Macy's is great! This store carries more workwear attire and cocktail style clothing while the other GR store specializes in staples and casual knits. As a platinum member, I hope both stay open! I love them both, and the service is fine both places. Great value! read more

I don't care what anyone says - I Love Macy's! Love their app where you can price check from your phone. Now I don't have to ask a sale's person. Great technology investment! This location has a great women's suit and dress section. There are always racks of sales. read more

Missiized clothing ...they put on sale then you are stuck with it. They call it last call and it is online so by the time you find out it's missiized it's too late. They make money on products they don't stand behind all on sale but the consumer has no idea something is wrong its ridiculously small. Beware of sales!!! read more

This particular store is fine but I opened up and store credit card and tried to get a working number to get a mailing address to pay my bill early. I could not. I finally called the number on the back of the card, you know the one if you need something immediately. You cannot get a person! What you do get is connected to an emergency alert promo that no matter how you respond to their menu you get them! read more

Two stars wow I'm giving my favorite place to shop only two. Why well unfortunately the service I guess there is no service. One lady running around trying to help the ones that need service and a couple young girls that have absolutely no work ethic. There is no inventory. No dressing rooms. No cashiers no body .... When the mall just open this store call Hudson than change to Marshall Field now final call Macy's. This is a two story store where women's selection and cosmetic locate on the first floor, and men selection and household stuff locate on second floor. This store is carry all the same stuff as other Macy's across the country, and staff very friendly. read more

If anybody deserves the trip to Maui, it's Sue in shoes. I called from our cottage an hour north of Grandville looking for a pair of men's swimming trunks. I am very particular about all of the clothes I buy. She gave me brand, style, length, size, fabric and price info over the phone, all of which was accurate. When I got there, the lady in the men's department told me that Sue in shoes took the call, and brought me to her. Sue showed me where all of the men's swimwear was located, offered assistance if I so desired, and turned me loose. No push, no lost time. I found exactly what I was looking for, but I left my discount coupons at the house on the kitchen table. Sue and a Gentleman in shoes checked me out, and gave me the discount anyway. I don't believe people would shop on line as much if there were more sales people like Sue. Thank you Sue, Brian S. P.S. I've been to Maui twice, you're gonna love it! read more

Store is fine but I have never had worse customer service. We were trying on shoes and MICHAEL THE OLD MAN was very rude when we were asking about sale prices. He then proceeded to follow us through the section as if we were stealing even though we had no bags or anything, yell obnoxiously at my friend for Leaning against a display. short tempered rude zero customer service skills and I've worked in retail. I'd say there's terrible service, but since I can rarely find anyone working after I walk lap after lap around the entire first floor, I have to say there's almost no service. Lack of service, cheap fabrics and low quality manufacturing (even in designer brands) has resulted in me doing almost all my shopping online, but there are a couple of things I have to actually go to a store to buy. Stopped here recently to shop for lingerie. Had to walk all the way across the store and chase down someone - a young female wearing jeans and an outdoor, knit winter hat on the sales floor (seriously?!). I explained I couldn't find anyone in the lingerie dept or anywhere else on the entire first floor, and asked her to ring up my purchases. She didn't even answer me, just sort of went about ringing the things up, seeming very bored yet bothered. Once she rang up the sale, I thanked her and she didn't even look at me or respond. I think I may have heard a grunt, but then again, it could have been a cough. The time I stopped at Macy's before that stellar experience, I managed to find one person at a register and stopped to ask where to find something in the store. She said, "Just a sec" and proceeded to take out her cell phone and TEXT WITH SOMEONE while I stood there, waiting - she never even looked up. Hey Macy's... you want to know the real truth about why you're closing stores? It's not the economy, it's that you're carrying cheap crap clothing and are too cheap yourselves to hire people to work on the sales floor. read more

I returned a dress today; this was handled by a clerk in the lingere department. My daughter and I were offered no greeting. The clerk stood silently and stared at us until I explained the reason for the visit. She then roughly pulled the Macy's bag from the dress, frowning and grimacing as she tangled it about the hanger. The clerk did not ask the reason for the return, she did not offer options for a refund. She completed the transaction without smiling or concluding the "conversation". There was no "thank you", "good bye", or "have a nice day". We were astounded by her rudeness. We then went to the shoe department where I attempted to purchase a pair of heels, but left when I could not get the attention of a clerk. I will try the Macy's in Battle Creek. read more

On May 1st I visited the Rivertown Macy's in Grandville Michigan looking for a Michael Kors dress I knew that my wife wanted. I was helped by Dawn A. in the dress department. She was polite, professional and engaging while helping me search for this specific dress I needed to purchase. The store did not have the dress in stock. Dawn was more than helpful searching other stores in Michigan on the computer and then calling the store to verify that they had the dress. She spent over fifteen minutes working on this until she finally found the dress in California. She then called the store, verified that they had it in the correct size and had them put it on hold for me. I was able to purchase the dress from there. It arrived within a few days and I was able to give it to my very happy wife. I really appreciate the extra level of service that Dawn A. gave me during this shopping trip. Dawn did a great job, she is outstanding and service like this is a reason that I will continue to shop at Macy's. Thank you Dawn for the great job you did during my visit! read more
