This Macy's store in Palisade Mall has three levels. First floor has most of the accessories like jewelry, watches, purses, shoes, perfumes, cosmetics and men's apparels. Second floor mostly has women's apparels and a huge backstage section for items on big discounts. Third floor kid's apparels, toys and home products. I found the store well lit, clean and organized. Found few tops for my daughter in the backstage kid's section of backstage. Prices were excellent, under $20 for each. We also found couple of pairs of shoes in the women's clearance section. Both pairs had over 65% discount as they were on final sale. The staff members were friendly throughout the store. They assisted with finding the size of the shoes, did quick checkout and packed all items in paper bags. Overall it had a really nice shopping experience at this store. read more

Since we lucked out at the Stamford, CT location when we purchased a 3-seater sofa back in '18, we thought about going back for another sofa for our new home. Except, with the predicted Saturday-into-Sunday snowstorm, we were on the clock. Forget about the Macy's in Yorktown Hgts- that place is downright depressing with no furniture dept. This Macy's, on the farthest side of the Palisades Mall is a breath of fresh air. To add, there's a huge furniture dept on the 3rd floor. We were happy. Whether you need a new statement sofa, sectional, dining table, bed frame or something small to finish your room, this location has all the pieces. Every floor in Macy's was swarming with people and clothing racks were neat AND filled. Our guy Andrew was exceptional. He didn't nag and didn't stalk us. He went above and beyond and exuded great, old-fashioned customer service from helpfulness to language to knowledge- the dude was just high-level. I bought a gold chain and pendant from here 10 years ago for $650 and it was on sale for half off. I thought I got a good deal until I eventually went to sell it this year. Five different jewelry stores weighed it out in front of me and told me the same thing that the chain was hollow and that the most they were willing to offer me for everything was $150. I went back to Macy's to sell them back my chain and pendant and they refused saying they didn't buy gold. The exact pendant I had was on display was going for 650$. read more

I'm impressed to see a Macy's, particularly in this location, that is well spaced and also has 3 floors (4 including the parking garage entrance). It's pretty easy to locate where products are in the store, along with assistance and customer service. Each department I see has much more inventory compared to other Macy's I've been to and blown away by it, especially the men's. The 1st level contains the men's department starting in the middle of the store covering its perimeter until the back of the store, opposite the mall entrance. I've found a lot of variety with the different choices to pick, which is awesome and I can't emphasize how this Macy's does it. Went here yesterday (4/23/23) with my mom during our trip to the palisades mall to look for a dress for a summer wedding. We got there, actually found a close spot in front that lead us into The Macy's backstage area on the 3rd floor. We walked in and immediately headed to the dresses. I actually looked in the petite section, while my mom looked in the plus section. After looking, we headed into the fitting room, we tried on our dresses. Fitting room was clean, and there was no line. After trying on dresses, we looked some more, this time in the juniors department, and the petite dresses. Found some more cute dresses, and went into the fitting room again. The store got busier, and this time, there was a line. Some associate told us to go to the other fitting rooms on the other side of the store, this one had less of a line, and moved quickly. appreciate that the associate also helped us by showing us where the other fitting rooms were. We actually found the perfect dress that fit. Next we went to the cashier to pay for our items. There was only 1 cashier on at one point, but 1 more joined to help the line move quicker. First my mom paid for her items, which was a bra and her dress. She paid with her macy's credit card. I paid for my dress, which was at a discounted price because i used my macy's credit card, and they were having 30% most items. Store was pretty organized too. We also came back here after browsing the mall to look for shoes. i couldn't find anything, but my mom did. Shoe section was a bit more disorganized, mainly with shoes on the floor just laid there by the last customer who tried them on.. However, shortly after we noticed it, an associate came over and cleaned up the mess. My mom found a nice pair of shoes, and purchased them. We cashed out by the mens section on the 1st floor, and that cashier was very nice. My mom paid with her macy's credit card, and got a discount on her new shoes! Pressed for time, because we have a funeral - our family from out of town that aren't prepared/used to such weather we're in need of shoes. Over priced & if you return an item using their credit card make sure you are actually refunded. They'll take back the item & give you a return receipt but your account will never reflect the return. As with all department stores, sales are a way of life. If you ever pay full price in a department store you are either desperate or stupid. When I was in this weekend, amongst all their sale notices, anything not on sales had a 30% off sign above it. But when you read the fine print, you saw that you had to open a Macy's charge card to get that 20% off. I hate it when stores do that. read more

Macy's isn't the same everywhere yet whenever there is a Macy's in a mall, I make it a point to stop in. I'm never a fan of their make up/perfume counters but this location has several. The elevator is here scary but the elevator is sometimes necessary to take for those with strollers or limited mobility. Macy's credit cards offers more coupons than any other store or card I've ever experienced. Macy's card holders are give a ton of coupons so it's usually advantageous to have a Macy's card. The interest is high but there is no annual fee. This location usually does the job but if you can't find a color, size etc, as we couldn't, your best bet is online. read more

My package was lost in September, when I contacted the company they told me it was delivered and that they can't do anything about it. It was evident with photo of where they delivered the package, clearly it wasnt my house. They dont care once they ship the package, it wasnt my fault it wasnt theirs. Why is the selection so awful? Placemats and bedding look like they're from the 80's Domestications catalogs. Remember those? Yuck! Why does the store look so messy and unorganized? Apparel selection is hideous! I have not found anything to wear in Macy's for at least a couple of years! Dressing rooms are piled with clothing. Looks like Macy's is just hoarding products. The stores have been looking more like a Burlington Coat Factory. What happened to all the customer service? Too many people at the makeup counters just standing around not doing their jobs. Maybe you should get these people who stand around to do some organizing and cleaning.. Too many "management" types walking around not being helpful at all. They always seem to be in big groups dressed in black, taking up floor space, and when you approach them for help, they do not help you at all and just treat you with condescension! As with most Macy's this one is large, plenty stocked, and lacking customer service when you really need it. They're there... somewhere ;-) I can usually find what I need here and recently saved a lot of money on sale and clearance prices. It's worth giving them a look through. They carry all of the familiar names and labels as well as some you may not have heard of. while visiting the palisades mall in rockland county i did a little browsing at the 3 level macys and browsing turned into buying stuff i think i can use or need including 2 pairs of skeechers that were on sale for 50 bucks a pair compared to regular price of 80 bucks a pair. one of the better macys i have visited and it towers the macys in white plains that is now history. well stocked sections , place is clean and organized, i was able to look around and see all thats available including the mens dept that has plenty to offer from clothing , footware , grooming stuff, and more . i always like to visit the fragrance and makeup dept as i can get softly misted with the newest mens cologne and i aint buying makeup but i do enjoy looking at the beautiful exotic makeup counter gals as they apply face paint to overstressed burb moms. after 45 minutes i got my skeechers , cargo pants , belt, 2 king size pillows, godiva chocolate box , popcorn maker and after i throw everything in the car , its a bee line to the food court . read more

I went here to buy a few shirts for a family member as a christmas present. The store was a mess, but this was a week before xmas, so it's expected. The prices are outragous, but I hardly never buy anything unless it's on sale. I ended up buying 2 men's dress shirts, one blue and one red. When I got home I noticed a tear in the arm sleeve of the blue shirt. When I wen't back to get a refund, I had the misfortune to be helped by a customer service employee that seemed particularly upset by the fact that I requested a exchange. Great deparment store. Purchased about 6 Looney Toon tie. Got some fine deals! The employees were very helpful and they even hose me down with some cologne samples. Said it was fine to eat my soft pretzel inside. Also found couple sweater vests. The security guard and I had a few laughs and talked about the new grand theft auto. He even held the door for me on the way out. Great place to buy name brad and still save some bucks. $$$ read more

Music and chics were everywhere getting all "did-up" with make up. Anyway the staff was mostly friendly and they had tons of sales. The store itself was fairly clean BUT the men's dressing rooms were HORRIBLE. Worst I've been it. It was rank in smell and the floors needed to be vacuumed bad. Unacceptable Macy's!!!!! After waiting for nearly 10 mins for a cashier to fishish with a customer, you would think the polite thing to say would be "thank you for your patience." Or at least greet me with kindness? Nope, just a scowl. This was in the woman's department by the dressing room at about 6:30 pm in Sunday. To make it worse it was sweltering hot in the store. I understand it can be a tough job working in that position, but don't take your bad day out on the nice ones. He advises so well, is never pushy, points out the pros and cons - is so patitient and friendly. Last night, John was not there, we had the pleasure of working with Marie. Such a nice lady, helpful and informative as well as friendly. Highly recommend the jewelry dept. I've never had difficulty finding any merchandise and find the store to be neat, and clean. This review is for the Macy's makeup impulse counter and not the department store itself. I booked a makeup appmt with the impulse counter for my brothers wedding. Over the phone the associates seemed really nice and helpful and reassured me that they would do a great job as "they are all artists." I specified that i needed the makeup to last all day and night for the photographs and videos and they all seemed confident in doing so. When I got to my appmt, the MUAs were all over the place. They mixed up their schedules and took forever to finally start working on me. It made me late for my photos. Very unprofessional. The girl working on me had me worried bc for a MUA her makeup was horrible! If you're a MUA your makeup should be on point!! Anyway I showed her a couple pics of what I wanted and of course she said oh yeah that's no problem to do. SHE MADE ME LOOK NOTHING LIKE THE PICS. I was sooooo upset. I also broke out and kept telling her can you cover the blemishes and she was so terrible that you could see the redness through the makeup. I came home and my family absolutely hated it and my cousin even said she made me look like a prostitute. I cried took all of my makeup off that I paid for and redid it myself. I did such a better job than she did and i don't know that much about makeup. Save yourselves and go to real professionals. read more

I stopped at the Macy's in the Palisades mall to look for a suit or two. After looking around and trying on suits, I noticed that there was no one around to help me at all. I tried on 3 suits, still no one. I decided on a suit that fit me well, but if I needed alterations, I would be out of luck. I had to bring the suit to another department to pay for it. When I got to the register, the clerk tells me the pants are not the right size for the jacket, and I could not purchase them. He said that someone must have switched them. This could have been avoided if there was someone to help me in the mens suit department. Needless to say, I left with nothing. I will not go to this Macy's again. read more

Updating my recent review on Macy's furniture. After being very happy with the sectional we bought bad news. After only 3 WEEKS the zipper on one of the cushions broke! This furniture is lightly used and the zipper is a cheap plastic one. Despite being assured by the salesman that Macy's furniture service is done in house when he was trying to sell me the protection plan. I find out that they farm the service out to outside companies. The next date is over 3 weeks away and we are hosting Thanksgiving this week and need the seating. We thought we could get quality at Macy's. Obviously we were wrong. Replacement of the zipper with better quality would work bet of course they will only work on the one that is broken. I have found that when one piece is made cheaply they all are. After all, they come from the same company. I'm currently waiting to hear back from the department manager. read more

He brought it to my attention. I needed size large and he helped me return the small for a large shirt. He was extremely professional. HE SAVED ME A LOT OF TIME, TROUBLE AND DISAPPOINTMENT. At there MAC counter almost everyday. Theres this tall guy that really is the only reason why I keep going to this particular one. Hes very friendly and full of positive energy. I bought my son a Swiss Army watch for his graduation. The selection was minimal but I did find a great watch. However, in about 12 months the battery leaked and nearly destroyed the watch. I have to wonder, what kind of batteries are they putting in these new Swiss Army watches? I paid over $400.00 for this watch and fully expected it to run for at least five years on the battery - with no leakage. The sales clerk didn't know anything about the product. Like I said, the watch selection wasn't all that impressive - being a NYC resident I'm used to limitless choice. While it did come in a splendid box, they could not gift wrap it for me. But the worst part for me was the fact that it had a crap brand battery in it that LEAKED ... it cost me almost a hundred bucks to get it working again and I doubt I can get anything off a warranty. Bottom line, this Macy's is very small, the clothing selection is the same old Made in China junk that everyone else sells ... and for watches, don't bother ... either go to a reputable jeweler in your area or head into Manhattan and cruise the diamond district - everything is there and I've always been satisfied with the service, the price haggling is expected so you can get a better deal and they don't substitute with cheap crap batteries that could ruin an expensive watch. read more
