Also don't like they don't offer estimates in writing, first time a phone call and today just a verbal while the estimator was here. Maybe good work but I'd shop around.

A few years ago I hired A1 to mow a pasture by my house that was pretty overgrown--really high…read moregrass and thick-stemmed plants and a fair number of small saplings. I like to allow the grasses and wildflowers in the pasture to grow a few feet high over the summer and again in the fall to provide some wildlife habitat, but if it's not mowed a couple times a year, the saplings will get too big to be mowed. Mark did a great job. He went over the pasture twice to be sure he got all the thicker plants cut down, and the pasture looked great when he was finished--nice and even with no thick stubs sticking up. One thing I really appreciate about Mark is that he keeps an eye out for critters when he mows so he doesn't run them over. This was in the spring, and I had him come back one more time to mow everything again in the late summer. I had him come back the next year and do the same thing and he continued to do a great job. Then my brother got a vintage tractor with a bush hog and he loves to mow with it so now he mows the pasture, but if he ever tires of mowing, Mark at A1 is the first person I'll call! I highly recommend him for your mowing needs!
