i really wanted to support this local business, but unfortunately this experience left a bad taste…read morein my mouth. i've purchased items from leveled up before and have never had an issue or needed to exchange anything, so this was pretty disappointing. a few weeks ago, i bought a hat while i was in a bit of a rush and didn't realize until i got home that it was a trucker-style hat instead of a baseball-style hat, which i much prefer. since they don't offer refunds, i figured i'd just exchange it for store credit. my first attempt was a waste of time because i drove all the way to east aurora only to find the store closed, even though both the website and the hours posted on the door said they should've been open. the second time i went back they were open. i brought the hat back exactly as i bought it. i never wore it, never even tried it on, still had all the tags attached, and had kept it in the original bag in my home while waiting to exchange it. the employee helping me immediately started inspected the hat intensely and pointed out what she said was a makeup stain and told me they couldn't take back merchandise that had been worn. i was honestly caught off guard because i know for a fact i never wore or even tried on the hat. it came across as pretty accusatory, especially when she said they don't even put merchandise out with stains on it. did it ever occur to anyone that another customer could've tried the hat on before i bought it? after inspecting the hat for what felt like an unnecessary amount of time, she finally agreed to give me store credit, but only as a "one-time exception." i appreciate that i was ultimately able to exchange it, but the way the situation was handled made me feel like i was being accused of something i didn't do. i guess it really will be a one-time credit because after the way i was treated over a stain that was there before i even bought the hat, i don't see myself coming back.

They have a great selection of Buffalo items and other fun items from local vendors. The last time I was here was a week ago. I bought some stickers for my boyfriend and I, a Buffalo Bandits collar for his dog, a small wristlet to wear to Bandits games, a ring for my niece and a few small cookies for my niece. I spent way more than I wanted to. I wish the stickers and cookies were a bit cheaper but I'm happy to have supported a local business. I'm sure I'll be back!

I've been itching to check out this store, and I'm really not sure why I never ventured in here sooner. Maybe it just wasn't the right time. This past year my urge to hike has kicked into overdrive and lately I've been all about outdoor activities - so going in here not only cured some boredom, but got me excited for the warmer months and getting back out on the trails. The shop shares a building with another business. Once you go up the steps and into the building, the shop is straight back (and pretty hard to miss with the signs!) This shop is pretty large, with everything and anything to fill your outdoor needs. Tons of apparel with popular outdoor brands like Carhartt, hiking boots, and other useful gear for camping and hiking. You can get snow shoes and chains here for your winter hikes, and there's even some gear for your dog! I only came in here for the socks but I also left with these cool fake "skipping stone" dog toys, and a double sided spoon/fork. Total score! Looking forward to returning in the summer to fulfill more of my hiking needs. P.S. I love my socks. They're stylish and keep my feet warm!

I must have written that review way before I gave myself enough time to decide if I liked the socks or not, but here I am 4 years later and I now EXCLUSIVELY WEAR DARN TOUGH SOCKS. Thank you, Aurora Outfitters, for turning me onto these wonderful socks. Also thank you, past tense me for clairvoyantly deciding to purchase said socks and change my life forever. I live in Buffalo and am in love with the city so when I saw a shirt that said living my best Buffalo life, I had to have it!!! She had more sizes than what I realized and I found a perfect shirt for me. I ended up buying it. They have a wall full of socks with fun and sarcastic sayings that I have to come back and purchase. They have cool things to hang on the wall (like a peace sign) that I need. They also have a few sarcastic coffee cups, one of which I definitely need (about being chalant AF.) The problem is the kit does not fit the 2022 X3 or any model X3 2022+ as specified by High Lifter. I tried to return them and was told no refunds will be given by American Off-Roads or High Lifter. They told me it clearly states that when you order. I would understand if it was my fault but not when you sell and or make a product that is NOT designed for the year, make and model you claim it is for. BUYER BEWARE!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON PRODUCTS SOLD BY THEM OR HIGH LIFTER AS YOU MAY JUST BE THROWING IT AWAY. Also, these snorkel kit are very cheap quality. I went to AmericanOffroads.com website to search for radius rods for my Polaris razor. I found the…read moreperfect set with a perfect red to match the color of my machine. In selection, you have to select the color, you have to select the bolt size ,year, make and model. The picture it shows for the product is the perfect red that of my vehicle. However, when you go down to select color, it says red and there's a little red mark that isn't quite the same color you don't really notice it. However, when I got the item, they were maroon or burgundy. When I called American Offroads they said I should seen the difference( the item pictured is RED the selection box said RED not Burgundy ) they're going to charge me $100 stocking fee plus shipping cost, and if there was any mark on it whatsoever, they send it back to me Plus charge me. I never installed them, but that's when I noticed there was a small tiny scratch on one and the guy made sure he told me that if there was damage ( even if it happened to be during shipping ),they'd send them back to me and not give me my money back. Plus charge me more shipping!!!
