If you're a fan of Mackenzie Coffee, stop by at one of its two cafes in New Zealand!
This cafe is along Cow Lane, near Beach Road. It's a small, but spacious cafe that might be more suitable to go, but there are counter seating along the side and window. The big, open window is a nice touch, and a nice place to sit and relax with a cup of warm coffee while watching the world go by.
The Flat White was good. Clean, solid, milky flavor. The Long Macchiato was good too. Strong and creamy.
Don't skip on the food as the Bacon Jalapeno Scone was very good! Soft and tender inside with a crispy and crumbly crust. The savory bacon and spicy jalapeno were subtle, and didn't overpower the scone. The Pesto, Mozzarella, Tomato, and Red Onion toastie was good. It was a light, simple sandwich with more so the sour note from the tomato with a touch of savory from the pesto and mozzarella.
Overall, a nice, cozy, quiet cafe with solid Mackenzie Coffee and a nice variety of cafe food that was delicious. The service was good. Barista was friendly and makes a good cup of coffee. A nice place to stop by while walking around Queenstown! read more
