Last night, I that dark time return in a Notice of Hearing filing which was received down to the wire from the court date. The filing looked "wrong" yet you must respond for court as they don't accept excuses. In the dark night, I email out to Daniel what to do?!!! First thing in the early morning, what do I see?!! An email response from Daniel. And in his normal, calm manner he tells me what I can do - step-by-step. I can do this now because Daniel is there for me and with me. Divorce is hard enough as it is but I've been on this road for a way long time due to kids being involved. When it's a bad divorce, it carries through because you share kids. I shared tapes with her of my ex leaving voicemails filled with dripping emotional and psychological abuse and threats, i.e. "don't do what your attorney tells you to do, do what I tell you to do, if you know what's good for you". She dismissed my worries about him turning the children against me, made me out to be the one "creating conflict" and wondered why I had "held on to" the tapes, as though that was a bigger concern than what he said on them. The one good thing that came out of the evaluation was that she did recommend therapy for my daughter, something my ex was dead set against. But if I hadn't had my hands full raising my kids and working on my second career, or if the acrimonious divorce wasn't already bleeding me dry, emotionally and financially, I would have filed a formal complaint against her. My own therapist was shocked and absolutely appalled when she heard this story. It took years for the legal system to finally see my ex for who he was, but it did happen. We would have saved time, money, and my children's well being, if she had prioritized justice over neutrality in our case. I agree with the other reviewer here who said Ms. Eidman seemed to have a vendetta against women. At the very least, she expected me to to do the heavy lifting and dismissed my concerns for the children, in favor of the well-dressed, moneyed man in the room.
