We originally hired ER Yard Clean Up & Yard Maintenance to help us with tree trimming as we were denied Fire Insurance on our new cabin purchase in Lake Arrowhead in July. These guys were FANTASTIC!!! They were always available to respond to our questions via text. They handled getting the permit from the Lake Arrowhead Architectural Committee, showed up on time and trimmed back all our trees that were to close to our cabin. We then needed some firewood, so they brought what we needed and stacked it all for a very fair price. We then asked about some landscape stairs on the side of our cabin as there were none and it was very steep! We needed access to a large storage area under our car park and create an area for our Generator and A/C units. They had a very reasonable quote and installed everything we asked before and just after the big snow storm. They worked whenever they could and always cleaned up beautifully. We then had a dead tree on our property that they got approved to remove for us, chopped it down, cut it up and stacked it on the side of our cabin. An easy 5-Stars for ER Yard Cleanup! It was snowing in Lake Arrowhead this week, and it was easy to see from the security cameras that our cabin driveway was covered. I should mention that my days of shoveling snow are long past. I was looking for someone I could call to clear the drivway for our visit later in the week. I saw a Yelp! posting for Efrain and decided to give him a call. I sent him pictures of the snow covered driveway and we agreed on a price. He actually stopped by two days early and did a preliminary snow removal. He came by again just before our arrival and the driveway was completely snow free whan we arrived. What a treat! We also needed some firewood and Efrain set us up with small quantity of hardwood, delivered in just a few minutes. Efrain is a super nice person too! I plan to use ER again for our big spring yard cleaning, future snow removal, my wife's landscaping pojects, and anything else that comes up around the property. I have to say, being stung a few times before with down payments to trades has helped me here. Although I don't like to be negative especially when my wife and I both thought Roberto was a very nice person, unfortunately, that does not include honesty. He made up a professional bid and emailed it, then negotiated a bit when I pressed on one point being to expensive, but in the end we agreed. But he pressed to collect a 50% deposit on multiple jobs he quoted on. We accepted his bid but declined to give 50% down. He said that it was no problem and would start the coming week, but after that conversation, he failed to even respond to any of my many texts or voice mails. Strongly recommend you NOT use ER Yard clean up & maintenance. I've since found another group locally, and he did for less plus didn't ask for any $ up front. read more

I contacted this service based on its 4-star Yelp rating: maintaining a 4-star rating is difficult, and very few of the people and businesses here on the mountain seem motivated enough to earn it! But hiring Roberto was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. I met with Roberto Rodriquez last Thursday. We reviewed the job and agreed to both a price and to his doing the work tomorrow. Of the three prices I got, he was the only one willing to down a long-dead tree, and yet his price was quite reasonable. Yesterday, he took the initiative to ask to the work early (yesterday) as there is a possibility of rain tomorrow. This afternoon I got to the house and the cleanup job was wonderful! The trimming I had requested was done, the dead tree was gone, and both my yard and the small vacant lot below were very nicely clean. No corrections! Beyond yard cleanup, Roberto's business card includes a myriad of other services including sprinklers, fencing, retaining walls, tree trimming, furniture moving, firewood, hauling, planting, and erosion control. UPDATE (08/14/20): As an update to my original (05/18/19) review, this year I again hired Roberto for yard cleanup. Additionally, I got tagged for fire abatement due to several manzanita trees next to my house, so I hired him again to remove and dispose of those trees, pick up a couple of new trees from one of our local garden centers, and plant the new trees. I had been using someone else to handle my yard cleaning, snow removal, etc..for years. That companies prices kept going up and their quality down. I called ER Yard Clean Up to get a quote and Roberto called me right back. He looked at the project the following day and gave me a very fair quote to clean the yard of all debris (lot size is 10,000 Sq Ft). They arrived a few days later (this was during Thanksgiving) and his crew and he were early.
