They painted the…read morewindows shut, painted the plastic runners on the inside of the windows and all the rubber seals. Paint was streaky and thick. Hardwood floors were not covered resulting in specks of paint all over. Furniture was slid across floors resulting in scratches. Areas that were not to be painted were and areas to be painted were not. We had to hire another contractor to take our windows out to try and scrape off the paint so they would work correctly. They also had to sand all painted areas and repaint them. One star is one star too many.

I received them at my new…read morehome requesting a quote for painting the primary bedroom, bath, hallways, closets, and doors. My wife showed them around and what she wanted done. It took about a month to get the verbal quote. I asked if there would be a documented work scope and they said there was no need. I wrote one and sent it to them. They had some questions and pointed out that there was more in my written work scope than they had understood when then built their quote. My wife and I were a little disconnected on what she wanted so I adjusted the scope document to reflect what she want which is what New Image Painting of Glen Rock PA quoted. We agreed on a price, scope, start date, and expected duration. The first day, they said "you got lucky." I asked how's that. They said we are starting and working over Easter weekend. Yeah, we agreed on the start date back in February! "I didn't realize it was Easter weekend." is what they said. So we get into the job and they decide to take a short cut. The work scope says to remove the door knobs, we discussed it in February, and now they have decided to mask and spray around them. Not what I wanted, not what was in the written, reviewed, and agreed to work scope. So as the job is nearing completion, I have noticed that one of the doors has not been painted. I ask why not and was told "I don't have any money in the job for that." What do you mean I asked, it is in the work scope document to remove and paint all doors. Well that door leads out side so it was not included in the bid, I was told. I am talking to the painter that walked around my house for the pre-bid meeting, and reviewed the work scope document line by line with me. The job was to paint the master suite including all the doors. There was/is not stipulation for interior vs exit doors. ALL DOORS. They refused to paint the door. When I suggested to hold back money they threatened me. "I know every body in this town, we will picket your house" they said. Bottom line don't hire these guys they are not good business people, they did a bait and switch on me and then threatened me. You don't want that.
