Pretty good coffee. Really clean cafe. I've stopped here for coffee a couple times and it's pretty consistent. Really lovely staff.

I couldn't decide between a Miss Piggy cupcake, or the one with the strawberry cheescake icing (the latter ended up winning the coin toss), so I took it, along with my beautifully creamy cappacino, to devour on the small patio outside. And the cake? Well this is where I differ to most other people so far. I thought it was Ok...but I'm going to go off piste here and say that it was most definitely not the best I've eaten. (I've had better in...gasp...Shingle Inn). I was definitely more taken with the cuteness of the cafe than the cake itself. It should have been fluffier, the icing should have been tastier... Maybe I should have gone with the Miss Piggy after all???

The pink and white theme only adds to the cute factor, along with making it quite impossible for straight men to frequent this place. Inside is just as adorable, with a cosy little booth to one side and a display cabinet full of various cupcake flavours. There are many flavours to choose from; more traditional ones like chocolate and some fancier varieties such as marble, each of which has a chocolate seashell perched on the carefully iced top. I absolutely love seashells but when it comes to cupcakes I believe it's the original and the best, so I chose a vanilla flavoured one. I have to say I was disappointed. The base was delicious and exactly what I would expect of a cupcake, even if it was a little heavy, but the icing was not. The main reason I love cupcakes is because of the amazingly creamy, buttery icing. The icing here is harder and can absolutely not be described as creamy. It's still a nice place and the cupcakes are presented so well that I'm sure I will be enticed into trying them again.

I had the peanut butter chocolate slice and it was huge, not to mention super tasty. I had to share it with a friend though cos it was too massive for me to finish in one seating. The cupcakes looked amazing and we saw the waffles with ice-cream being prepared and for $10, it was an enormous serving. I had to try the red velvet latte which I had with almond milk and it was smooth, delicate and absolutely to die for. I have a feeling that this is going to be a weekly treat for me. Service was super friendly and helpful. They didn't have a high chair so they grabbed one from Charlie's. They share the same owner after all. If you're in the area, this is a must-try. No regrets, I promise!

It annoyed me because I loved the brownies but hated feeling like I was being ripped off. The last time I went in (I was going weekly, as a treat) I got a small cut brownie with little icing AND it was burnt! I was already half way home so i didn't do anything about it. I've just decided I'll not be going as often :( which makes me sad :'( they do make amazing vanilla slices too (although size may change sometimes)! And their pies and sausage rolls are always a hit!

I hadn't seen it before so I had to go in. The smells of freshly baked good flooded out of the doorway as I approached and when I entered I was stoked by what I saw. A cornucopia of cupcakes, breads, cakes and pies all met me. The hardest thing for me was to choose something. In the end I got half a dozen cupcakes of various flavours and looks and when I got hot to my wife we devoured them like greedy children. What a discovery. No more will I have go to the unnamed chain that has the prime spot on the main road. I have found a place that makes homemade savoury delights with some love and care. I've frequented Everton Park Plaza all my life and I can always remember staring at the cupcakes at Sweetie Pies, begging my mother to get me one because they were so yummy. She sometimes gave in and when she did, I was in heaven. It has to compete with Brumby's around the corner but I think Sweetie Pies is a real local treasure in Everton Park. There are always yummy cupcakes and cakes wrapped up and ready to go for any passer-by and as a local business, I am more than willing to support them and commend them for their lovely food and ridiculously cheap prices. If you're in the area swing by and find out what I'm talking about.

Walking along the streets of south bank with a baby in my arms, 'My Sweetopia' caught my eye. Each table was set with a cutsie bunch of flowers in a jar, at funny table tops with fun quotes on top. Before I know it I'm hovering at the door with baby running around. I read the menu, i can't help but stay! Poached Pear Porridge and "the biggest chai you've got please" is what I order. I was not wrong about the sizing situation. I'm almost certain I had about 1/2 a litre of almond milk in my bowl. I am still stunned and excited that I drank something from a pink bowl. Before we even made it outside they had made and brought out a baby chino complete with a smiley face on top. Politely the waiter allowed me to take a seat and presented an eager baby with chocolately milk. He was so happy to see a little drink just for him, so i was very happy. Next came my porridge and chai! Yum. It tasted like porridge (bonus) , the chai was super sweet, the view was lovely, the sun was shining and all I want to do is go back. I loved it. I'm 100% a fan and I have definitely followed their instagram (check it out here: http://instagram.com/mysweetopia ) I'm impressed, going back, and left with only good thoughts. Peace.

This sweet 'lil store is located handily on grey street and makes for a great place for coffee and cupcakes. The imagination that has gone into some of their cakes is pretty impressive (Think Turkish delight, Red velvet and lemon meringue.) And although I find it can be a bit hit and miss with some of the recipes (e.g. the expresso cake that doesn't taste like expresso) I really can't go past their rich Chocolate and Hazelnut (Superb flavours!) or the many macaroons on offer. With outdoor and indoor seating available, this place is perfect for a late-night sugar hit or to catch up with friends.
