It's a standard Macys store. They have high end name brands available. Sales clerks seemed to be readily available and present around the store. The store was going through some renovations it looked like so I'm curious to see how they change the flow. Overall, good quality store with plenty of variety. read more

Slightly disappointed at this brick and mortar store. Although Macys have a very large selection, their shoe selection is very small. With prom and other large events coming up, I would think that there would be more of a sparkly shoe selection to go with a beautiful dresses that they have. I would always look forward to coming to visit my mother and going shopping at Macy's. Unfortunately, this time, I was slightly disappointed. read more

I usually enter at the Men's section, and even though I have not purchased anything the employees are always great. We have bought items in other areas of the store and have had great experiences. When I found a serious safety issue they fixed it right away. I will continue to shop here. read more

I went to Macy's and found a pair of shoes on the clearance rack with no price tag and in the wrong box. I walked around the store to find a cashier but I had to walk a lot to eventually find someone. When I did, I asked for the price on the shoes and they proceeded to say it was the price on the box. I explained that the box did not match the shoes, it was simply used to house the shoes on the clearance rack. After some research the associate came back saying they couldn't find them in the system. They even went to a higher-up, and after even more waiting, I was told Macy's doesn't sell this shoe, but they "hope to sell them for $40" since another store (Dick's) has them. I went on my phone to check, and Dick's sells them for $30. This made no sense. It was the only size and color, clearly not a shoe Macy's normally carries, and instead of honoring it as a clearance item, they just invented a price. After wasting so much of my time, I left frustrated and disappointed. It felt like they were trying to sell me a shoe for what they thought it was worth or did not want to sell me the shoe at all instead of treating me fairly as a customer. I would of much preferred they tell me they couldn't sell it, opposed to me feeling like I was being scammed at a department store. read more

I heard about Toys R Us being inside of Macy's from some friends, and I just had to check it out. My LO is just now getting into toys so I figured it would be incredibly fun to see what we could find, especially when all the Toys R Us stores have be shut down near us. The area was well kept and fully stocked. It was a lot of fun! The photo prop area was also a plus! Also!! The Santa letter area... love!! I love that just writing a letter and placing it in the Santa mailbox that Macys will donate to Make a Wish foundation! Love that! read more

What a disappointment this store has become. They no longer carry Karen Scott and Charter Club (and others) and have replaced these brands with items that look like they came from a thrift store. I am a Platinum Macy's card holder but I am sure my status will drop (or I will cancel) since the quality of the merchandise has dropped so significantly. I know this isn't the store's fault since corporate orders merchandise; however, whomever is making these decisions should be moved to another job. Extremely disappointed and sad. read more

Unfortunately, all of the phone calls to Macy's seem to go to an 'off-shore' provider. It is also unfortunate that the representatives seems not to understand me any better than I understand them. After I made 3 calls trying to get my on-line account address updated and add the appropriate new card number, the last rep I spoke to said that they have reported my card stolen (which was never indicated by me at all) and they were issuing me a new card (14 days from now). I have been a Platinum card holder for years and I resent the fact that I can not speak to someone that I can communicate with and have my issues resolved! I would like to see Macy's state-side representatives intercede when these 'off-shore' calls go sideways and it seems they regularly do! read more

Great customer service. We walked in and were greeted by a lovely young lady. She directed us to the "pickup" area where another lovely young lady gave us our package. We were in and out in minutes. I am impressed. I love shopping online and picking up in the store with Macy's. read more

I was in Macy's in Patrick Henry Mall, Sat Feb 5th 2022 and the customer service was disgusting I stood in the check out line over at the only ladies dressing room that was open at the time which was around 4:50pm One cashier was waiting on another customer and another cashier and young later who I later learn was a supervisor was talking and had been talking for a while as I stood in line to be waited on so I politely ask if her register was open and I was ignored so the cashier that was waiting on the other customer RUDELY responded- she talking to a supervisor so I said I am sorry and after she said that it seem to me that cashier took her time while I continue to stand in line with a hand full of items to buy with a bad back It took so long so I left that register and went to the register close to the lingerie dept. and what a difference. That cashier was awesome I was so upset until I told her what had happen at the other register and I thanked her for having such a awesome attitude. read more

Huge selections from Prada (?) to Levis and Bare Traps shoes...but ZERO a customer service. Unkempt dressing rooms. Think TJ Maxx on steroids. The shoe department is just like a Payless Shoe Store - no more customer service. Sooooo, great sales. Large selection. You can probably find what you are looking for but not much of a shopping experience. read more

Macy's is definitely my favorite department store. They have closed a lot of them but this is one of the 3 that's still open in this area. It's a big store and the staff here are really friendly and helpful. Macy's always has sales. I came here to return an item I brought online. This is a decent Macy's in the Newport News area. I prefer this location over the Peninsula Town Center location, since this is a more complete store. This store is only one level. It is one of the bigger one level Macy's that I've ever been too. The women's shoe section is not bad. I've seem bigger show women's shoe departments elsewhere. Great staff and great customer service. Everything is mostly tidy and clean here. Lots of parking available. Just watch out for crazy drivers in the parking lot. read more

All of the managers in the Home/kitchen Department are helpful. I came in with my damaged cooking ware and it was easily replaced without questions. Macy's truly honors the warranty of the products sold. I will be buying many more things from this store. Macy's also now offers e-receipts, which makes it convenient. read more

Went 8/14/19 just to look at bras, well this young lady named Nadine was so fantastic , i ended up buying a $65 bra (i would never ever spend that much on a bra !) and loving the feel so much, i wore it home! That day i broke 2 of my rules,1.Never wear something new before you wash it and 2.No bra is worth more than $40, and thats a stretch. Well jokes on me, today 8/20/19, i went back to Macy's and bought 2 more, this was a different young lady, but she was even more fantastic.I couldn't find the bras i wanted ( they were having a flash sale) and i wanted something like i had, but cheaper LOL, this young lady told me a easier way to find out what was in my size, bring bras to her, she'd check computer, i did and she did, quite pleasantly and patiently, I didn't get her name, but i was there about a hourand checked out at 2:05pm?. Kudos to this superstar!!. Only negative thing about store, bras need to be grouped by size, not just brand, this would have saved us both about 50 minutes. I told the young lady, Macy's could hire me to do that LOL, but seriously organize by size, each individual brand,this was super long, but everything needed to be written. read more

I'm very in-between with this store. I want to like because they have good deals and it's clean and very easy to shop and down hundreds of dollars in. Although, the staff is just atrocious, the people that work here are so rude! They roll their eyes when they mumble and you ask them to repeat what they said, they talk to you aggressively like they have betters things to be doing or you're wasting their time. read more
