I was searching for a matcha shop that made their drinks with fruit in the North Houston area and was glad to have discovered this option. The blueberry puree is sweet and different from the usual mango and strawberry purées that are offered with matcha lattes. The matcha (light or strong) is squeezed from a premade bottle over the milk (oak or whole), puree-syrup, and ice. Overall, it was pretty sweet but good. I asked for the pull tab lid not to be added as I wanted to reuse the cup (thin but pretty sturdy plastic) later. The lip of the slim and tall plastic cup is relatively smooth. The staff member was so sweet helping me pick out my macarons and recommended their number 1 seller fig and goat cheese. I was a little hesitant because I hadn't tried that before, and she offered a sample of their gelato. I could have eaten myself sick. GLADLY, it tastes amazing! They are pretty low on my dessert power rankings because they usually just taste like small, stale cookies. But these were softer than most. And they had the kind of flavor that resulted in an immediate "mmmmmm" upon first bite. And I believe every flavor of macaron was also available in ice cream form. I sampled ferrero and was sold, despite definitely assuming I'd be trying 2-3 other flavors before committing to something. Nestled in Hughs Landing, this clean and stately franchise should not be missed! Macaron has more than a great selection of macaroons brought in from Houston, but they also have a fine selection of gelatos that you're welcome to taste and try. I decided to have the Lavender White gelato with fig and goat cheese macaroon. They were delectable!!! The lavender was fragrant and textured like you got it fresh from the farm. The macaroon was light and crispy (respect), and the flavors were perfectly blended. It came to about $8. Also, they have a menu and printing services to customize your treats! They need at least a week's notice to have them ready for you. You can go on their website and get more information. Their lounging area has comfortable seating and much needed table space! We were staying nearby. So one afternoon while hubby stayed with our little boy during nap time, I went for a walk and found this place! I somehow managed to not buy anything on the first visit (probably due to just having had a big lunch and knowing a big dinner was to come). But I returned the very next day. I got a box of six to share with hubby and my boy - Cookies & Cream, Chocolate Chai, Birthday Cake, Churro, Fruity Pebbles and Fig & Goat Cheese. The Cookies and Cream, Chai and Churro were mostly sweet. They didn't really have their own distinct flavor. But the other three were great! The Fig & Goat Cheese was my absolute favorite. But the Birthday Cake was pretty great, too! It was filled with a super sweet buttercream icing that absolutely hit the spot! This place has been my favorite for awhile I'm so grateful that we live minutes from the Hughes Landing location and no longer have to drive over 40 minutes to get our fix. I love everything goat cheese and drove to this particular place to try the fig and goat cheese macaron and it was great. I also really enjoyed their iced vanilla rose tea and if I stop by again I am looking forward to trying their cocoa chai which was recommended by the friendly gentleman behind the counter. The only flavors that I really didn't enjoy were the lavender and white chocolate and the rose. Both of these were a bit overpowering and not worth buying again. Yes, Macaron's here are pricey but it's like the Tiffany of cookies. You get what you pay for. $2.25 for each Macaron. We selected a dozen for $25 and they were packaged in a nice gift box. Individual boxes are available for one or two cookies. The surprise was a macaron "pop". Basically a push-up gelato treat with a macaron at the end for about $6. They had some adorable Minnie Mouse ear macarons! Kusmi Tea Collection available to drink hot or cold but we just bought cookies to go. Lots of great traditional flavors like salted caramel, rose, lemon, blueberry, pistachio, and birthday cake. You'll find a favorite. I took home half a dozen as a nice New Year's Eve splurge. On a recent Sunday we decided to treat our kiddos to the Popsicles they had advertised on the sandwich board outside the shop. When we went inside there was a teenager working behind the counter.
