The unique program blends creative play with age-appropriate academic learning. Students make friends while learning in a safe, fun, and creative environment. Ms. Daye and Ms. Vanessa provide outstanding structure, guiding students to burn off their energetic wiggles and teaching preschool academics that prepare them for pre-k 4 and kindergarten. My 3-turning-4-year-old has mastered all her letters and numbers, can do basic addition, and writes her name and other words. My first-grader, who attended the preschool there several years ago, was more than prepared for elementary school. The unique environment lets students release their toddler- and preschooler-level energy in the indoor play space during cold Chicago winters. In warmer weather, students enjoy the outdoors at a local park or the outdoor field right at the school. You should check this place out! Next year, they will offer a full-day option, and you can customize morning, afternoon, or full-day attendance to create a schedule that works for you. At the entrance, they have tables/chairs and many cubbies for shoes/coats. Make sure you have socks as shoes must be removed in most of the play areas. A waiver needs to be filled out in order to participate. I liked that you could do a paper version, use a tablet, or scan a QR code and do it on your phone. That helped the line move fast! They have a little toddler section, a basketball court, soccer area, gymnastics area, and slides! So, there's something for littles and the big kids...and they are sectioned off. There are benches in between all areas for parents/grownups to sit. The party room has an area to set up food and then the area with tables. I loved that it was a private event. I'm assuming this is an available option after hours, as this party was at 7PM. My daughter had so much fun and wants to have a party there now. If we were in the area, we'd love to check out their classes and other offerings. They also have a free parking lot which is a huge plus in the city!

They have made her feel welcome and safe and it has been a pretty easy summer having her go to camp full time. I love the express check in the night before - my daughter loves selecting her food for camp the next day, and loved the food. She had the option to get a school lunch at her school this year and always wanted me to pack her lunch, but for Steve and Kate's I have never had to pack a lunch which is honestly one of the biggest perks for a working parent. The amount of activities they have for kids and the level of learning really surprised me. My daughter learned how to crochet and sew this year and was so into it. She loves the crafts, bread baking (which is actually such good bread - I have eaten it if she shares), and so much more. It has been a great experience for both my daughter and us. A parking garage is across the street, but other than that it's a challenge, For safety I would not park off campus. My son swam in his conference meet the UAA. He swims for Washington University. Typically Emory, Chicago & WashU are the top programs in the country. The teams are competing in swim and dive. The facility lacks adequate spectator space for very large meets such as this. The pool is a 50 meter plus diving. It's a great pool and swims fast! The staff at the event over four days was excellent. Ticketing was handled well and the lines organized. They even had a coat check. My deduction of 1 star is the spectator area. Not only small, but the design is poor. Only the two front rows can see well. 3.5 rounding down.

Each day filled with different activities from snorkeling, rafting, canoeing, hiking, biking and so much more! Counselors were always there to help and listen to you if you needed anything, also to provide extra supplies if you need them for the plethora of activities that we did. Each day was unique in its own way, I was never bored and there was always time to hang out after an exciting day. The service work was also amazing because you really felt like you were part of the community that you were helping. RLT staff that was not on the field was also super helpful every step of the way to keep parents informed as well make every event run smoothly. Special thanks to Nicole Smart for her readiness to help and skillful problem solving! I would do a trip with RLT any day, and would definitely recommend this camp. Its hard to drop him off, I want to get out and participate in the activities.Where to begin...well first off its super well run by a well-trained friendly staff. They help with everything including applying sun screen at beginning of the day. Kids are assigned to a coach with same age kids, and let me tell you these coaches are hand-picked- super nice, love kids and know their sports. You can tell many of them play elite sports themselves. The camp is well programmed with different themes each week- basketball one week, Olympic week the next. Competitive but in good way. Lunch is really good- food kids like to eat like Popeye's chicken, pizza, and Fridays they grill hot dogs and hamburgers for the kids. Pickup and dropoff is fast and easy and location right off the highway- or there is bus pickup from many Northside locations. We moved to Park Ridge but Jack insisted he attend camp regardless (he met his best friend there) so Mom and Dad take turns driving him an hour each way sometimes (so worth it). They have a great photog who sends out super cool videos each week. Field trips to Cubs games and water parks. Its so great we usually sign him up for most of the the summer, and take advantage of the early bird pricing before January 1st each year. We cannot wait for the camp to start this summer, its hard to imagine a summer sports camp as good at this one. The coaches are enthusiastic, patient, and amazing with kids--they made my children feel supported, encouraged, and confident right from the start. My kids absolutely loved their coaches and felt comfortable learning and trying new skills, even when it was challenging. Beyond just having fun, I've seen real growth in both of my kids' skill sets. Their coordination, understanding of the sport, teamwork, and confidence have all improved significantly thanks to this program.
