From the west, you will fly right over Auburn University before landing. There is no tower here, but the airport can get pretty busy with student pilots in the aviation program there. Also, I imagine that it gets pretty busy on game weekends in the Fall or if anything else of significance is going on at the university.

Let me just start off by saying the manager and owner went out of their way to make sure I felt welcomed and comfortable on my arrival after a very long drive! The house was very clean, bed was comfortable, plenty of pillows. Boutique shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the bathroom was a nice touch. The grounds are beautiful and I enjoyed resting during the evenings in the front porch rocking chairs. Breakfast was varied and fresh every morning (home made granola, eggs, bacon, sausage, scones, pancakes, cheese grits, muffins, yogurt and fresh fruit to name a few). There is always coffee, tea and hot chocolate along with water and sodas available in the garden room along with fresh cookies. Highly recommend if you are visiting the area! This was a nice mini vacation while my daughter attended a sports camp at Auburn University.

Coming from A big city with too many people with too much hustle and bustle, it's a nice slow down. But this beautiful bed and breakfast, which was a first for me, was a great experience. All of the nostalgic/historic furniture and motifs were a very unique view point of how society looked In years past. The owners Dani and Leif were super nice and accommodating. I hope more people will support locally owned and operated businesses like this for historical restoration buildings. FYI, there is a pinball/ video game bar that sells comic books in town and a speakeasy. Very, very lovely people and must go to place on your list. If I'm in the area I will be coming back again.

Luxury? Think Again--A Miserable Nightmare Beneath a Drunken Circus…read more If you cherish sleep, peace, or basic human dignity, steer clear of this disaster masquerading as a hotel. Our supposedly "luxury suite" was directly beneath a bar packed with loud, obnoxious drunks whose shouting, stomping, and relentless noise shattered any illusion of a relaxing weekend. My wife's birthday getaway was effectively ruined by the hotel's careless disregard for guest comfort. When we pleaded with management for help, their tone-deaf solution was an insultingly miserable basement dungeon--windowless, cramped, and reminiscent of a cheap horror film set. Their customer service was indifferent at best, bordering on hostile at worst. The blatant false advertising, nonexistent hospitality, and shameless refusal to address legitimate grievances left us stunned and disgusted. I wouldn't stay here again if it were the last hotel on Earth. Save your sanity--and your money--and stay literally anywhere else.

I didn't even see anyone going in or coming out that worked at the hotel, but they were always clean when I entered. I did notice there were only outlets on one side of the hallway and we needed to plug up devices to charge. Other than that, the space we were set-up was excellent. They have a bar in the middle of the room in the reception area and it is stunning. If you are hosting a gala or fundraiser in the area, this is the perfect place for it. They have ample space, the staff is professional, and the food is amazing.

But that shouldn't be and hasn't been a problem. There's an included six-passenger golf cart to ride down the hill and back up (and I guess to ride anywhere else, although there's really nowhere else to go within golf cart range). The house itself is more than a cabin. It is three levels of wood-walled beauty, inside and out. The main floor has a remote-controlled gas fireplace, a smallish TV and sound system, and several recliners. There is a dinette table with seating for maybe 8 and a kitchen with an island. The main bedroom is here, with no en suite bathroom...you have to leave the master bedroom to pee. But it is a large bedroom with east- and south facing windows. The lake is to the north. Outside, towards the lake, there's a protected wooden deck with a bench and a very large patio table and chairs. A screen door leads out to the gas grill and front porch. Heading up, there is a loft with two twin-sized beds hanging from chains. I never slept in these, incredibly. There's a desk area at the top of the stairs, overlooking the main level and a small balcony that looks south. Nothing too exciting here. There's a stairwell on the main level down to the lower level that begins right outside of the door to the main level bathroom and bedroom. I was never drunk enough to accidentally tumble down it, but beware this navigational hazard. And if you are taller than maybe 6'0" (I'm 6'4" and had to duck quite a bit), you need to proceed with caution, as the 90-degree turn to the left halfway down has a low clearance. The downstairs has a large common area, with a couch, big TV, gaming console, and a kitchenette with fridge. There's also a bathroom with a cool glass block shower. A bedroom with double bunk beds has a utility room with a washer and dryer...these come in handy if you'll be here for more than a couple of days. Head outside on the bottom level and you'll find a pleasant area with a fire pit (and supplied and seasoned wood), a wooden deck with a picnic table, which is covered by the wooden deck of the main floor. A concrete walk curves around and up to the parking area and main floor porch. The main floor porch has some comfy, rustic, wooden rocking chairs that are ideal for sitting in, drinking coffee, and appreciating a quiet morning. This is also how you enter the cabin when you get here. Overall, our two stays here were great. We'll be back, at some point. If you are looking to visit the area, check it out. The design of the hotel is something that is hard to compare to anything else. Full auburn theme, colors and details like stitching throughout the rooms. It appears like an extreme concept on the surface, yet, it's executed beautifully. This is not your run of the mill Westin or Hilton, it's a property with a lot of character and building something like this could not have been cheap. It feels bespoke and hits well above its price point. The rooftop bar is a venue on its own, providing incredible views of Auburn and a very reasonably priced wine selection. The food there is mediocre, but it's a great spot for drinks. Downstairs is a coffee shop, Bo Jackson's Beans, which maintains the design aesthetic and completes the lobby in a great way. The team is quick to respond and is very efficient to all guests needs. All around, this is a gorgeous boutique hotel that isn't just unique, but deeply rooted in Auburn culture.

One young woman at the front desk walks away when people come up. Not great & sets a tone for the hotel. Recommend staff training & mgmt be present as mostly young staff running the place. Great potential if more customer focus people.
