We ordered on their website for delivery. We have used them many times before. After waiting an hour and a half, we didn't receive the food or a call (?), so we called, and they said that they don't "do" delivery, they only offer pickup. Well, their website, right on the home page, it says delivery. When we asked if the food was cold, they said that if it was, they were not going to reheat it. So, I contacted American Express to chargeback the order. The look and feel of the place says it is going to go out of business. read more

We hadn't ate a real meal all day and it was getting late so we decided to try Made in India. It's in a small plaza that houses a couple other small businesses. They have two other locations (another in Kelowna and one in Lake Country). We dropped in on a Thursday (around 8:30pm). No dine in so we grabbed our order to go. We were quoted a 20 minute wait but it was closer to 10. The menu consists of meat, veg, appetizers, rice and bread, salad and desserts. We were asked how spicy we wanted our order and opted for medium. - Spinach naan ($3.00) - a touch soft in texture but the spinach was plentiful and tasty. - Basmati rice ($2.00) - good amount especially for the price. - Lamb saag ($14.00) - we always enjoy the lamb spinach combination. Decent but the flavour was lacking and the lamb was slightly overcooked. - Goat curry ($15.00) - this was the better of the two entrees. Goat was tender and the curry was much more satisfying. Portions are a good size and we had leftovers for the next day. Made in India was decent Indian fare but we weren't blown away. read more

Ummm ... wow! We've never had butter chicken made with Campbell's tomato soup before. You might think we're kiddin' but NO indeed. Reasonable amount of chicken but what's the point of calling it butter chicken when it literally is chicken in tomato soup. I know restaurants are trying to figure out survival strategies but cutting back like this? Also ordered fish pakora. Was so salty that we couldn't tolerate it. Wanted to enjoy since it's so rare that we order for pick-up. Paid $36. Basmati rice and garlic naan were 'just' ok. Benvoulin and KLO Rd location in Kelowna is take-out only. Maybe try somewhere else if you want any kind of authenticity. Also, I just can't help myself ... this walk-in location was disgustingly dirty. Floor, door, windows and sticky countertop. We asked our host about a good restaurant in Kelowna and she suggested this. This is a very small restaurant. When we went in, it was just the two of us. We ordered Palak Paneer, Shahi Paneer and rice. We were not sure of the spice level so asked if the medium would be spicy. Since we were told it would be we went with mild . If we could give 0 stars, we would. We ordered for delivery and quoted us a time of 1 hour and 45 min. That was ok as we were willing to wait. They asked for our phone number and we gave it to them, however, two hours later, we decided to give them a call to see what the situation was. They said they knocked and called but we were paying attention to the phone the whole time and never heard any knocking. They said they were no longer willing to deliver to us. We ended up delivering pizza instead. I work in customer service and am usually pretty understanding, but this experience left a sour taste in my mouth. Would NOT recommend. read more

Very small room if you're thinking of dining in. The food is excellent and the service attentive and knowledgeable. Five of us went and were accommodated creatively and promptly, even our request to have the A/C turned off was granted. Our server engaged in conversation with us and shared his extensive knowledge of the place which really enhanced our experience. The menu has more than enough options to find something for everyone and an honest effort was made to accommodate those averse to spicy. The Veg Pakora was outstanding as was the Veg Kadhai. I got delivery from here. It was super quick, faster than they anticipated. I got chana masala, aloo gobhi, basmati rice, and garlic naan. So amazingly good. For what I paid, I got a TON of food. I have so far eaten three meals from this order and I still have some left. Naan was incredible. I love how the cauliflower in the aloo gobhi was cooked--perfect. Absolutely awful service. Ordered 2 butter chicken dishes, 2 sides of rice and two orders of garlic naan for delivery at 5:15 & was given an estimate of 45 minutes to 1 hour. After an hour and a half at 6:45 we called back because we still hadn't received our food. The woman on the phone claimed that the driver had said he had called us and knocked at the door but we had received zero phone calls nor had we had anyone at our door. She told us the driver would do more deliveries and then drop off our food. Half an hour later, still nothing and she gave us a new estimated wait time of an hour "tops". 3 hours for delivery? Are you serious? For a business that relies so heavily on take out and delivery as part of their income, you'd think they would be a little more on top of things. Incredibly disappointed. read more

This place is such a bummer because they could have the tastiest curries around but they use really cheap meat and it just kills the dish. The chicken is flavourless - it tastes like those frozen breasts that come in a box, and the lamb has this weird processed texture.
