mack's is a terrible shop. all they care about is money. they don't go deep enough for the ink to stay so you have to come back in for a touch up. one of the artists charges for line work and shading separately, absolutely ridiculous. they also get upset if you change your mind with an appointment. they talk bad to other customers about you. they are terrible towards customer, have no customer service whatsoever. i'd do negative stats but it won't let me read more

These guys are AMAZING. The shop was surgical-clean, highly organized, and absolutely welcoming. Gino, Mack, Tracy and especially Josue (who was my artist) were so warm, accommodating, knowledgeable, respectful and passionate. Their vibe made the entire experience so much fun and 100% positive! The journey started with Gino, who made sure to coordinate everything so that my artist, Josue, had exactly what he needed to conceptualize and draw up my idea. Gino was able to get me in the very next day, first thing in the morning. He was so sharp, customer-service oriented, and very concerned that I felt confident and comfortable coming to the shop. I immediately knew I made a good choice, just based on how Gino helped me and answered all my prelim questions. Josue was up next to help. I got to the shop and even though he was working on another customer, he was there to welcome me, invite me in, and discuss the vision behind my tattoo, go over the size, dimensions, pricing, color... he let me talk to the customer he was working on (who also was super-pleased with his work, and was a repeat customer for him) to get a sense of his touch and style. I returned the next day and sat with Josue for a major (8" x 3") forearm colored piece. He put on a great Blues playlist on the shop sound system (after I told him I loved B. B. King) and worked on my arm for the full 6.5 hours, until it was perfect. He repeatedly checked in with me on my pain-tolerance and comfort. He made sure, as he progressed, that I was happy with what I was seeing him do: the colors, textures, details, spacing, structuring. He also walked me through everything he was doing, answering my ga-jillion questions about everything: the ink, my skin, after-care, his journey as an artist, his inspirations. He was so warm and open and mindful, it totally came through in his work. A true talent and skillful artist! I also had the pleasure of meeting his brother (and shop owner), Mack. Mack, himself, was working on some clients while I was sitting with Josue. His work was gorgeous, and I could clearly see that artistry and raw talent run strong in that family, for sure. The whole experience was just fantastic. From start to finish I was catered-to, made to feel important, cared-for and appreciated. From talking (always respectfully) about philosophy, politics, the pandemic, art, music, literature, relationships and family, to sharing a meal (since I was there for the whole day), to them walking me through the entire aftercare and tattoo maintenance process, they were 100% invested in making my experience EPIC!!! read more

Currently making the 3 hour commute to Mack's after an hour flight from Phoenix, AZ just to make sure my work is done by Cody. Cody is the best! Jaw dropping detail, phenomenal work. Not to mention he works quickly and has an incredible steady hand. His line work is so clean and his shading makes his work come to life. I am fairly tattooed (on my way to Cody for pieces, 20-24 getting my sleeve 80% of the way done) and I will not ever again make the mistake of going to any other shop. Gino took our first call and made sure we could get taken care of being a walk-in appointment and he stood to his word and made sure we would be seen! Josue went above and beyond to make sure that my wife and I got taken care of and he's a phenomenal artist!!! We got matching tree tattoos to commemorate our road trip and he worked super hard and long to get them done Exactly how we wanted them done while adding his own artistic flare to make them fabulous! Mack is fantastic! I'm probably not the kind of person you'd expect to find in a tattoo shop (don't judge a book...) but Mack treated me so well and was an absolute sweetheart. He tattooed my favorite Shakespeare quote on the inside of my forearm. I wanted the font to match early 17th century script as closely as possible. I sent Mack some samples the day before my appointment. He spent an hour searching through fonts before I arrived at the shop and what he found was perfect! His shop is sparklingly clean and he is the ultimate professional. He will take the time to give you what you want. He explained that because my skin is very soft () he had to go slowly to make sure the writing was precise--and it absolutely is! Do not go here. My ears are now swollen because my piercer pierced my ears twice after she made a mistake and did not give me a choice to let the wound heal first and come back later to get it fixed. Now my ears are messed up and I've tried calling and I've been given constant attitude. Will never recommend this place. Bad attitudes, bad work ethic, bad service. read more

Was my 1st tattoo so pretty nervous. Told Mack what I had in mind and he sketched it out. My tattoo was only script, which he did beautifully, but he specializes in portrait work. Took him a little more than an hour for sketching and ink work and was very reasonable price! Very clean place and procedures. Good after-care instructions. Would definitely repeat! read more
