as nice. He uses high quality stuff, nice thick and even UV resistant glass if you want, and actual wood frames, not the cheap plastic stuff you get at craft stores or Wal-Mart. And he uses all sorts of matting and colors. This is something I will easily be able to hand down in my family! And he's great at suggesting colors, and listening to what look you're going for. He also framed up my wedding invitation after my wedding! He matched the wedding colors in his framing and made it a beautiful keepsake from that day. Way better than just putting it in a scrapbook or tacking it up somewhere. And it matches perfectly with everything else in my room! If you're looking to display something, anything, this is the place for you. You will pay a little bit more, but you'll have something custom that will last. And he'll do canvas photos for you, too. We have a couple of train fans in our family, so when we heard the latest exhibit at Dublin Arts…read morewas "Train Interpretations" by Frederick Ripley, we decided to stop by. By chance, we lucked out and visited while the artist himself was onsite. The staff were so friendly, greeting us as soon as we stepped inside and advised that the exhibit was set up on the first floor in a loop. The building is a former home and is quite lovely on its own, and then the council has done a great job organizing their exhibits to complement the building and make it easy to move around. We enjoyed looking at the wide variety of train photos from all around the country, and getting to chat with the artist was nice - he was great with kids too and had a little game for them to find where the photo on his business card was in the gallery. Outside, the grounds are beautiful too and the backyard goes down to the river. There's a nice parking lot available outside and admission is free. We will have to watch for future exhibits!

Took K here for the Barbie exhibit. She loved it, and wanted half the Barbies (and knew some of…read morethe history already.) Housed in a nice historic building, it's just three small rooms. But they are nicely arranged and chock-full of interesting dolls, some almost 200 years old. There's a printed guide, and a treasure hunt sheet. The staff are super friendly and talked to Baby K a lot, about the displays and about her dolls. There are furnished rooms with interesting artifacts as well as antiques for sale, but we barely saw those. Definitely worth a visit if you are anywhere nearby, and a detour if you are at all into dolls like some K.

During the family trip to Columbus and while my brother was taking the exam for his insurance…read moreagent's license, my mom and me decided to explore. I told her there was this great antique store I wanted to try and brought her over to The Doll Museum at the Old Rectory as a surprise. My mom loves dolls. Still owns several of them. She used to have a ton of them. I never really liked them, they used to creep me out as a kid as I sometimes felt they were watching me. Still she absolutely loves them and I thought it would be a fun surprise for her to visit a Doll Museum. Anyway she realized the surprise as soon as she saw the sign. I laughed when she said... you lied! You said this was an antique store... well its both i responded! We walked in and were greeted by two sweet ladies who are part of Worthington Historical Society. They told us a bit about the society as well as the history of the building we were in, which was built back in 1845 as the Rectory of St.Johns Episcopal Church. It now holds the Doll Museum which has 19th and 20th Century dolls from all over the world and also has an antique/consignment store attached. They took us on a tour of the place and talked about the dolls they had on display. My mom was so happy throughout the tour, and made the entire trip to Columbus worth it. Once we were finished we shopped in the antique store where i found an antique porcelain figurine from Denmark, a few items i thought would make my living room look nicer, and some jewelry I bought for my bestie. I got her this vintage turquoise bracelet! Also the proceeds help fund the historical society, so it was for a good cause! My whole experience here was wonderful. Although I will never love dolls... i love antique stores. By the end, we left with a smile on our faces ready to continue enjoying our family trip. If you are into dolls or antiques, definitely come check this place out!

Took a family member here for their birthday. We all picked out a piece of pottery and took them to…read morethe counter and paid. It was a Saturday, so there was a little wait for a table. Since it was our first time, they explained everything to us. We ended up being there for over 5 hours, while the birthday girl painted her piece in great detail. What was really nice is that the staff left us alone, so there was no pressure to hurry up and leave. Everyone agreed it was fun, and we'd all do it again. It only took a few days for our pottery to be ready to pick up. Overall a great experience.

I wanted to spend time with my God daughter over the Christmas break and decided to take her to do…read morepottery. It was a super cool first time for both of us. Items were reasonably priced. Unlimited paint and the staff helped both of us with templates for our designs. It wasn't too crowded and we went on an early Friday Evening. It was peaceful and I feel like this is something that I can do often! I highly recommend this for kids of all ages. I love that she was able to navigate a lot of the stuff independently because it gave her extra creative freedom not having to ask for help to get paint and figure out things that she wanted to add to her pieces. Here's my piece that she helped me with. It was $10. Unlimited paint and supplies to help get it it finished. They have a 4 day turn around period, but if you call the night before the pickup date. It may be ready earlier however 4 days is the turnaround period.
