I have been going to Tech Way when it was owned by Wally and I had to get an emissions test a…read moredecade ago. Now his nephew runs the business and the same courtesy, respect, honesty for their work and to the customer remains top notch. I've never felt pressure to have work done. When I come in, knowing the problem, they address and handle the situation. But they also ADVISE other areas that could be an issue down the road, not immediate in order to make you spend more money. I have a genuine feeling that they care about their work and customers. Not easy to feel that in this day and age. The recent work I had done was for rear struts as I was going on a long road trip with my gravel bike on a hitch, but I waited till a week before the trip to get the car too the shop. And the shop is doing very well that it appeared that they wouldn't be able to do the job. Instead, they directed me their sister location, where the parts would be sent for the work to be done. And my trip was comfortable and stress free. I checked on the price for the work and it was below expectations from other shops. There's no other tech shop I would go to for my car and peace of mind.

I was ready to buy a new tire, but he said it only needed an inexpensive patch up and I was on my way in less than a full day (I got stranded after hours). He's not that far from where I work, and my regular mechanic has a foot and maybe a knee into the retirement door so I expect I'll be back. He's not far from a stop on the 80 county bus.

They have literally one janky chair parked in the main area in front of their ATM machine, so there's literally nowhere to wait for what could be (for some of us) hours, waiting for the repairs to be completed. Come on guys, you could EASILY add on a customer waiting room to the east side of your facility, eh? You do great work, but some of your customers don't have the luxury of having someone able to pick us up while we're waiting, and bring us back later. Do your customers a solid, and ADD A WAITING ROOM! (and restroom!)
