Really, I was mostly after thinning, since the olives were just destroying the place. Received a quote of $1,400 from a different business. Called Donegan for estimate. Owner came out and gave an incredible estimate, but since it was during the holidays, the work couldn't be done until early January. Well, they came out yesterday, and got through one tree, and as they were working, I was seriously concerned that they might be butchering them, as they were cutting a ton off. Woke up this morning, and took a good look in the daylight, and I absolutely LOVE the result. Definitely thinned, and trimmed immensely, but they don't look butchered. They look groomed, and we can see the house! They're still very tall, and have a nice border shape. They returned today and worked their butts off in the downpour to do the other tree. They did such a great job with the first thing, that having them come back out for something else just made sense. Daniel stopped by our house to give us a quote to trim our grapefruit tree and remove a tree stump. After speaking with a few companies, we felt like Elene's was the best option. He took the time to talk about the project, how to properly care for and trim citrus trees, and he was able to schedule the project for the next day. They came by and completed everything quickly and did an amazing job. After the project was completed we were able to have them back out in a few days to plant shrubs and transplant a hibiscus tree! Again, quick, efficient and job well done. Next we plan to work with them to trim our giant pine, and help us create a planter wall- two things that've been on our "list" for a long time. Over all working with this company was a great experience. I highly recommend them! Also- pricing was very reasonable, and aligned with other quotes we received.

Lit Firewood has been highly reliable and responsible in the deliveries it has made to our cabin on…read moreNorth Shore of Big Bear Lake. The cabin is difficult to find on GPS maps, but they have located it correctly and delivered firewood to exactly the spot we specified on the lot. The quality of their firewood is excellent. The deliver a mixture of oak, eucalyptus and some manzanita logs, which are highly prized for their high BTU content. You should note that since manzanita is VERY dense it can be difficult to ignite and keep going until you have a hot bed of coals. Then, it's great. For those not familiar with this wood, its about half again as dense as oak and the logs are mostly bright orange heartwood, some mixed with tan sapwood.
