I had a brief layover in PDX so I made my way into this cute store. I love purchasing made in the state gifts so this store was perfect for that. My final destination was not Oregon so I didn't specially need gifts to take home. What I did want was a state souvenir to take with me. Walking in, you are visually bombed with all sorts of colors and objects. I love stores like this. It requires you to take a minute to slow down and look at everything. They truly have everything here. From mugs to candy to sweatshirts, you'll find an Oregon themed gift here. I have so many shot glasses and mugs from different states that I have stopped at or traveled to. I started doing something different now. I slap a state sticker on my suitcase to represent each state I have been to. I have been to Portland a few times so this was a nice addition to my suitcase. It's an easy souvenir without it cluttering my cabinets. The sweet gal at the register checked me out. She was patient with me as I headed back to the stickers cause I couldn't decided between a couple. I really liked this store! Be cautious of your time! I was able to snag some fantastic gifts for my dad for father's day including a coaster, a wine stopper, a shot glass, and some other cute goodies. Unfortunately, the shopping experience wasn't perfect. While the shop itself is charming, the staff unfortunately lacked warmth. They seemed disengaged, which created an unwelcoming vibe. It seemed like they didn't want my family and I there. A touch of friendliness from the staff could have truly elevated the experience. Locally made soaps, candy, chocolates, beer, and wines. Makes it super easy then to bring a beer or a bottle of wine when you fly out of PDX... for gifts...yeah... This location is pre-security so even if you aren't flying anywhere you can visit this store. Made In Oregon stores carry clothing, jewelry, arts and crafts, food, wine and beer. They're also a great place to pick up logo merchandise for our local sports teams, including the Ducks, Beavers and Timbers. They carry everything from scarfs to key chains. If you're a fan of the PDX carpet pattern merchandise, they have a variety of those items as well. This is a fun place to shop anytime so pay them a visit and you're certain to leave with something from Oregon. read more

This is a shop at the Portland International Airport that sells souvenirs with an Oregon theme, just like the name of the store states. I went in with the purpose of finding my son a Sasquatch t-shirt since I left it to the very last minute to get him one while we were actually in the city. It wasn't long before I found what I was looking for, but the only available sizes on display were the ones I didn't need. After explaining to the staff that I needed a mens' medium, the helpful lady who was there called to check the other Made In Oregon store located someplace else in the airport to see if they had the size we needed. Lo and behold, they did so the sales lady told us to return in about an hour and the shirt would be there. This kind of customer service is the stuff that deserves recognition and we were so grateful to end our trip on such a nice note. And my son loves his shirt! read more

Similar to the ABC stores in Hawaii, there's a nice franchise here in Oregon for local knick knacks. These little shops are located at almost every mall and also the airport in Oregon. I still stopped by all of them to check out the goodies that they have. What made me LOL the most is the Sasquatch tee shirt with him riding a bike over the moon ET style with the caption "night rider" under the picture. Apparently the Sasquatch is the state animal here, there were tons of shirts, magnets and other souvenirs to buy and take home. There are tons of stuff to look at here. You can find something for everyone here from cosmetics, food and clothing. I purchased a few items for my friends and family back home. The staff at all the stores were extremely friendly and made me feel very welcome. What I love most about Oregon-no sales tax! read more

Here you can buy local craft beers.. and surprisingly even cheaper than getting from the brewery itself?! Rogue Voodoo Doughnut Maple Bacon Ale, such a pretty bottle (I have not tasted it as yet!) is cheaper here than buying it from Rogue Brewery Pub right next door!!! Spotted Brooks Temperance Hill and Rastaban PN as well as other Pinots with $70 price point, about the highest seen. Other less expensive labels: Erath, King's Estate, Etc. This place is awesome. I had so much fun in Portland, I completely forgot about souvineers. We stopped in before our flight to look around. You can purchase 22oz bottles of local Oregon beer to take with you home. I knew we were splurging for ourselves when I picked up a couple bottles of beers from breweries we couldn't get to during the trip. I bought Oregon chocolate, spices for dips and other little culinary treats. I did not know the Beaver brand was from Oregon! I picked up a Wasabi Horseradish, because I am in love with both. I loved Portland, it was an awesome city to visit. For such a short trip, I saw and did a lot but you had me wanting more. read more

I usually never "shop" at an airport but I'll always make the exception for Made In Oregon. My time in Oregon has become so short with every visit that this store tends to bail me out of my pre-flight shopping fails whenever I'm looking to score last minute gifts for folks. It also doubles as the *only* place I'll get random airport items for myself (Yeah, I'm looking at you HMSHost!). The airport store version of Made In Oregon is typical - limited inventory, condensed variety, and higher prices. Any other joint would sell similar items for considerably more, so the price tags even with their airport markup seems quite reasonable. It's especially impressive considering everything in the store is a locally sourced item, a collection of unique stuff that would easily be astronomically expensive anywhere else. A bar of Willamette Valley soap for $2.00? $.95 cents for Oregon Rain Water? Toiletry score. Those nearby convenience stores suddenly don't look so appealing. When it comes to souvenir shopping, there have been some outstanding victories. Everything from Oregon Ducks / Blazer memorabilia to scoring jars of my favorite Oregon Marionberry jam here. One can get big ticket items like Oregon wines or beer, or go for something small like locally made scented candles for $3. Beyond the usual boxes of Oregon Moonstruck chocolate and the Marionberry, there aren't a lot of food based items here. That means no Tillamook cheese for folks, for now anyway. PDX International has already made a name for itself as one of the best airports in the nation and part of it's upper edge are stores like Made in Oregon. read more

Per the security regulation during the time of the orange threat level, my sister was very tempted to buy the jam sold in the Made In Oregon shop inside the Portland Airport. Instead, she bought chocolates because they're neither a liquid nor a gel. Anyway. I love their earring and jewelry selection because they feature local designers who create pieces of good quality and originality. This is so much better than the usual duty-free shop in airports, and you can actually buy people a present from Oregon that doesn't look like you forgot and just bought a tchotchke from the airport souvenier shop, even tho you did :o) read more

This saved my "last minute gift needs" fiasco quite well, so I kind of like this little place, but its in the airport and I will probably never be back to it so it is hard to give the coveted foursies rating to a place like this. They have a lot of wine and preserves stuff along the wall - but its very expensive, like already marked up for being in the airport and then some. Their shot glass collection is small and the designs are ugly. But they have some nice under $10 knick-knackery to allow you to find something suitable. This store is inside PDX post-security and has local gifts and souvenirs. It's the perfect place to pick up that last minute gift before boarding the plane. Checking in a bag on Alaska costs money, so I just buy my jars of marionberry and huckleberry jam here after clearing security and stick them in my luggage - then I don't need to worry about the liquidy things over 3oz rule. And actually, when you guy beer or jams, the cashier tells you that you have to keep these in the post-security area too. They also sell other jams and they have some in gift sets. They also sell aardvark hot sauce, moonstruck chocolate, coffee, and beers - all made in Oregon. I love to bring back food as gifts and this is a great place to get ones that are from this great state. They also sell stickers and such with the outline of Oregon and the green heart in the middle, which is super cute. The one I went to is located in Concourse C and it's open early at 5AM. read more

I really wanted to give Made in Oregon some love during COVID and had need to thank several people with a gift basket. I thought I would purchase items and put together my own basket. I filled my basket, was pleased to see there was a shipping discount banner displayed that matched my purchases. I live in Portland, OR so didn't want to pay shipping for a 2 mile delivery. The code didn't work and I was quoted over $20 shipping. I emailed customer service with the photo of the banner. The rep didn't respond for 10 days and when they did respond, did not acknowledge the banner pic and explained two options (1 for shipping discount). About a week and a half later, I shopped again, putting all the items in the basket and surprise, I was quoted the $20. I emailed customer service again, the same rep responded that the shipping deal had expired. Why could you have not informed me there was a deadline in the previous email. I emailed one more time to ask if there was a supervisor where I could ask for some discount and again received an email back that didn't address my specific question but asked me if I was a Made In Oregon member (which I already was.....so why wasn't I getting the discount??). Maybe this was a robot answering my messages. I hope so. Thanks for wasting my time and energy. I won't try and give you business. Instead I shopped at other local Oregon businesses. I didn't realize there are two stores at PDX. This one surprised me in the main outer shopping concourse. I was short on time and had stopped in another shop (Mother Goose) where neither attendant said hi nor one moment please. I left and found the Made in Oregon Store. It seems much bigger than the one in Concourse C, and Gary was immediately welcoming, cheerful, and super helpful! He's an amazing representative and all round wonderful retailer. This Made in Oregon store is the best kept secret in PDX International. Why? Besides the fact that you can score Oregon wines and beer to take with you when you fly to other places with a much more dismal selection of such items, they... get this... sell a 16oz bottle of Oregon Rain water for $1. Actually, it's $.95. Not even a full dollar. While the HMSHost places will sell you a similarly-sized agua for at least twice the price, these guys do it right. That's the same as you'll pay outside the airport. Every time I need to score some Oregon Pinot as a gift when traveling I stop through here. It costs more, for sure, but to save the hassle of having to check a bag to get around those asenine TSA rules about liquids, it's worth the couple extra bucks per bottle. As far as airport gift shops go, Made in Oregon is pretty standard. They have at least a couple of locations that I saw. If you are to believe the signs around PDX, what's nice about Portland airport shopping and dining is that the prices are not supposed to be higher than off-airport. Looking around the store, this seems to be the case. And there's always that no sales tax thing that Oregon has going for it. I'm a bit of a fridge magnet nut. I did find a nice hand-carved wooden one, but since I already had magnets from Multnomah and Tillamook, I decided to abstain. However, they do have a varied selection of Oregon brews. We found a bottle of Rogue's Portland State University IPA. With the girlfriend being an alumnus, and with this particular storefront being behind the security checkpoint, the acquisition was a no-brainer. read more

This is for gate C's made in Oregon store: My luggage was overweight: instead of paying extra, of course I took some stuff out with me as carry-on :) I didn't have an extra bag, as wasn't expect this.. So I went in this store to buy some souvenirs, and ask for a big bag. they were nice about it they have a small selection of moonstruck chocolate, yum yum! this place is same price as other Made in OR stores, so you can do last minute shopping or buy wine, as the store is after the security gate. they also have a store outside of security gate, not sure why.... I often get a little sad when I travel with only a carry on when I cannot grab a local bottle of beer to take home to share with my husband. When I found the Made In Oregon store at PDX, I was over joyed. Shelves upon shelves of local Oregon beer and wine and chocolates and other treats like jerky, jams and jellies. The prices were very reasonable, especially for an airport gift shop. There were a ton of Oregon made trinkets and treasures for souvenirs. HOWEVER, I made an order online and they did NOT ship me the most expensive item on my order. I have tried to contact them multiple times, but to no avail. Please CLOSELY watch your order and do NOT order on an extra busy day. I am not prevaricating as my item was bulky and could NOT have fit in the same box as the other items ordered and shipped.
