The premises are very modern, elegant and clean…read more The personnel was friendly enough and tried to accommodate guests requests as well as they were able. It was not the most kindest place I visited, but it was good enough for a stop and also because the other place I wanted to go to was overcrowded. I got a ginger cake and Americano. The cake was a bit on the dry side and too sweet for me. Prices are on the higher side, but guess that's what you pay nowadays in Pitlochry. Oh yes, and only one toilet.

They have a good variety of dishes from sandwiches/paninis/pizza to light breakfast, stuffed potatoes & soup of the day with coffee & tea varieties. Also, an abundance of baked goods & pastries. I ordered breakfast for lunch & got the fried egg, sausage (which happened to be local) with toast. Enjoyed the fresh, local ingredients breakfast. We also ordered the stuffed potato with vegetarian chili. This was a substantial portion so not the one if you want a lighter lunch but flavors were on point. We also returned the next day with another tour. Had the fruit scone with ham & butter-amazing!. Ordered a cappuccino with breakfast & it was perfect! You order at the counter & your food is brought out to your table. The servers were friendly, quick & attentive.

Especially when our tour operator informed usthey had a "Whiskey and Raspberry" flavor. I mean, come on! And then when we got there, I ended up getting a doblé scoop because they also have a "Scottish Tablet" flavor. I'm not even sure what that is, but it sounded Scottish, so I'm in! McKenzie's is a small little shop, and they offer other items besides ice cream, but that was all I was there for, so that was all I got. And I was very pleased with my selections. Rich creamy ice cream that absolutely hit the spot after a wonderful day of exploring beautiful Scotland. I think just about everyone from our bus went to the shop for an ice cream tree, but the service was very fast and they were friendly as well. I don't even know how to pronounce the town's name (Pitlochry), but if you ever find yourself in that region area, you should definitely treat yourself to a delicious ice cream treat!
