Update: 7/30/2018 Even after moving out of center square, I still travel down here from Saratoga Springs to purchase my wine. This store is a hidden gem, it may not be as big as empire wine or all star wine and liquors in Latham, but it has all the hard to acquire, high quality selections that nether store offers. For example, I can not obtain the 2014 Domaine Eden Pinot Noir anywhere else but Capital wines. Other stores sell the more expensive, the same vineyard Pinot noir but from the Santa Barbara location. This year marks their ten year anniversary in business, and they provide such a inspirational selection of high-quality wines, it's my personal favorite wine store when I'm buying wine for someone special, cheers :)

There were significant issues with the website which the Empire team acknowledged were internal technical issues. This delayed ordering to a two-hour process (when it should take minutes) ! Plus a timely response to Empire about a vintage question was not acknowledged without calls back to Empire thus delaying delivery to multiple days where we had to be available to accept delivery. We had respectfully requested waiving of the shipping charge (which was a relatively small amount compared to the order) as a basic courtesy but our email requests were either not answered or later met with abrupt responses telling us No, margins are small . We believe professional and common sense treatment of customers should come first and that this situation should have been handled differently!

He never said a word to me when I came in, never asked if I needed help, or didn't thank me for stopping by. His only word was "yup" when I preemptively set out my ID. The Delice de Bourgogne was the star of the show, a creamy, earthy, and savory masterpiece. The two year aged Gouda and creamy blue cheese were delightful as well!
