Very good place for children. All the staff is very friendly and this is the only dentist office I bring my children

DO NOT BRING YOUR LITTLES TO THIS DENTIST OFFICE. They are in it for the money and do not communicate properly to the parents of the procedures your kids need instead they trick you to thinking your kids need more dental work than expected. When explained the procedure the dental assistant who said her name was "Gaby" (I doubt it) but explained everything super fast and I had to ask several questions for clarification because I am very strict with anything regarding my kids health and needs. I asked if I could be in the room and she said no and I told her when women have c sections they have a support person and she said that's different and she laughed at my face saying they are not the same. I already got a bad feeling about her because she was not helpful at all. I drove all the way from Merced to Madera and decided okay I will proceed and asked AGAIN for clarification okay so just two crowns on the bottom and possibly 2 fillings on top? She said yes and that she sees more kids getting more work done so it's not abnormal. After we went to a waiting room and I asked again for clarification of how many crowns & she said "4 and then sorry I mean 2" and I was like okay just making sure. After they took my son and I was worried praying everything will be okay. I left to get something to eat and to return back right away so I could take my mind off the stress if he would be okay. Shortly after I get a call saying they took an x ray while he was under laughing gas and said the filling on the top turned into needing a crown . Very suspicious. -they did not ask for my consent for x rays when my son was in laughing gas -they told me my son was only going to need 2 crowns and a filling and then called me before the procedure saying the top filling will be a crown and I asked if it was necessary and she basically just said yes As a mom who is just worried for their kids safety I drove back and hoped everything would be okay. -my son left with 7 crowns!!! I did not give consent for 7 crowns I received verbal confirmation that my son would only be getting two crowns on the bottom and possibly 2 fillings on top. How did 2 turn into 7 crowns? When I asked to speak to the manager she was NOT helpful and was being very short with me. I asked for her name and phone number and just gave me her first name Leticia and would not provide me her phone number. I told them it was very wrong for not communicating effectively and basically lieing about dental work needed done. Places like this prey on low income families with medical. The assistants were very good, but the doctor provided very poor service. The doctor needs to be more patient with her patients.

The new location at 509 E. Almond Ave. Madera CA, 93637 is way more spacious than their old location. Way more patient chairs also in the back. We were in and out way quicker than before. read more

My daughter underwent a procedure today and was understandably frightened and tearful. Unfortunately, the individual in the back exhibited unprofessional behavior, reprimanding my daughter instead of offering comfort, and instructing her to be silent in a rude manner (telling her to shut up because she was going to scare the other kids). My daughter got more scared. She informed me of this rude incident as soon as we got in the car after her procedure. read more

horrible staff very rude to be telling a scared child to be quiet for it being the first time... my son got some work done and was in and out for for him to be groggy and crying all he remembers is them telling him to be quiet in a rude way during the procedure is crazy! even after the assitant was asking why he was crying with an ugly tone. never will I go back. read more

This appointment was scheduled two months out and finally our appointment was here. We knew that work needed to be done - and they let me know that if my child whose 18 months can not eat 4 hours prior to his appointment. His appointment was at 3pm - and so we didn't allow him to eat after 11am. Keep in mind kids who only are getting work done are to not eat prior to their appointment. I went In - and was immediately ignored - there was no sign in sheet - so I stood there by receptionist who didn't acknowledge I was there - wondering what do I do... do I just sit ? They didn't give me eye contact and just said we will give you a sign in sheet - and finally did and I signed in and sat down - I had to fill out paper work (keep in mind I was referred here by our primary dentist ) - I fill out the Info - and was rudely confronted by the receptionist (seated to the right : closest to the door) - that other than mom & dad we needed a emergency contact, - I let her know I had 0 family here or anyone to put down and she said I must WRITE something down and so I wrote "no one" since I was being pressured to put down SOMETHING. The receptionist with the attitude was allowing all the 3:30pm appointments pass us by due to control and being able to be petty - since it was her position to put the file for our appointment for the dental assistances and dentist - I just thought to myself how sick can someone be mean to a 18 month child who needs to be seen and hasn't ate because they misinformed me that my son was gonna get work done. (Poor thing was starving) My appointment was at 3pm - didn't get in close to 3:45pm and out by 4:30pm - My son was starved - them telling us that he was gonna go into surgery and ended up not - This family business (how it's held) Please better inform your employees in the front desk to properly inform your clients. I did not feel comfortable with also giving my son something to "calm" down and then strap my son in a blanket is what the assistant said - and then givin laughing gas - keep in mind my son is 18 month. That's not comfortable at all - TRAuMAtizing ?! SHE SAID HE WONT BE ASLEEP. like no. That doesn't sit right with me. I spoke to them respectfully and let them know I had to discuss with my husband. I am hoping my 2nd visit is a better experience where there can be a more welcoming vibe. IF I return cause I will be calling other places for other opinions. read more

My 4 year old with Autism got treatment for a cavity today. We had such a great experience the staff was so friendly and good with him. Dental work was done and my little one went home with toothpaste, toothbrush and dental floss. I highly recommend them especially if you have a child with special needs. read more

Great service, not a place that tries to scam you. Dr. Nadia and staff have always treated my family well. They never try to upsell a service or go through with a procedure without explaining it thoroughly and making sure we understand. We have come with our families needs for quite some time and will continue doing so. I also appreciate how quick the wait times are despite being full. A great environment for kids. We drive all the way from Monterey to see Dr. Nadia. The staff is awesome, and my kiddo loves all the murals on the walls, and the fact that he gets to watch movies and cartoons while he's getting his teeth cleaned. Other doctors wanted to send my then 1 year old to Stanford for an unnecessary procedure, Dr. Nadia was able to fix the problem in her office with a less invasive and more gentle way. I'm happy to say that our now 3 year old is cavity free and we are looking forward to our next visit. read more

Front desk staff is nice. But the dentist? No. My son had a checkup and the nurse took X-rays and cleaned his teeth, then the dentist came for what seemed liked 2 seconds, looked at his teeth then told the assistant to "let the mom know he will need caps and a root canal" all loud and then left. She didn't talk to me at all, didn't even look me in the eye. I felt she did not care about making a relationship with my child or me the parent. Her assistant then turns and tells me everything I just heard the dentist say lol! Pretty awkward. Yeah I understand that she is very busy (only dentist there) but she was very unwelcoming. Then the assistant tells me the work he has to have done will require him to be wrapped up in a fucking blanket or papoose that way he can't move during the procedure. I'm sorry what? And on top of that no parent can go back with him. They wanted to give him a medication that makes him feel drunk then take him back strap him up and put the laughing gas on him. My son is very claustrophobic so there's no way I would agree to this so I let the assistant know if there were any other options because I didn't like the fact that my son would be strapped to a table. She giggled and told me that was their only option and that I shouldn't try to find anywhere else because it will be the same everywhere and there would be no place that lets you in the back with your child. The whole experience did not sit well with me at all. Bad vibes all the way around. So I called a few different places and found one in Fresno and they saw my son the very next day. This dentist gave us the option to use laughing gas WITHOUT BEING STRAPPED TO A FUCKING TABLE AND I WOULD BE ALLOWED TO BE IN THE BACK WITH HIM, or they could refer him to the surgery center and have him put to sleep. Please do not give your children a traumatic dental experience by having them strapped to a table. They say your child will be feeling drunk and won't know what's going on but it's bullshit. Every child is different and they have no idea the way each child will handle it all. I will never bring my son back to this place ever again I wish I could give zero stars!!!! read more

Since my daughter was 6 we were aware she was missing adult teeth & Dr Nadia recommended we extract 4teeth .. got a second and third opinions and both Dr's agreed to not extract to hold onto teeth as long as possible therefore we did not extract. Fast forward to she is now 8 she got a abscess so then I was for removal due to sign of infection and adult teeth growing in. Dr Nadia snapped at my husband for not extracting teeth way back then to "avoid this" . Clearly they are baby teeth and needed to get removed eventually but Dr Nadia obviously wanted to rush to get paid (that's what I think). What 6 year old should have 4 teeth extracted? Update- After talking to her ortho and another dentist they are unsure of why Dr Nadia was in such a rush to pull the other two as there is nothing wrong with them. I just left this office. The doc an her assistant both came out an said she did good. My daughter said different when we got in the car she started crying an saying it hurt she yelled an try to tell them an they didn't do nothing just kept working on her. One of the assistant came out with a video of my daughter showing me the dentist working on her. I didn't give no concent to video my daughter an who phone was it at that the male assistant. I don't trust them I went there for my daughter to get 2 teeth taken care of but they come out saying she needs 7 caps I asked for white caps or if they could do fillings instead but they told me they don't white caps for baby teeth they only have silver but later in the day I heard a women tell them she wanted white they said I will tell the dentist and it would be $300 for each cap my daughter was in the back room for almost 2 hours she came out with fat lips she also has a crack on the side of her mouth from them being rough with her mouth and she has a big bruise on her elbow she was so drugged up it took hours for her to even look normal she's complaining that her legs hurt and after looking in her mouth they seem to cut her multiple times I thought it was odd how loud they put the music on in the backroom were no parents are allowed they make you feel like this is so normal to not be with your child during the procedure but it is NOT I would recommend going somewhere else where you can keep your eyes on them at all times my daughter also peed herself and when they brought her out to me they didn't even mention it it wasn't till I said omg she's all wet what happened they said oh yeah she wet herself no care for my child at all I left there in tears on how bad my daughter looked I feel like I failed her by taken her here read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Please DO NOT take your child here. It is a very torturous and traumatizing experience. They say parents are not allowed back with child but you should know this not a normal practice. If they refuse to see your child you CAN take them somewhere else where you will be allowed with them. This place is HORRIBLE and it should definitely not be up running. I have never been more disgusted with a place of business, especially medical. Staff are also rude. Brought my 9 year old her for 1 fracture tooth was a baby tooth . They connected her to the gas and walked away she started to panic because the gas was so fast she felt it come out her eye sockets I yelled for the asst. she said it's normal walked away no one was with us my daughter then fell asleep or past out not sure I kepted calling the dr she came back rudely said I told you she would be on the gas from a long time . Ok but unattended ? She a small child ? She walked away I was abt in tears then she came number her up and it took seconds again a baby tooth that was already loose just needed to be helped out and it was off . They then turned in the oxygen to help her wake up more for another 10 mins she was still fuzzy waking up . Later that day I noticed she was still scared of the experience she started having panic attacks took her to children's hospital they said she was healthy and this was a transcript experience for her give her time and at school she started to have panic attacks so now she has to sue the school psychologist to help her learn to breathe threw them it took well over a month to get to normal after this frantic experience . I read the reviews after my child seen the dentist here. I'm surprised about the negative reviews since the care we got here has been exceptional. I decided to leave my child's dentist because the care she got was horrible and thank goodness we did and found this wonderful office. Since day one , they were booked up a month , and several days later the reception called me to let me know they had an opening ! My child got fillings initially and they did it all in one visit . No need to return like other places. My child injured her tooth and they got her in the same day ! We were given several options to remove or keep , dentist explained everything and made me feel at ease. I called back to inform her tooth was turning colors and once again they took in same day and she was able to save her tooth . Staff is great , friendly and knowledgeable and my child is no longer scared of the dentist. I completely trust them and that's been hard to do because of our past experiences with pediatric dentists. Word of advice , you will not be allowed to go back to the procedure room ( that's common sense ,due to possible contamination or surgical instruments ) you are definitely allowed to be in examination area . I had no issues and they handled my daughter with great care and compassion she's 4. I live an hour away and I will continue to drive because they've been amazing. I highly recommend them. read more

Receptionists are so rude & unprofessional. Every single time I've came to bring my daughter there's always a problem. Called to let them know my daughter has been in pain ever since she got work done, she tells me to be here any time before 1pm. So I show up at 11:40 tell me to sign in, so I do so. Not until 12:20 she calls me up to say she won't be seen until 1pm. So she wasted my time telling me to be here anytime before 1 pm. And has my daughter sitting there in pain, over work that THEY did wrong. read more

I took my kids here and they received the best treatment and care any parent could have asked for. I saw the reviews before I went in so I was a bit skeptical but I was completely proven wrong. The assistant that did my kids x-rays and cleaning was extremely nice and patient with them, talking them through it all so they weren't scared. They even get to watch a movie while they get there cleaning done. After the doctor came in she introduced herself and let me know if my kids had cavities or not, she had to leave after that which is understandable because she is the only doctor in the office and has many other patients to take care of. The assistant explained everything and how the the cavities could be fixed. The she also explained how they use oral sedation(use so they don't remember) for younger kids so they don't get scared during treatment. Also she explained that they don't allow parents in the treatment room, which I was a little concerned about (but it is a dental surgery). She explained that the kids are monitored and an assistant is with them at all times and that I could ask for update at any time while my child is back in the treatment room. My child was in the treatment room for about an hour. When my child was brought out to me, he was perfectly fine(a bit upset about being numb but then again he is young, any young child would be). He came out with a popsicle and a toy, all the after procedure was explained to me and the assistant told me that if I had any questions or concerns when I got home to not hesitate and give them a call. After we got home, an hour and half had pasted by and my child was back to normal he didn't remember anything and wasn't scared. I have no idea why there are negative reviews about this place but I will never change or go to a different dental office. Horrible experience, I took my daughter in today due to pain in one tooth. They took my daughter to the back and brought her back to me with 9 crowns. I was so upset because the treatment plan was never explained to me. When I confronted the receptionist, Rebecca, she continued to insist that treatment was explained to me. She was very unprofessional in the way she handled the matter and had no sympathy. Rather than apologizing for their mistake, she continued to argue with me and raise her voice. If they would have explained to me the treatment plan I would've had the opportunity to refuse the dental work. read more

I took my son in for his treatment last Thursday and the lady that was doing his treatment looked really frustrated tired upset and mad they tied my stand up and he ended up getting scratches on his wrist he couldn't breathe well after his treatment the ladies there were been really rough and we left the clinic he started complaining about his throat hurting I took him to the doctor and now he has a throat infection He hasn't been able to eat and he has a little cut inside his mouth from them stretching his mouth a lot the lady that I did his. treatment Didn't give me no information about my son treatment after she was done parents if you really love your kids you will not take them to this dirty clinic I don't recommend it three are always in a hurry to get patients in announce that will be my first and last visit there even if it takes me 100 different dentist I will make sure I take my son to one that treats him well and myself well because I will not go through this again so ladies please don't take your kids here they will get a throat infection like my son did read more

I took my son for his dental surgery and they were supposed to put him to sleep for the treatment, they gave him this medicine and he never felt sleepy like they told me, also they didn't let me in with him and after 40 min he came out and they didn't explained anything post treatment, just to be careful that he didn't bite his lip and that was it. At home my baby told me they tied his arms legs and body and he couldn't move and that he could still feel much pain and was aware all the time and that he couldn't tell them it was hurting! It was a very traumatic experience for him never going back there! He us usually never scared of appointments but he is scared now. read more

Took my daughter in and she started crying and became scared , the dentist told her that if she doesn't stop crying she was gonna have me (her mom) kicked out which made my daughter more upset, then she threw up and they didn't bother to turn her head , they let her choke. The staff kept walking by the room speaking Spanish talked about certain patients, not knowing I speak & understood perfectly.. no privacy in the "patient room area" so open that staff & patients ( and family including little siblings running around) while your getting examined.. staff rushing for you to agree & get your service done. Dr. Came in & started speaking without introducing herself. When asked what the treatment consists of she stated her assistant would come in to speak to me, and left.. & by the way they tie your kids down to get treatment done &&&& NO your not allowed in the room! Dr Nadia is amazing, and really cares about her patients. I feel that she wants the best for my kids' teeth. The staff are incredibly nice, and they have a thousand movies for the kids to pick from and watch on an individual tv, so the kids forget they are at the dentist. They also do everything to make the kids comfortable and relaxed and happy. read more

The asked me to show up early and made me wait for over an hour and 45 minutes. I should have showed up late. The waiting room is small and stuffy. You cant hear the receptionist over the tall counter and tv. It was pretty dirty too. Im never coming back here! read more
