Sigh, I wish this would have been a better experience. I ordered the confetti cupcake and the s'more cupcake. The confetti cupcake was cute and had plenty of sprinkles throughout. The s'more cupcake was where disappointment started. Online it states it has a graham cracker crust, but it didn't. The only graham cracker was a small piece on top. To say i am pissed would be an understatement. I have used this place for YEARS for all of my kids birthdays and my family's birthday cakes and the prices have increased every year and I usually don't have a problem because they usually come out really cute. BUT today I picked up my daughter's birthday cake and it looks horrible!!! The picture on it is extremely blurry and they didn't do anything to the sides of the cake!!! I wasn't upset as it was an easy fix so asked to speak to management to see if we could find a reasonable solution . Four thumbs WAY UP!!! Moist melt in your mouth cake nothing like the artificial taste you receive from the grocery store kinds. They were amazingly fresh and had delicious light fluffy icing and oh how I adore shredded coconut on everything. YUM! The staff is super friendly and I enjoyed talking about the various shows and asked if they would ever do one. Much to my surprise they weren't at all interested because getting dolled up every day to do hard work is not FUN! HA! They come in perfect little boxed that have holders in the center, so the cupcakes don't tip. Great touch because I was very worried about smashing them on the way home in the car. We ordered 2 dozen sugar cookies and 2 dozen mini salted caramel cupcakes for our 10 year anniversary party. Everything was awesome tasting and pretty! See pictures attached. The mini cupcakes are just the right amount of sugar - because wow this place knows how to pack on the icing! A full cupcake I can only eat 1/2 at a time. My personal favorite is their sugar cookies - they are huge and have a nice icing on top, I like to have one with coffee. I am giving 4 stars due to price and tipping request. It cost us $120 for 4 dozen special treats - very high (to me) but worth it as a splurge for our big party. What really bothered me is when I went to pay there was a place for tipping on the receipt. I personally think if I am paying that high of a price for desserts then I really don't need to tip on top of it - and didn't. With all that being said, this is a cute little spot, interesting enough to check out for something different to try. First I would like to say that the implementation of the cake design was mostly done well. The turn around time was excellent. The people were very nice. And now the but... Which really is a bummer since I was excited about finding a local bakery that does custom cakes close by... But for the price that was paid, the cake did not taste good at all and was very very dry... It tasted like it was a week old. Also they forgot to put the lettering on the cake... My sister-in-law ordered 4 dozen cupcakes from Frost for my nephew's first birthday at, as has been said in previous yelps, thirty three dollars per dozen. This, all together, came out to around 150 dollars for the entire order. We get to the shop, and everything seems to be going great, they're putting the last of four dozen yummy looking cupcakes into their slots in the boxes and everything is going to be ready on time... But wait, something here is not right. On the order form, the thirteen carrot cake cupcakes ordered are crossed out, and a big blue arrow points to the bottom where it says "PUMPKIN!" Underlined. In big blue letters. Their explanation? "We don't make carrot cake on Saturdays." Well yes, we get that, that's why my sister-in-law arranged, with you the owner/manager, that thirteen of your delicious carrot cake cupcakes be held over from Friday so that we could have them for my nephew's party on Saturday. Well, that didn't happen, and neither did an apology. Did anyone call to explain the problem? No. Did they realize the mistake and whip up a batch of carrot cake cupcakes on a Saturday because it was their mishap? No. They decided, without consulting the person paying 150 dollars for 48 of their cupcakes (completely redonkulous.), that they were just going to give us pumpkin and not carrot cake. I haven't even tasted the cupcakes yet, and I don't need to. I don't care if they're the most delicious cupcakes in the world, I won't be going back. If I'm going to pay steep prices for bakery goods, I better get what I want, and if I for some reason can't get what I want for such a price, I better get a discount and an apology in the very least, especially considering that the change from Carrot to Pumpkin was not discussed with my sister-in-law before being followed-through. Ever since I received a cupcake from Frost Bake Shoppe in The Woodlands, I have been wanting to investigate the venue in detail. As I walked in, I could feel a cavity or two forming on my bottom-left bicuspids. It smells like a bake shop(pe), people. The walls are splashed with baby blue to the point of cool insanity. Don't look directly at them! The glass case is full of sweets with sugary adornments, and the shelves with other various non-edible wares. I ordered a dozen of various types of cupcakes for Father's Day for a rather steep $33 dollars. Red Velvet, Chocolate Chip (chips on icing and not inside cake part), Turtle, and Chocolate were the flavors that I picked out. These should come with a warning on their little innocently crinkled wrappers that warns against the sugar coma that follows just one! Diabetics STAY AWAY! All that I have managed to ingest have been truly delicious. I do not know how many calories they are, but its better that way, I think.
