Average mall to go to. Needs a lot of updates. But all in all they got what you need. From a shoe to clothes and jewelry. The food court is decent. Also they have a nice size movie theater. Pretty much have every store here to satisfy your needs.I would go back but also check out other options in the area. read more

Came here a lot with friends. Really large mall. Lots of stores. On the expensive side if you are looking for non food items. My favorite store as a kid was Hollister or Abercrombie and Fitch. My favorite restaurant was Auntie Annie's and A&W. read more

I really do like this mall for the most part. I feel like there is a really good distribution of adult stores and kid stores. The Old Navy is huge and this was my first Old Navy experience. The employees were great for the most part, there was one that could use a little courtesy and critical thinking skills. As a nurse, I understand the importance of having handicap accessible dressing rooms and I do appreciate that Old Navy has that. However, as a mother in today's world I am also hyper aware of safety! No way am I interested in allowing my 7 year old little girl go into a dressing room alone in Grand Rapids!! To expect 2 people who are both trying on clothes to squeeze into a small dressing room is a little ridiculous and not very accommodating!! Furthermore, I'm not sure if the mall's central air system was on the fritz or not but it was HOT and HUMID! I'm sweating like crazy and squeezing into a tiny dressing room so an empty handicap stall can stay EMPTY for the 5 minutes we were in there. The rest of the employees made up for this one, they were attentive, polite, and helpful. I wrote a tip about JJ's Fro Yo, truthfully I'll be hitting up the Surf City smoothie shop from here on! The Chinese food place was awesome for mall food and the pizza was pretty good too. Regis was fantastic and my little girl was over the moon for her new do!! Lastly, the theatre was cleanish and I'm anxious for the recliners to come in! My daughter had a blast in the play place and I love that there are plenty of hand sanitizer stations around it. Overall, it's a clean mall with a lot to offer the whole family! read more

This is a really nice mall. Lots of stores, lots of options in the food court, and there is also a movie theatre in there. Kind of reminded me of the River Center Mall in San Antonio but more nice. Came to watch a movie with my sister in law, her hubby, and my love and really enjoyed it. The theater was really nice, the people were friendly, and it was very clean. We watched AmeriGeddon, I liked it. The popcorn was also really good! I would really like to bring the kids next time because I think they would really enjoy it. There is a Merry-Go-Round right in the middle of the mall that I thought was pretty neat so they might like that and they really love watches movies. We will come back for sure! read more

I think that Rivertown has a good balance of stores. It's not tiny and empty like Rogers Plaza, and not as expansive as Woodland because it has two floors. It has a fantastic food court and a fun carousel for the kids. The Celebration Cinema in the mall is pretty nice and the stores seem to be well managed. On the other hand, it's a very boring mall. No fountains or any other kind of embellishments to be found except for a huge mural near the food court. The stores are tiny for the most part. It can be very difficult to navigate around other customers on a busy day. You get the clear sense of claustrophobia. It's not a bad mall, its just a cookie-cutter mall with no character or personality. read more

Nice mall, a lot of places to park- although if you want covered parking, good luck... those are few and far between... but the mall is very well maintained, and the color scheme is nice and there are many nice stores in here. It does get very crowded on the weekends, and it's hard to find a place to park, but once you are in, it's all good. There are all price points in this mall, so it appeals to everyone in some way. The restrooms are good and the food court has a large variety of food to choose from, as well as an awesome merry go round! read more

Rivertown is similar to other malls. It has everything you need from a mall including shops, a food court, and some entertainment. This mall is two stories with stairs, an elevator, and escalators. There is a children's play place which is a tree house themed in the middle. They have little kiosks around and public restrooms. There are large department stores and some locally owned ones. There is also a carousel for kids, some rides, and a movie theater. Gr eww at place to walk km indoors and to shop. Parking is all around the building. read more

This mall is dying and will be closed in a year. Sears is closing, Yonkers has been closed for years. Half the stores are vacant reminiscent of Eastbrook years ago. A quarter of the ones left are no brand weird stores. Macy's needs major updating at the least. Sad state of affairs all around. read more

I like, I like. I went last Thursday to see "IT" and it was a packed theatre being it was the first screening of the movie at the Rivertown celebration. Though the theatre was packed, there was enough space to move throughout the isles without feeling like you're being trampled and there's a reasonable amount of space between you and the person sitting next to you. The chairs are quite comfortable and there is plenty of space beneath you to place your belongings down below. :) Overall the theatre is pretty clean and I'd most certainly see a show here again. read more

This mall is locate in middle of Grand Rapids and Holland so it convenient for shopper to go, and it anchor by Macy's, JC Penney, Dick's Sports, Kohn's, Younker and Sears. This is a 10 years old mall so you can call it a newest mall in West Michigan, and it two story so it plenty of store for shopping craze. If you tire of shopping you could relax at the food court to get refreshment or a bite or eat, then you can catch a movie at Celebration Cinema. This mall is pack during the holiday. read more

Love rivertown but I was very disappointed by how the baristas at starbucks treated me when I went. Its the first time ive been treated badly at a starbucks and I will NOT be going back there again. They're going to lose a lot of business if they don't let go of the girls working there right now, especially the girl with about 10 piercings in her face. I agree with JT. Rivertown Crossings was a big deal when it opened for those of us in G-Rap. It helped make semi-rural Grandville into a destination for a formidable army of Hummer Moms, 'tweens, and dudes with frosted tips. Personally, I find that pretty lame, and coming from a fashion-conscious perspective for the stores, I can't say that this is truly a good thing. The size is large, but surely not anywhere near the size of malls like Woodfield in Schaumburg (near Chicago) or Twelve Oaks in Novi. That said, this mall is very well maintained, and can be more fun that Woodland for people-watching. The food court is much better, in my opinion. Plus, Rivertown had Cinemark before there was a decent theater on 28th Street (remember that shithole Showcase Cinemas?). This mall is also more diverse than Woodland and is easier to get to. In all, they have some decent stores (Journey's, Old Navy) that Woodland lacks and this place has a more pleasant vibe for hanging out than Woodland does. So go get a some mall food and watch the carousel. read more

This Mall is a nice mall, very well kept, have a great variety of stores, nice food court, and a movie theater. The only problem with this mall is, it has pretty small aisles and small stores. Its often a tight squeeze between racks at many stores, Many people with those huge strollers get in the way. I have almost been run down numerous times. The mall also also offers strollers (as a hefty sum of $5) but they just are too big too.. The other downfall is the fact that on Friday and Saturday, this place is kiddie hell. Parents just drop their kids off and tell them they'll pick them up later. Its every kid and their friends clogging up aisles and acting like 4 yr olds. If you want my opinion, if you're going shopping on a weekend for the heck of it, go to Woodland mall. About the same kinds of stores, but with alot classier people, and more space. read more

It's the only mall that we go to. Very convenient location close to many other restaurants and stores. Mall is always clean and it has recently been updated (new paint, railings, tables and chairs, brick, etc, and there are always new things popping in. A great place to hang out and shop. The shopping here is nice. The varieties of stores are very vast. Toys, clothes, perfumes, video games, even oriental swords can be found here! The environment inside the mall is very bright and clean. The walkways are a little narrow at times because of the kiosks, but if you're willing to slow down and look your likely to find something really cool. The food court is huge! I mean, overly sized huge! So huge that the entire thing surrounds a beautiful carousel which my kids love to ride on. Parking can get a little crazy during the holidays and on weekends, but there is this one spot where you can park which very few know about..... But if I told you, than you would park there too. read more

This place is always very clean. The food court is okay, but expect slightly higher prices if you go here. They have a good selection of stores, and every department store you might need. I love going to the Barne's and Nobles. When my boyfriend works two hours before my shift starts, I'll go in and get a coffee and just relax for awhile. It's a good mall, but that's about as much as you can expect from it. read more

I came on a Monday evening to return some shoes I'd bought on line. The store was closed on M, T and Wednesday although most other stores were open. I guess I should have called ahead. What was more difficult was navigating the trip with my mom in a wheel chair. The handicapped parking spaces were well located and wide, however they were spotted w/ abandoned gum, some fresh, which got on to a wheel chair wheel. The push button to automatically open the doors to go into the mall was not functioning. The elevators worked well but were quite dingy and floor wasn't clean. The "women's and family" bathroom off the food court didn't have any truly "handicapped" stall. Although there were grab bars it was impossible to close the stall door with the wheel chair inside. Overall I felt the mall was a mess and not at all comfortable for someone in a wheel chair. read more

This is what I call "The Yuppie Mall". Yes, it is big and spacious, but its filled with white, suburbanite clones. I've got to go against the person who recommended this as a good spot for people watching since all you find yourself watching are annoying soccer-moms and teenagers who are all wearing the same Abercrombie and Fitch clothes. For as large as the mall itself is, most of its stores are on the small side. If there are stores that are in both Rivertown and Woodland, Woodland will have the larger version of it. Its an okay mall with a good selection of food, and a movie theater to boot, but it could be far better, too. read more

My husband's Aunt took my mother-in-law & I here to have a ladies day out to do some Christmas shopping for the men & I was very very impressed with the Mall. So very very SUPER HUGE!! I love the smell of Kilhwins in the mall & the huge carousel. So BEAUTIFUL. However...I didn't buy anything, really didn't see any good deals. Definitely worth coming back for. :) read more

Rivertown Crossings has disappointed me recently. As everyone has been saying there are bigger malls, but the shops inside are not fantastic. I've walked into a few stores and not even been greeted. Some of the stores when you walk in are in such a disarray and the employs are just standing around. It's not attractive to walk into a store and not be able to find anything. The carousel is great for the kids and nice decoration for the food court. The movie theater is super, I love that it's open past the mall hours. read more

I was happy to come across this mall because I live in Holland. The West Shore Mall in Holland, is well... a joke! RiverTown has no vacant stores and has a lot of options to choose from. I will be a happy girl if a Charming Charlies opens up. Along with the Loft moving into the mall instead of across the street. There is a good selection of anchor stores. The Kohls at this mall has a huge variety than the Holland location. The weekends can be a big cluster so I go during the week. Costco is also located across the street! The dining options in the mall are very slim. There are a variety of chain restaurants outside of the mall. If you go on the weekends, parking can be hard to come by. I usually find a spot near Sears with no problem. read more

If you're looking for a large mall to go and wander around and shop for a couple (or a few) hours this is what you're looking for. It's a good size mall with lots of shopping variety so you'll most likely find at least a few stores of interest. For me the Olga's restaurant is the star of this mall, but they also have a food court with lots of other options so there is something for everybody. The mall has always been clean every time I've gone there so kudos for that. If you find yourself either wanting to shop in a mall or just wander around someplace for a couple hours that is climate controlled this is a good place to consider. read more
