My creativity before it hits the kiln.

Fun night "melding" glass. What's "melding" you ask? It's layers of colorful glass arranged and heated to create beautiful artistic pieces. Just remember art is very subjective so don't judge my work lol. Simple studio layout with no frills. Just lots of glass. Arrive and get some basic instructions on how to create works of art which can be displayed or used in practical situations. A sushi plate perhaps, or maybe just something to start a conversation. You work solo with a bunch of broken pieces of glass which you arrange on a clear base. Imagination takes over and you use colorful glass powders, chunks, shards etc to leave behind and comeback to collect at a later time. Nice calm activity for a date night or just something out of the box when looking to have fun. Finish up your melding and walk around the corner to grab a taco at Rojo Gusano to cap off the night. We will be back to try another glass class soon.

This place is awesome! I came across it during the Ravenswood art walk where they had a ornament making demo and soon after I signed up for the class. I highly recommend the ornament glass blowing class for a fun and unique date night. The instructor was great and walks you through everything, and will even stand by you for instruction for all your ornaments if you prefer. Each participant gets to make 4 ornaments at the price of $50/person (if you sign up through Dabble). It does seem a little pricey, but it's such a great experience and totally worth it. And we left with some pretty special ornaments for our tree! After taking the class we were told that you can rent studio time with the blow torch at $10/hour and buy the points to make ornaments for $6 each.

Ornament class round 2 for me :)

A year later and I'm back for another class! I love it! I want to come back for more learning but my schedule has been as full as Leslie's! I need to practice my ornament making :) Heaven knows that my little glass pieces are a bit odd shaped. This would be a great date place, or a fun night out for friends, or just go by yourself and know that you will be warmly welcomed!

Cool classes and excellent, one-of-a-kind glass creations in the heart of Chicago's Ravenswood.

Today was my first time exploring this extremely adorable and unique crystal boutique shop! There is a large selection of raw and polished crystals, fabrics, clothes, chimes, bells, Tibetan singing bowls incense, massage and essential oils here. I found myself drawn to a variety of beautiful sacred geometry stones and picked out a complete set for myself in a variety of colors. Each stone of course is for a different chakra so if you appreciate raw and polished crystals you will enjoy wandering around this store and find many beautiful objects whether it's essential oils, clothes or sound healing instruments. I was extremely tempted to keep buying more and more; but I limited my shopping by buying three tiny perfume oils (myrrh, lavender, vanilla) one bottle of Champaka massage oil, a gorgeous clear quartz crystal a sacred geometry set, and a tiny cymbal. The owner is from Nepal and he's extremely friendly and helpful. I will most definitely return here as my budget allows and I highly recommend this gift shop if you're a healer or you just appreciate crystals and alternative healing. There's also an ample selection of incense here to choose from. I really love everything I purchased today

Two hours was the perfect amount of time. The staff was super attentive, always checking in to see if we needed more paint or assistance. I highly recommend Color Me Mime for people of all ages - it's a fun way to get creative. I'm excited to see how our finished pieces turn out; I believe it takes a few days. Definitely worth a visit!

I was looking for a very specific size and type of planner for the new year, and an employee was very kind and assisted me in finding it. For an imported product, it was very reasonably priced! I got a pipsticks sticker book, some tombow glue tape refills, washi, and sticker sheets and a die cut sticker. So many goodies! Great addition to the neighborhood and I hope they can branch out to be a bigger shop because I see so much foot traffic that it would be nice and honestly want to see businesses I like expand.
