Tim ( the host for the park) is friendly and helpful, and takes great pride in keeping it beautiful and orderly. He lent us an extension cord as the electrical hookups are fairly far away. The park was quiet and lovely. There were lots of friendly people, and it felt like a little community. It was very close to town which was really convenient. We travel in a 36 foot toy hauler with a one ton truck, and I do think that we were pushing it to try to get into some of the spots. Because we had not booked early ( we called the morning of) we had to move spots, and it was the hardest spot we have ever had to get into. Not the parks fault at all, our trailer was just a bit big. Both my husband and I really wished that we were traveling in a sprinter van. That would have been so easy. Lake Mendota is lovely and relaxing, and this is a special spot.

This was our first stay at the property, and every detail, from the check-in, breakfast and beauty of the guest rooms was unparalleled. The owners have done an amazing job at restoring the property and providing superb customer service and care for you. Our stay was better than we could have hoped for! The entire goal of the trip was relaxation and Victorian Dreams made it possible. The room was cozy, unique and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious--huge fan of the caramel french toast. We stayed in the fall, and the Lodi area was beautiful, but this is a location that is worth booking, during any season. We're extensive travelers and are experienced BnB users and providers. Victorian Dreams, and its' owners, are by far at the top our list! We wish we could have stayed longer and will make it a point to come back here annually. We're very lucky to have such a nice place less than an hour away from us in Wisconsin and are eagerly anticipating our next chance to stay agai. Besides for rentals, there are people who own in Burhops, which gives the whole place a neighborhood feel. You can dock your boat here, or rent a boat for the day. We usually stick with the swimming area and sand-box for the kids. Plus there's a cute little park across the street and a couple of little restaurants that are walking-distance away. Keep in mind, this is not a "resort." It's a small, off-the-beaten-path, cabin rental. But if that's what you're looking for, it's the absolute cutest off-the-beaten-path, cabin rental you could ask for!

Parking is good with a overflow parking right across the street. Also to note, service is spotty there. I always rent equipment and have never had any big issues. Quality and upkeep is pretty good. The prices can get high on the weekends, but usually specials on the weekdays. This resort has no frills and extra fancy things, just a spot to do some shredding. The lodge is very snack and like stadium food setting. I will say depending on the season and snow trend, the slopes can get pretty icy, but overall the hills are well maintained. The 'beginners' slope is pretty good for practicing and you can get up and down fast with the conveyor belt railing. The trails in general are on the shorter side but are still challenging and diverse for all levels.

The inn is a story in green design which the owner can describe in fine detail for those who may want to replicate. Morning was leisurely with a wonderful breakfast on the deck overlooking native prairie. Birds and butterflies were a joy to behold. We enjoyed conversation with two other couples while being served by the host and an assistant. The food featuring fresh fruit, yogurt with local honey, crisp bacon, and crepes topped with Door County cherries was delicious. Plenty of great coffee was also appreciated. This country Inn is a delight for anyone who enjoys nature and clean on comfortable accommodations.
