    Mixed Turkish Delights

If you're looking for a unique spot to check out in Tampa, look no further. Al-Taybat has everything you need, want and more. I went to try their Dubai chocolate strawberry cup and walked out with SO many more things. The viral fruit shaped ice cream, Dubai chocolate, Turkish delights, snacks, and more lol. The service has always been top notch and everything is so incredibly flavorful, but the spot transports you to the Middle East without ever leaving Tampa which I find to be such a cool experience. If you go, make sure you try the kunefeh and their desserts, they're all freshly made and truly delicious.

A Middle-Eastern grocery store with a 1000 and 1 imported delights. The name is derived from Saudi Arabia. From coffee, to spices, roasted nuts, decadent pastries, seeds, turkish delights, flavored nuts, sweets, homemade products, teas and their iconic Dubai Chocolate Cup with Strawberries. With a unique crispy crunchy pistachio topping that had a texture of pistachio sugar crystals. The Dubai Cup alone is worth the trip. An ambrosial, delectable and heavenly treat in a plastic cup for $12. The prices seem high but I don't know because I am unfamiliar with what normal pricing should be. But, I was quick to reach $100 and ended up putting stuff back. The cashier noticed my hesitation and gave me a 10% discount to ease my pain. I ended up with nuts, spices and 4 Dubai cups. I used the spices to make some tasty wings. If your in an adventurous mood, this is one of the places in this area of middle-eastern stores that you do not want to miss. I am already planning a return visit to collect some of the many spices and spice mixes that I saw. A huge array heaped in bowls like a bazaar. I love to experiment in the kitchen. They are located on Busch Blvd. just east of Mel's Hot Dogs and near Sammi's Bakery, another must see.

    The new baklava bar

This is the new bar that they just put out and it is so much better than the Dubai bar so you know it's amazing because Dubai bar is so so good. I don't know what to say other than this is a really cool place to walk into and experience it's family owned, and these chocolate bars are amazing. these bars are $25 and they are worth every penny so go get you one! Tell him you want the new bar and I believe it's called the baklava bar. The Dubai bar has that pistachio crunch, but This has like a little bit of a nuttier crunch. They're both amazing but I would definitely try the new bar.

Me and my friend brought our daughters here to get the infamous Dubai chocolate bar that everyone raves about on social media - it did NOT disappoint. The original Dubai chocolate bar is really delicious, but they also have different flavors, we tried the biscoff cookie version as well and we loved it. Definitely recommend trying!

Al-Tayabat has all kinds of sweets, coffee, and candy that you could want. The staff is so kind and offer samples throughout the store so you can try before you buy. They offer a variety of halal gummy candies at $12 a pound. Definitely will be coming again!

The best customer service experience. I was attracted to this place because of a video I saw about Dubai Chocolate and how this place has it. Being in the area I stopped by. I was greeted with warm welcomes and offers of coffee. Every single Middle Eastern spice of dessert was there. They were offering me free samples of their newer creations. I only spent $30 there but I will be back. Their desserts were all fresh and amazing. There is something so understated about mixing honey and pistachios. Anyway, they treated me incredibly and you should consider their pastries over the typical. You will be pleasantly surprised and thank me for it.

Hassan the maker of incredible Lebanese sweets!

I've never been to Lebanon but if the hospitality is anything like it is at this hidden local gem grocery, it's definitely worth visiting! Upon walking in, we pleasantly encountered sights, delights and welcoming staff! The grocery is spotlessly clean, well lit and full of wonders! We first met Hassan who encouraged us to sample some of his pistachio crunchy sweet vaguely baklava-like unique pastries! Oh my gosh they are good! We bought many! Plus, Hassan graciously allowed us to take his picture and even got a picture with my wife! Priceless! Then, we met Dean. He explained the wonders of Lebanese almonds, spices and coffee. I got some of all three! The coffee can be ground to order with or without cardamom. We of course got with! Then Dean offered me some free coffee already made for customers. Smooth, black and energizing! The almonds from Lebanon are delicious and easily twice as big as we're used to. We got half a lb and some Lebanese roasted peanuts as well! The spices are plentiful and only $10/lb. We didn't need a lb so the price was very affordable. I got three different Lebanese spices and we used the Lebanese spice mix designed for meats to make seasoned hamburgers tonight. On my gosh! Two heaping tablespoons of Lebanese spice, one teaspoon of salt, 2 lbs of good fresh organic meat mixed with 2 eggs, half a chopped onion and some seasoned Panko bread crumbs. A literal taste sensation ensued! Best burgers ever when cooked quickly in a very hot cast iron skillet. Life is great with Lebanese hospitality and delicacies!

This Roastery has a large variety of middle eastern goods - from homemade desserts, spices, nuts and more it was amazing seeing such a large selection of products. It was interesting seeing international products I've never eaten before. The employees were also great at helping us select from the vast variety of TASTY desserts. I got baklava, Turkish delights, hummus and pita and everything was delicious. Not everything is labeled (or labeled in English) so I would suggest adding for more clarity but either way a great spot!

Success!! This is my 2nd visit to Sultans Market, the last nearly 2 years ago. The guy that helped me is likely the manager or owner, I did not ask. But to my delight he was a friend of Chef Yousef and was able to direct me to the olives, zaatar and olive oil I needed to complete my mission. The olive oil was freshly pressed Palestinian Extra Virgen oil very high in polyphenols (43 X) for you health aficionados. Better, less expensive and larger quantity than the expensive "polyphenol-rich" version (34X) sold online and advertised in social media. It was a perfect match and compliment to the hummus. Also found a delightful jar of olives from Jordan, packed in olive oil with lemon, bay leaf and slightly zesty yellow pepper that paired nicely with my other ingredients. Then, the perfect resealable package of Zaatar to mix will the olive oil for dipping pita bread. Last I bought some halal mediterranean style seasoned chicken for the air fryer at home. The last picture shows the results of my adventure today, I can not believe how many olives I ended up eating! On my 1st visit shopping at this Mediterranean Market was an impulse for me as I drove down Busch this morning. A pleasant surprise for an adventurous cook. There was some beautiful fresh lamb. I bought cryovac greek olives, some Indian Spice, baklava, hummus, fresh zuchini and other items. I disliked the cryovac olives intensely, not sure of their purpose but avoid them. This place was well stocked, diverse, somewhat busy and fun to browse. A nice lady shopper volunteered cooking advice on items I bought. As I venture into that genre of cooking, this store is going to be essential with their treasure trove of spices, fresh halal lamb, veggies and halal chicken and myriad of other products. The more I learn, the more I like this place. One large advantage is the variety, cost, quality, scope and breadth of products compared to the tiny amount of shelf space dedicated to these items in a grocery store. A place to broaden your horizons. Come get ya' some!

I want to like this place a lot more, I really do. I mean anywhere that offers completely vegan…read moretakeout should be five stars in my book. So what's the problem? First, I'll start with what's not the problem. This small hole-in-the-wall store is completely filled with vegan items. Some of these are items I've seen at Whole Foods, Nutrition S'Mart, Chuck's, Trader Joe' s or Abby's, and some of them I've never seen before (different brands of salmon patties, tuna and fried chicken just to name a few). Items for sale include canned goods, frozen foods, condiments, snacks, baking items, spices, homemade baked goods and fresh smoothies. All of these seemed to be priced pretty close to your local health food stores like Chuck's, Abby's or Nutrition S'Mart. Our original reason for visiting was to order some take out. The menu was hard to find (it was behind you when you walk in, not on a big sign over by where you order). Once I found the menu, I asked for a tofu wrap. The wrap was full of fresh veggies and nicely textured tofu. The tofu was some of the best I've had recently. I loved that the sandwich could be topped with any number of vegan condiments including chipotle mayo. I opted for plain old mustard since my daughter was sharing it with me. Speaking of my daughter, that child started crying from hunger while we waited for our sandwich to be made. What did the employees do? They offered her a homemade carob cookie absolutely free. The crying immediately stopped (hmmm...maybe I should teach her to cry on command so we can get more free stuff) and a huge smile spread across her face. The owner of the shop was very knowledgeable. She took me on a tour of the store, talked to me about the products, shared which ones were vegan and not (they have like three or four things in the store that have eggs in them) and gave me recommendations based on customer feedback and popularity. Not sure if you like something? Instead of buying an entire box, Natural Detox/Vegan Take Out will sell them in smaller increments. Buy only two vegan chicken patties or nuggets instead of an entire box. That's something I've never seen before. So why only three stars? Well, the reason I needed a tour of the store is because nothing is labelled. You'd find the same products at two different places in the shop. The refrigerators aren't clear, so you have to open them to see inside. Then you stand there looking around and rearranging things. All the while energy is being wasted unnecessarily. The owner did apologize a lot and kept saying she was in the process of defrosting refrigerators. I'll give them a few weeks and then stop back in. With a few simple tweaks, like better organization and labels on the outside of the refrigerators telling you what's inside, this store would easily be a four or even five star one.

I've been to Natural Detox/Vegan Take Out a few times and it is awesome. A rotating menu of…read moredelicious vegan entrees and desserts that are homemade. The owner is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The small shop has some nice items, too. I love the ambiance, like your sitting at the table in the cozy kitchen of a doting relative. I had coconut curried rice with vegetables and faux chicken and I couldn't believe how delicious it was. If you're looking for healthful vegan fare that is predictably tasteful, you'll find it at this spot.
