My Mom used to make these for us when we were kids. They are still delicious. For dinner we ordered the coconut rice, green veggie curry, and Pad Thai. The Pad Thai was the best item we ate. I was actually pretty impressed with the food. The curry we ordered tasted great, I only wish the veggies were more authentic. The servers were pleasant and our food came out really fast even though the restaurant was full. My only suggestion is that the restaurant and especially the bar needs a bit of a clearing out /facelift.

If you walk right through Somebody Cares you will get to the building which the Thai cafe is in. So on entering they have the menu is displayed. In addition to the Thai food there are cakes, coffee and crisps. We ordered spring rolls (7 for £5 on this day, special offer) and I had Panyang Chicken (I think I've spelled that wrong) with rice. One friend had the combo (which was Panyang chicken and some pork with garlic - so 2 mains!) and the other had Tom yum with rice. You pay at the counter and they bring the food out. Which is great as you can leave when finished. For 3 mains, spring rolls, extra carrot salad and 3 drinks it cost £34. Good price. The food was amazing. I wanted more but restrained myself. We all loved it! I swear every time I'm in Aberdeen I'm going here. They also had a high chair for my friends wee boy. Staff really nice too. Odd location but amazing when you get there :)

I stopped by the next night and was debating between kebab and pizza. In the end I walked away with a veggie bbq kebab and an order of chips and curry sauce. A veggie kebab can be difficult to pull off, and this one didn't have much going for it. Fresh veggies, grilled, on a pita: check. But it needs something more. Even with the salad toppings and chili sauce, the whole affair fell flat. This is at least partly because the kebab was not cooked long enough. The undercookedness robs the kebab of the complex grilled flavors and leaves veggies that are sort of watery. It also leaves onions that are pretty raw. I like a good bit of onion, but I still ended up picking them out. Too much raw onion for me. The curry chips were delicious, but I would think that about almost any curry chips, so they don't get the third star for the chips. If I had ordered just curry chips and not the pita, then it would have been a three star affair. Alas, the curry sauce was also a little uninspiring. So, here's what they need: cook the veggie kebab longer, top it with a veggie kebab special sauce to add interest and pull the whole thing together. Meanwhile, the curry sauce should be more like curry and less like gravy.
