I'm remarried now, and the difference between my last relationship and this one is night and day. The physicians were conservative and had him work through a couple months of different therapeutic solutions until ultimately it was decided that he needed surgery. Post surgery his UC Davis doctor referred us to Scurti Orthotics. This family run business is professional, caring, and ethical. At his first appointment, they measured his foot then created a mold to make sure that the orthotics they were building were custom to his foot and concerns. My father also has a size 15 foot and has had difficulty his whole life finding footwear. He often has to send away mail order for his shoes. So, while we were at this appointment, he was able to try on several shoes, but ultimately placed an order for the right sizing in the colors that he wanted. They had him come back after they had built his customized orthotics and the shoes he ordered had arrived. His second appointment they fit him with the orthotics and the new shoes. On the first try he was still experiencing some discomfort so they made a minor change in their shop and brought it back out for him to try again. He slipped his foot in the shoes and it worked. All he could say as he was walking and smiling was "unbelievable". Thank you gentlemen you've made my Dad very happy and comfortable again.

I have deformed feet. The first pair of shoes were too small, And did not have orthotic inserts to protect the skeletal structure of my feet. I wore them for weeks and they damaged my feet. When the second pair of shoes arrived, the same problem occurred. There were no orthotic inserts to protect my feet. Foot impressions for the inserts were taken. Yet, I never received the inserts. The second pair of new shoes do not work. I called the office and emailed the office with no response. I have no proper tennis shoes at all. I only have one pair of medical boots that I cannot wear all the time. They are too heavy. I don't have enough shoes to live my life properly and get out and get things done.

My family had two horrible experiences with Dr. Kile involving my son who has autism. Kile has a…read morehuge ego and does not like it when people question him or advocate for their family member. Four years ago he made promises to me and my son to be my son's doctor (to manage his meds, and told us that his anxiety and racing thoughts would feel better after his treatment), and then abruptly bailed out on my son's care because he didn't like that I questioned what he was doing. He expected me to pay over $6k for a mere IQ test and to keep my son on a med he prescribed (that was making my son overly medicated) after he withdrew his promise to be my son's comprehensive doctor for no good reason. What would be the point of going forward with an evaluation with him after he abandoned giving my son the follow-up care that he promised, which would've been based on that evaluation? It made no sense. Then four years later when we needed an up-to-date evaluation for my son for benefits purposes, we had to wait for a whole year on the waitlist for an appointment. And then when it was finally almost time to come in, he instructed his assistant (Sara Balouch) to call and cancel on us and to LIE to me, claiming that it was for "schedule" reasons (which is BS). The truth is he held a petty grudge from the first time we saw him because I questioned his plan of care and cancelled the evaluation (not only because Kile went back on his promise to be my son's treating doctor but also because my son's counselor advised us not to put him through all the testing due to his emotional state. It was a very difficult time for my son back then.) So I had very good reason to cancel the first time! Yet Kile's assistant Sara four years later shamed me for doing that. And as some sort of payback for that, Kile cancelled on us and yet again for the second time abandoned my son's care- and he did that after he made us wait a whole year to get back in again! What kind of neurology clinic or doctor does that? We could've had my son's evaluation done by now by a different doctor if Kile had told us a year ago when we made the appointment that he was holding a petty grudge from four years ago and was going to yet again punt on us. He completely wasted our time! He not only had his assistant Sara LIE to me that it was for "changing schedule" reasons that he was cancelling, she also told us to just go somewhere completely different to be seen, basically telling me we were not welcome to come back. Wow, really? It was traumatizing to get a call like that. I did not deserve it and I did nothing wrong. Kile just doesn't want to deal with anyone who advocates for their child (which is my job as a mother!) or even questions what he does. He is the most unprofessional "doctor" I've ever come in contact with and he treats people like they're medical charts, not human beings. Kile cannot tell me that I can't take my son to a different neurologist in his clinic. I have no desire to take my son to him. But if he ever needs a neurologist (or if one day I need one) we have every right to go to a doctor at that clinic. That's where we live and where our insurance is. Kile cannot prevent us from seeing another doctor there. I'm not sure who he thinks he is telling us to get a referral at a completely different place. He cannot do that. I regret ever taking my son to see him in the first place and I don't even know what I was thinking taking him back to him again. I think I had forgotten how bad the first experience was with him. But when I referred back to the message records from four years ago after getting drop kicked by him a second time, I was quickly reminded about what I had dealt with before and I no longer want my son to see him. Kile needs to learn how to treat people. He has the worst bedside manner I've ever dealt with. Choose a different neurologist if you want a doctor who actually treats you like a human being. I'd give zero stars if I could. I said what I needed to say in a couple different reviews. I'm glad the public is now made aware of what Kile did firstly to my son and secondly to me, which affected our family. How Kile made us wait a whole year only to turn around and punt on my son's evaluation appointment because of his petty grudge that he holds from four years ago probably cost my son his eligibility for benefits, as an up-to-date evaluation would have helped my son's case. We are now a year behind for that because of what Kile did. He completely wasted our time! I have no desire to take my son back to Kile ever again. Amazing doula! Our…read morepregnancy was complicated because we wanted pure natural birth with no drugs. The ultrasound said our baby's head was big (78 percentile) so we asked around for a doula to help, and everyone recommended Alicia! Alicia is very professional and has a lot of experience with births. Alicia understood that every mother is different and are looking for different things out of the birth (for us we were looking for no drugs), so Alicia came to our house and sat with us for 4 hours, to go over a list of topics she prepared so that she understood what we are looking for and how she can best help us. Alicia even took our rapid at-home covid test, just to increase the odds of the birth going smoothly. Alicia answered all of our questions and put us at ease before the birth, which goes to show how capable she is as a doula. Alicia is always organized and on top of things. When my wife's water broke 4am in the morning, we texted Alicia instead of calling to avoid waking Alicia up in the middle of the night. To our surprise, Alicia immediately texted back. You can definitely depend on Alicia to be there for you when problems show up during your pregnancy. This is especially important to us, because we were 1st time parents with 0 clue. Even though we took the online birth classes at Sutter, we only had knowledge on paper--Alicia had actual experience and can give valuable insights that you need to navigate a delivery. Originally the hospital said no doulas are allowed entry due to Covid. But Alicia called the hospital and managed to confirm that she can indeed be present at the hospital during our delivery. Talk about professionalism! On the day of the delivery, we called Alicia 6am in the morning, and she came by, and stayed 12 hours until the paper was delivered 6pm afternoon. Each time the nurses and doctors recommended drugs, Alicia helped us ask for alternatives and options. That was helpful because as 1st time parents and lacking experience, it s hard to ask questions when nurses or doctors recommend anything--Alicia helped us reduce the amount of drugs to absolute minimal levels. During the delivery, Alicia helped lift my wife's left leg, while I lifted my wife's right leg. The nurses were busy elsewhere with bringing equipment to the doctor and getting medical supplies, so the room was short-staffed. Having Alicia be an experienced helping hand was like having an extra nurse in the room. During the chaos of the actual delivery, having an extra nurse who is experienced and knows what she is doing, is a god-send. I cannot overstate how important and how much of a game-changer it is to have an additional professional in the room--when labor happens, it's a mess and everyone's scrambling, and additional professional helping hands makes a world of difference. Alicia was instrumental to our baby being delivered safely and smoothly. Thank you Alicia for all the help. Would definitely sign up again if/when we have another pregnancy in the future!

She made plenty of time to meet with us before the birth to understand our hopes, wishes, concerns, and help educate us on all things to expect. She was understanding and non-judgmental, compassionate, and willing to support the type of labor and birth we were hoping for. When the time came and we asked her to come help support myself in labor at home, she came, and was a wonderful presence. She provided emotional and physical support for myself during many hours of labor, as well as to my husband. We also decided to have her take pictures throughout the experience, and she caught some incredible moments, including several of our sweet little dog that she so patiently put up with. When we thought it was time to go to the birth center, she came with us, not only once, but twice, and then, when we determined we needed to transfer to the hospital she also joined us. Throughout the entire experience, she was supportive, helpful, and felt like another member of our family. She really helped make one of the most challenging experiences much more manageable and pleasant. We highly recommend her to any families looking to have a Doula partner with them for their birth.
