With that being said, I can appreciate the sexy, diverse, and inclusive vibe they facilitate across their dance formats which makes it 1000x more enjoyable to experience. Madhouse Dance is such a great place for us ladies to go and get a great workout, have some fun and learn some spicy moves! I bought a pack of classes during one of their sales as I was very interested in trying it. First off it's always a little intimidating going to a new work out class but everyone here was very friendly and made me feel welcomed. It is a safe space to express yourself and dance your heart out! All of the instructors I've had so far had amazing energy and shared some great moves that were also easy to follow. I suggest letting the check in person know it's your first class so they can guide you (like borrowing knee pads or grabbing a chair for certain classes). Other than my slight difficulty in finding it and somewhat limited parking (there's a small lot and street parking), I love this place and would highly recommend trying it! read more

I love this place!! They have created such a safe space for women and women identifying individuals! They have the most fun classes that make you feel sexy and sensual. They have all kinds of classes from cardio dance, choreography class, to heels classes. I always feel so empowered leaving these class. All the instructors are so friendly and energetic and the staff that check you in at the beginning of class are always so sweet. I always feel so welcome when I am in this space. They have plenty of parking in the lot and some street parking. They have two very cutely decorated bathroom for attendees. They also have a water refill station! Tried their twerk and tone class. They have knee pads to borrow for newbies. Loved that there was a parking lot. Studio waiting area is small so can be crowded in between classes. Class itself was fun, very high energy, lots of cardio. It was cold, but immediately helpful because you'll be sweating up a storm. First heard of Madhouse through the Anchored in Wellness Event. It was great I had so much fun. My friend suggested we go in studio for a class. It was not for me at all. Seems like most of the people are regulars so they know what's happening. As a first time participant I was expecting more instruction. The class starts and the instructor was so enthusiastic, shrieking over the mic, I couldn't understand what she was saying. Either lower the music volume or adjust the mic settings. The class overall didn't feel structured. It felt like random dance moves thrown in at different times. I'm also surprised that there was minimal instruction on the choreography. The instructor only covered a few moves before each dance. As someone who does not take these types of classes often it was confusing and discouraging. Okay now - that was fun as hell! Totally different type of workout to shake up the routine. I loved that it's women only and everybody seemed to be having a great time. The instructor Rachel had a ton of energy and was super friendly. I am 46 years old and blew out my knees dancing in the late 90s and early 2000s so I couldn't do as much of the jumping stuff because my knees started to hurt after about 15 minutes.... Le sigh. My friends and I came here for a bachelorette party. Most would not have thought to do a sexy dance class, but everyone had a blast!! First the studio is set up to make everyone comfortable. The lights are OFF, and there was just a little bit of red lights. Enough to see but not enough to feel self conscious. They also provide knee pads and towels, but you'd want better knee pads if this is something you continue doing. There's a water station so you can refill your bottle and cubbies outside the room. Olivia, the instructor, had so much energy. She provided clear instructions that were easy to follow. She made the class welcoming and was all about empowerment and self love that you couldn't not feel better about yourself upon finishing the class. The class itself was challenging, fast pace, fun. I am so glad I joined. At first I was a little frustrated bc some of the instructors are super fast, but I stuck with it and about two weeks later I was following along totally fine. Best dance class ever! I've taken both the redroom cardio and heels classes and have loved every second. Olivia is an amazing teacher and makes you feel so comfortable. It's a great community with such welcoming women, both in staff and fellow classmates. I didn't have this kind of dance experience so was a bit nervous at first, but all of the moves they do are achievable and the include modifications for tons of moves so you can alter what you're doing so it works for you. And don't worry about anyone watching you--you'll be too busy feeling great to focus on anything outside of just dancing yourself silly! If you're looking for a killer cardio and toning workout that doesn't even feel like you're working out because you're having so much fun, you need to come here. I've been coming here for 3 years and I absolutely love this space and the people who work here. Everyone is so welcoming and has such infectious energy. I remember a time when I was only doing Liv and Kira's Dance Cardio/Redroom Cardio classes 2x/week for a month and I got soo fit. That hour goes by so fast because it really just feels like you're jamming out to fire music shaking a$$ with your friends. I always tell my friends, it's like going to the club where they play banger after banger and you're sweating because you're dancing the whole time except no hangover and no creepy guys trying to dance on you. For newcomers on what to expect: There's parking in the back. When you enter the space, someone will help you check in. There's towels at the front and knee pads if you're taking any of the Redroom Cardio classes. You can put your things in the cubby by the door. Usually if there's a class before you you just wait in line for a bit. Talk to the other people there and tell them it's your first time because people are always so kind and welcoming if you have any questions or feel intimidated by the space. When you go in there are black circles on the floor for you to stand at so everyone has a good amount of space near each other. Have fun! I always love in the beginning of the class when they tell you there's never pressure to do the moves exactly like they're doing them. Modify as needed any time during the workout. Take up space! No one is watching you. Don't take yourself too seriously. It can feel awkward at first especially if you're taking some of the spicier classes but we all feel that way at some point. Feel silly and goofy and sexy and just go in there to have fun. Society puts so much pressure on women/people to look a certain way or behave a certain way so it feels so liberating to come into Madhouse and just dance for yourself. Wear whatever you feel comfortable working out in. Just a tip though, looser shorts are really better for twerking in. Compression shorts just make it harder for things to jiggle lol. I highly recommend doing the Unlimited Week $35 offer! Take as many classes as you can and try out all of the different instructors. I've taken the Dance Cardio/Redroom Cardio classes with Liv and Kira these past 3 years and always go back to theirs because they're amaaazing but I know all of the instructors are really cool too. OH and if you're into doing somatic work, I sweaaar by these classes. I've done so much therapy and trauma work and feel like all of the jumping around and honestly the twerking really does release stress stored in your hips lmao read more

Emily made me feel welcomed even as someone who doesn't dance (nor have grace or skill in those areas). I came with my girl friends thinking I wouldn't be able to keep up with everyone. ***Update*** The owner, Olivia, cares a lot about her clients. After reading my review, she reached out personally to let me know she watched footage from the "Reverse Cowgirl Ladies Night" and the choreo that was taught on the Beg/Int night was on the more advanced side, and should not have been for that class level. She let me come back and try a different class, at no charge, and even gave recommendations on a few class types and instructors. -On to the actual class - I took one of the recommended classes and tried "beginner heels" with Emily S. And it was SO FUN!! Right off the bat, she said we could ask questions, or to go over steps, or have her move somewhere we could see her better. Very kind and accommodating! Her energy was great, and her easygoing demeanor made the class so much more enjoyable. The routine was so fun and perfectly paced. The overall vibe was so different and empowering and inviting. I felt sexy and good about myself the whole time and can definitely see myself going back. Overall- be careful what you book. I highly recommend starting out with a beginner class so you know what you're in for. But this is a business that really cares about their clients and their overall goal to empower women to feel good about themselves. ***original review*** NOT FOR BEGINNERS. I did the "Reverse Cowgirl Ladies Night" with Rayna and in the description it literally says "followed by beg/int choreography" BEG as in BEGINNER. Nothing about the class was for beginners. If you don't dance and never did actual choreographed dance in high school or whatever, then this is not it. They throw the moves at you fast, and if you fall behind, they will not go over it again. Get there EARLY and try to get a spot where you can actually see the front (instructor). You can ask for clarification on small parts like which foot the weight is on, but god forbid you ask to go over something from the beginning while they are throwing at least 16 more counts at you all strung together. They want to perfect it in small segments, but only give you three chances to get it right before rushing to the next part, and they do not care if you miss the first section or how one step leads into another. My recommendation? Smaller class sizes, and two instructors or more that know the steps so they can go over it with students who are ACTUALLY beginners. Spread the dots on the floor out further so the students have a better view of the teacher, and get the teacher a microphone/headset. Hopefully the other classes are better and easier to follow. read more
