I see the many reviews on how beautifully the property is maintained and I'm confused by it. There…read moreare not nearly enough garbage dumpsters in this complex which causes them to overflow daily. It's repulsive!! There's garbage and old rotted food all over the parking lots. Also people put their bulk garbage out at the dumpsters even though you're supposed to call for pick up and the complex takes weeks to pick it up. So...people's old mattresses and dressers just sit there for all to see for weeks. In addition to that it is a pet friendly complex however, due to the lack of screening of tenants and Maintenance lack of refilling the waste bags there is dog feces everywhere.Good luck not stepping on someone else's dog feces when you walk the grounds. People are gross!! As far as the apartments go, I think they're very pretty inside, and spacious, but the people who live here don't have pride of renting. I've had to submit many noise complaints and complaints of my apartment smelling like cigarettes and marijuana on a REGULAR basis. The marijuana is definitely an issue in the entire complex as there is a group of teenagers who currently use the gym bathroom as grounds grounds for smoking marijuana. So you can't even use the amenities without being punched in the face with the smell of it. It's everywhere. During the summer the pool is poorly maintained by Maintenance and this year it took them weeks to even close it at the end of the season and all of us got to look at dirty pool water for a few weeks. People bring guests that don't live in the community to the pool, which is not allowed and there's nothing done about it. People break the rules and drink alcohol and play music extremely loud during the day and even after hours at the pool and nothing is done about it. Its beyond unfair to the tenants who are following the rules and just trying to enjoy their summer. I've lived in this complex for a little more then 2 years, and recently I lost my job due to the Covid pandemic. I was put in the position to have to break my lease because I could no longer afford to pay the rent here (its way higher then it should be for this area) and they were completely unwilling to work with me in anyway shape or form regarding the fees. They just kept insisting that it was policy and showed no care or compassion for the current state of this country and The people impacted by the virus. I was blown away by their lack of empathy on the subject. Bottom line is I would not recommend this complex. Looks can be deceiving and definitely do your homework and research before choosing to rent here! There are better options out there!! Trust me juliaB. Ive called and spoken to the office MANY times. No help. They tell me all their decisions come from regional, and they are just the messengers. regional is not contactable by renters. So theres no resolution. Office has no power to help. Or doesn't want to. No one should have to go thru this especially during these god awful Covid times. Its shameful

Unfortunately, the business lacks one thing that is required during warmer months, A WORKING CENTRAL AIR COOLING UNIT. I am not a business owner but I think that falls on the responsibility of the property management company or property owner. How can you say you are a community involved business Baxter when you can not even fix an ac unit for over 4 months. I will still sweat it out with my barber because he does amazing work and has amazing customer service skills unlike your office personnel or yourself.

However, I am a very patient person and gave them time to fix issues that occurred like sparks that would fly if we dared to plug in a cable box in the wall of certain rooms. This problem was fixed within the first 2 months of the lease. There was another problem where the house was not wired properly to meters on the home. With this issue the Utlity Providers could not charge us for utilities until the issue was corrected. Even with several other small issues I reluctantly resigned the lease in July of this year. We were promised that there would be a 24 hr maintenance team in the event of emergencies. When a skunk crawled into our basement through a large space in the house's foundation we found the "24 hr crew" to be non existent. Fast forward to present day there have still been issues where the breakers will trip in the home once every few weeks. The landlord was made aware of it. Once again because of extreme patience to us it wasn't a big issue. Then one afternoon the breakers trip again and the woman of the house is home alone. She heads down the wooden steps to reset the breakers and goes through the staircase on the third step from the top. She is only 4ft11 and weighs 160lbs. There is no reason that she should have went through the staircase. Once she was able to get to her feet she then had to climb out. Frantic and in pain she called me immediately to tell me what happened. When I spoke to Lisa at this office she didn't even seem to care and was more concerned with the reason that someone went into the basement. I told her that I felt it was best that we start to look for other living arrangements. At this point she chose to remind me that I am still responsible for rent payments through the duration of the lease. Lisa also states that she was told by property owner that the steps were "fairly" new. Not sure if I can legally get out of the lease, but hoping for the best. If you are looking to move to the Pocono area I would not recommend Michael Baxter & Associates. On a side note the appearance of the apartment was extremely amazing.
