TLDR: Worth a visit if you're in the area?…read more Wow! Hidden gem? Forgotten favorite? I don't know, but after tasting the food, we have to get the word out about this spot. Arriving around lunchtime on a weekday, I had the place to myself which allowed me a unique opportunity to take the place in. That being said, this spot is not overly French cafe themed, but instead a classic suburban strip mall spot with nods to the French peppered throughout the menu and decor. The booth area is well-designed, the spot was clean and the table touched by light so after a great experience chatting with the cashier I was crossing my fingers, hoping the food matched the vibe. I had a crepe Mexicana (because who has ever heard of that?!), a croque monsieur with tomato soup, and a dessert crepe because y'all know I always save room for dessert. It took a minute to be prepared, but I'm willing to wait for a fresh made meal. Everything, was delicious. Crepe texture was on point, and each crepe was stuffed to the Gods. Positive experience all around. My tip: Order the tomato soup and finish your meal with the following combo- a dessert Crepe Almonds with strawberries. Trust me on that one!

The Parisian theme was noticeable..as was the reggaeton music they were curiously playing. Worth coming back to when in the area as the menu had a few other items I would definitely try.

There are plenty tables and chairs for large groups. And sofas ( not in good condition at all... but sofas .. yes)... ya... big ones length wise. Pretty noisy actually. Good noise. Cheerful sharing while chilling over drinks and pastries - that kind of noise. Have been craving for fries lately and when I saw Common Bond, was very excited but they didn't carry the thick truffle fries which I was so fond of in the other Common Bond. Still, it was good fries and the staff was very friendly.... many high schoolers doing a summer job so they are super nice. They have a rewards program running - once registered, $spent is $earned in points which can be redeemed later. Staff was friendly and seemed like some of them were high schoolers or sort of, doing summer jobs so they were extra courteous and cautious - it was very much appreciated The fresh pastries were inviting and they had a big menu of other eats too. For me Common Bond and their specialty small dessert cakes went hand in hand. And this bakery did keep up that reputation- they had some sumptuous looking mini cakes. Definitely worth a visit.

There were so many flavors to choose from, but I tend to gravitate towards non-chocolate flavors so I was able to "eliminate" half of the options with ease. The Pink Vanilla grabbed my eyes immediately, as it was generously frosted and coated with bright pink sprinkles. Perfect! My cupcake held up for the entirety of the short ride home. Even though the cupcake seemed "large" (measured around 150 grams, about 480 calories) it was the perfect size for me---the cake portion was super soft, and there was plenty of frosting to balance out the cake. Now that I'm back in the States after spending a significant time abroad, I am looking forward to have cupcakes like the ones at Smallcakes on a more frequent basis!

She took a tiny bite and then asked to swap it for something else. The staff person snickered and was rude. She said no exchanges or returns because it's food. Did not ask what the issue was or why we were unhappy. We just threw the cupcake out. At a minimum she could have asked what the issue was or apologized that we were unhappy. While we were there the staff person was also playing her music loudly on her phone.

I feel they put thought into the blends you could pick from. though it was not clear from the website that afternoon tea only includes hot tea and if you wanted the iced tea it would cost extra. it would be nice for that to be mentioned somewhere because i feel they spent a lot of time outlining all the other details on the website. the service that day was slow, i think there may have been just one server for everyone inside the shop and it was pretty busy. so i think that influenced that side of it. but things happen. overall my experience was great and would love to come back.

This time we didn't have a reservation but we were told we'd be able to dine in 20mins so we walked the shops a bit more. When it was time we got a call to come back and was seated and hosted by , she was sweet. Ordered off the main menu and got a peach tea, which was delicious by itself but I like my teas a little sweet so we got some sugar and honey as sweeteners. We also got the fairy water for the baby girl. (She loves it) The grilled cheese and soup is so tasty and comes out hot which is also good for a soup. The portions (Caprese sandwich and mushroom sandwich) were so filling but we ate it all, even the accompanying salads. We chatted and laughed and had a great afternoon tea in this quaint little restaurant.
