Boy, did they come through for us. After looking through a few portfolios of local photographers we came across Barbara Naso. I was immediately drawn to her style. There were real smiles! No posed, awkward grimaces. She is a documentary style photographer and that is exactly what she did, document my family how we were on our wedding day. I wasn't sure what to expect at first but included in our package was an hour "pre shoot" (which I would absolutely recommend) at my house with friends. This shoot made me comfortable with Barbara and her style. She completely blends in with the surroundings. By the time she was done I knew I had a friend shooting my wedding. At first we were a little nervous about the price of the day, but I will honestly say it was worth every penny. And compared to other photographers were offering she was there for much longer and captured much, MUCH more. After the wedding when I checked in with my family about the day, every one of them raved about how Barbara was kind, warm, and a part of the family. My nephew deemed it necessary to chase her with a frog (an obvious initiation to our family.) I very rarely enjoy pictures that are taken of me, I get uncomfortable and make silly faces. I was nervous waiting on the "preview" photos from Barbara. When I received them a few days ago, I was overwhelmed. They are simply perfect. My husband felt the same way. If anyone is hesitant about this type of photography, take the chance. It is so worth it.

I had such a hard time searching for the right photographer for my wedding. It seemed that no two…read morepeople used the same photographer or same company. I looked at, got quotes from, etc. At least 20 different photographers. I met with 4 photographers and finally decided to use Aharon Hill. She was not a photographer all along, originally she was a lawyer, but some things just come naturally and for Aharon, that is photography. She was super sweet and very professional when first meeting with her. We talked about all the options and discussed any and every question that I had. She followed up and was not at all pushy. When we decided to have engagement pictures taken, she was extremely helpful with suggestions of where to have them, asked me for any thoughts about specific pictures I wanted to get, and was overall, just great to work with. I wanted to make sure to have engagement pictures just as a failsafe... if the engagement photos were not good, I would know before the wedding and would have time to find someone else. We had a great time on our engagement picture shoot. Aharon did a great job at prompting us to move and do certain poses without having them feel 'posed' she kept the session light and fun. We also brought along a few complications (a cello and a 7-month old puppy). She was fantastic and super flexible with us and all our requests. I was very excited to get our photos back. She posted a couple teaser photos right after the shoot, which were very good. She told us we would have our entire album within 2 weeks, it was earlier! I saw my entire album and knew for sure that I had made the right decision. The photos were so much better than I had expected. They turned out perfectly. There was just enough 'artsy' to them to make them unique, but not so much they were corny or silly. She gave us exactly what we were looking for. We were trying to coordinate three different household's schedules. We even had to reschedule a couple of times. She was so gracious. We have nine children, ages 6 months to 11 years old, and we also brought along my in-laws. She was so relaxed and laid back, and she made my kids feel so comfortable. Imagine getting all nine kids still and looking in her direction, and smiling on top of that! My kids left that day saying "When are we going to see Ms. Whitney again?" She was that good!
