We took the display to AS IS and was helped by MATT, very nice and very helpful told us that he needed to find someone in The area we found it to get approved or a paper to say to sell it as display. We went back and truly looked for ANY EMPLOYEE ON THE FLOOR AND LOOKED AND LOOKED! Finally we found someone who said he would contact someone and after several minutes this young Dark Hair Gentleman who I found out later was known to Matt in AS IS! Well that employee was very unhelpful even condescending by pointing to the Skew saying that's the price but we said there is no other and this was display like he did not want to hear that! Again he used his finger and pointed and touched the skew as we help it and said that's the price! We put it back, shopped for 2 minutes and said.... Let's take it back to AS IS AND WE DID! Mentioned that that employee was very condescending and kept pointing to the skew on the back and walked away! Well, AS IS SAID " HE KNOWS HIS SUPERVISOR AND WHO IT WAS"! Very apologetic that we experienced really unfortunate customer service that he helped us and said that's he will sell it as Display and printed out a yellow sticker for it plus giving us a heads up where would we like the sticker cause once on its very hard to remove it so we said on the back! THIS IS EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I am very impressed that he took time to help us but also he made a sale! Now, for future shopping I have faith that whoever that Supervisor of that young man who was NOT THE TYPE OF EMPLOYEE TO REPRESENT IKEA! What they don't explain to you during purchase is that the installers are not vetted contractors who don't understand plans, don't allow you to take photos of their poor work quality during installation, will hide cracks in cabinets they cause, and then will ask for hundreds of dollars as a tip and to remove boxes. Customer service is lacking from ikea. I have been dealing with a kitchen that is only 50% usable due to installation for 6 months and ikea stopped responding 4 months ago. Unfortunately we had a bad spill and damage so they came out and said they'd repaced the couch. This was during covid and Jordan's had very limited choices for replacement. The replacement couch from Jordan's, turned out to be a lemon it's had so many issues the repair techs have been out 2-3 times so by now the wedge is bolted to the rest of the couch and we can't even move it. As to color, it was light grey, almost white but it was my only color choice during Covid, so I was glad I had the insurance because it would show every stain. Well, 4 years later, I recently noticed multiple stains on the couch and even Jordan's furniture tech agreed there were many and this was reported to Jordan's in a timely manner. Protect All required many pictures over 3 months. However, this time the decision was NO, Protect All and Jordan's won't stand behind the agreement. They will give me a credit. Wow, great. I don't think $800 is going to pay for a new couch with 4 recliners, and a wedge. So everyone, go ahead, buy expensive furniture at Jordans, even buy the insurance but if you need it more than once, forget it.
