There was a moment of shock for me when I asked for Colman's mustard, which is the greatest mustard in the world and beef as good as this deserves Colman's, and I was told they didn't have it. As I was taking in the enormity of this shocking claim she re-appeared just moments later with a plastic pot of Colman's, so I shelved my plan to burgle a local supermarket and splurged a dollop on my plate. Another plus was when we ordered diet cokes we got the 330ml tins very well chilled. So many places now just pour from two litre bottles with no fizz left. One possible downside but not for us was that they don't sell desserts. We wouldn't hesitate to return.

I had found out about this place because I was on the Game of Thrones Door tour and they have Door#5. The Door itself is incredible and well worth the visit, but more importantly, this pub is very old school Irish and you will legit feel like you stepped back in time! Terry, the 3rd gen Owens, running it when I came in, was so incredibly gracious to not only share the story behind their door, but shared the amazing family history behind the pub including his grandfather who started it! The building it is in was built in 1852 as well...so if you are a history nerd like me, you will love it for that fact alone! They have a great draught beer selection and I was so happy to grab a very reasonably priced pint and sit in front of the fireplace (yes, they have a fireplace!) on a very chilly Limavady evening and chat w/some of locals. Around us was a complete mix of people, ladies having coffee (never understand people who go to a pub and have coffee but let's not judge), young guys having lots of pints and other families. We were lucky in getting our seats at the window and enjoyed the beautiful views of the sea and cliffs, just breathtaking. I was equally delighted by the fact thatthey serve mini bottles of Chardonnay as most bars seem to serve only that vinegary muck known as sauvignon. The kids were quite noisy but not out of control noisy and everyone seemed happy with that. Well, I was anyway.
